The location is easy to find; Guntersville is a LOVELY, clean, town with shops and restaurants that are sure to please. The lake house location is quiet and right across the street from the lake with a boathouse and dock to relax on. House was clean with plenty of linens. The washer/dryer was a plus!!
We had a wonderful stay at a cabin in Guntersville. The cabin was clean and organized, plenty of room, and even provided a few snacks and coffee! It was an awesome get away for New Years Eve with family. We plan on booking again in the spring.
Picture perfect, our family enjoyed everything, the views, fishing , all of us cooking in the kitchen. My grandson loves the boat mural , Everyone had plenty of room to sleep the house and host are very accommodating. So much to do near by caverns waterfalls, there is a little something for evewe are definitely coming back
The location was right on, beautiful location. The house was great, everything available that you would expect. I set out on balcony and enjoyed the view, breeze, and birds singing and read. Easy access to lake.
The house is roomy and has a short walk to the lake. Communication was great and I would stay there again!

Older house smell, needs update
We spent a long weekend (Fri-Mon). Owner was friendly and provided quick responses via messaging in VRBO. Upon entering the house there was a bad smell like the house had been sealed up a long time. Dishes in cabinet were dirty/dusty - had to wash before using. In general the house is old and in need of a lot of things including some new furniture and other things.
We used the boathouse for our kayaks. Nice ladder into the water to launch and return. The boathouse was very run down and needs work. A lot of rusty nails should be replaced.
We enjoyed our time but will not likely return to this house.
This is the second time I’ve stayed at this property and loved it both times and will definitely stay here again! This was my for daughters sweet 16 bday party and the girls loved hanging out on the dock, playing games and listening to their music in the living room. Lots of room for everyone and very comfortable. The location is beautiful and the water access is great. Very well equipped with essentials. Host is awesome and very responsive. We just loved it!
It was excellent for the cost and plenty of room. Met the manager when she was attempting to get the a new cable box in. He tried her very best to have the cable working but the company said they had an outage. The children loved fishing off the dock. The house was in good repair with the age reminding me of my grandmama. The AC was nice and cool. The fridge was not the coolest but the freezer worked well. Overall we had a great time and would come back. Thanks Miss Sharron for your hospitilaty.
We all enjoyed our stay. The fish weren't biting but the kiddos said they enjoyed sitting out in the sun and chilling out. Close enough to run in for dinner but far enough away from the city lights and traffic.
The check in was easy. We got the specifics well before arrival. The A/C was not working when we arrived. We made a call to the landlord and he arraigned to sent a HVAC tech VERY quickly A/C was fixed. The property needs some TLC to be great. The upper bunkbed was not properly stacked (one post did not match its mate.). one frying pan has baked-on residue.
Cute little house on quite street. Boat dock was in ruff shape but ok to fish from. The house was nice but for having to pay a 150.00 cleaning fee wasn’t cleaned well. There was dust on glasses and shelves. Under all the beds looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. There wasn’t any trash bags to empty trashcan and replace with new bag. Grills were filthy and not worth trying to grill on. And there was bugs.
Great location, easy access to Huntsville and Lake Guntersville. Had all we needed for a quick weekend trip.

This is the home I grew up in. It's an older home that we have remodeled and continue to upgrade as we can. The feel of this home is cosy and family oriented. One of the best feelings (to me) is sitting at the kitchen table looking at the lake early in the morning. It's a feeling of peace in enjoying God's creation. My husband is a retired Air Force pilot. We have two grown children and five grandchildren.
