Adequate for a couple with children not far from the Blue Pool
Mixed - beds were fine, the two lounge areas were convenient, fridge and freezer of adequate size, shower pressure good, modern washing machine. However only one toilet (for potentially seven people) and located such that it’s window opened onto a lounge area; the light over the kitchen benches and the light on the front porch weren’t working; the sliding door into the bathroom was difficult to manoeuvre; the bowls in the dinner set were far too shallow; the hood over the stove was not very clean. When I emailed the host the week prior to the booked dates seeking information about my booking I got no reply and after the 48 hours I looked for the host’s phone number but the only one provided was that of the real estate agent handling the property, who first told me to contact the host and in the end gave a reply. The neighbours on the eastern side (close to Fisherman’s Cabin’s bedrooms) were noisy during the night e.g. washing machine going at 4am, loud water sound disturbing our sleep.
The location was good for walking to the Blue Pool and to a beach to the south.
It is advertised as ‘just a shack’ - in size it is more than a shack, but it felt tacky and poorly maintained.
I have stayed in another location on the south coast of NSW, virtually on the waterfront, (2 bedrooms, two bathrooms) for the same price so this place felt overpriced.
