Lovely property, but pre-stay accomodation needs improvement
The house is lovely. From the outside it's underwhelming, but inside it is really lovely. The pre-stay communication was poor sorry. Multiple messages via the website received zero replies. No reply to further messages in the 24 hours prior to the booking, hence not even able to confirm this booking was genuine. Only received info how to check in after I phoned the one phone number received the day prior to check in. Only other suggestion re the house is perhaps could provide soap, basin and shower.
House scores 5/5 for location, but everything else is downhill from there. House is right on the road, so quite noisy at night. Cleanliness is average. It's very minimally equiped and quite a few things are missing or broken in the kitchen. I fixed the pots and screwed the handles back on. Bed head in our room was broken. No cookware other than pots. BBQ missing. Sleeping for 6, but only 4 chairs? No washing machine powder. 5 towels for 3 nights Heat Pump pump works well. Its a bit like a flat which has been furnished from a garage sale.
The location was great for access to local activities. The kitchen cabinets are in bad shape. The place seemed a little musty but maybe that comes with a seaside location. Liked having off street parking.
This place was as advertised, it did the job for one night. Was clean and check in was easy. Because it’s on marine parade it’s really really noisy throughout the night and the bedrooms are right beside the road. The property could use some touches to make it more comfortable, it’s very bare bones and the bedding is not very comfy but if you just need a place to stay for the night it’s all good. I don’t think I’d personally stay here again but there’s nothing wrong with the place!
Great house for our quick stay in Napier. Very clean and tidy.
A bit noisy on Friday and Saturday nights - with the rooms right on the roadside, which we aren’t used to, but the house was great for our stay.

Good location
Good location for what we needed. Poor communication from the property owner. There was no bbq I contacted the owner but still waiting for a reply. Smoke detectors were off the wall and no batteries (advised owner of this)
We had a FANTASTIC stay at this property. The bedrooms are spacious, the lounge is enormous. Lots of extra space. A bathroom and an extra guest toilet-what a treat. Very clean. Linen and towels provided. The kitchen had everything we needed - including plunger coffee. It is VERY central: right on the beach, close to the Aquarium and the Ocean Spa, the shops and eateries. We were truly happy in this house and would not hesitate to book it again if we evr have the privilige of visiting Napier again. A big thank you to our hosts.
Beautiful cosy home, lots of space and perfect location everything you need is near and walking distance. Private and love the gate access and off street parking. Loved our stay here will definitely be booking again.
Great location & pretty clean. But felt like the absolute minimum required. One bedroom had no other furniture, so everything has to go on the floor; no rail/hooks for shower towels; not enough crockery for number of beds (had to do breakfast in shifts); could really do with lamps, coasters, pictures, anything to make it homely.
The house is comfortable and easy to stay in. Nothing super flash but original style and has what you need, plus very comfortable beds. Close to the waterfront and just a short walk to town centre.
