Cute cottage in the country perfect for a quick break
This was such a lovely place to stay. It's homely, super cute, with many retro touches and wonderful hosts. Breakfast supplies include freshly baked bread. There are three friendly dogs who are just delightful. Even though it's close to Greytown, you really feel like you're in the country. I highly recommend this as a place to stay.
The owners have thought of everything that can make a stay enjoyable - every detail, down to the hot homemade bread. I loved the space and the feeling of a home. The perfect place from which to visit family and return to.
A wonderful stay!! We enjoyed the comprehensive provided breakfast with fresh bread, and a very well-equipped kitchen. Location is excellent and the hosts are super friendly. Only bear in mind the fridge has no freezing section of you're buying ice cream :)
Would absolutely stay again.
We had the most wonderful time at J & N’s cottage! Everything was quaint, cosy & comfy. J & N are the loveliest people & all the animals were my son’s besties by the end of our stay!
This is a really five star wee cottage. So much was packed into its little frame. So much peace and calm. So much warmth and generosity from the hosts. We loved it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cottage. It has everything you need for a short stay and is well thought out (i.e. umbrella, salt and pepper etc.) and the breakfast provisions were welcomed. The main bed is very comfy! The cottage is also only a short walk from Greytown or a 15min drive from Martinborough and its wineries.
An absolutely excellent stay in a perfect location. The cottage was cosy and beautifully appointed with everything you could possibly need. Janette and Neil’s were the best hosts we have ever had and nothing was too much trouble. Their beautiful dogs came to visit and we really enjoyed them.
Comfortable stay in a cute cottage with an NZ bach feel. Had everything we needed for a comfortable week in Greytown. We appreciated the breakfast food provided, and it was great having our own little kitchen, plus a separate living room. Janette was friendly and thoughtful and the dogs were sweet. Great value for money, would recommend!

Not only is the cottage gorgeous and very well set up with all the comforts and necessities of home the hosts are simply delightful. We felt instantly at home and appreciated the extra lovely touches of homemade bread and Xmas decorations and small gifts for our children as we arrived on Xmas eve. The location is just perfect so close to town but feels rural and the walk to the nearby river is a definite must do. We would definitely come back as we love the cottage but most of all appreciated Jannette and Neills as the perfect hosts and their 4 Bs 🥰
From the outset we were impressed by the hospitality of our hosts, Niels and Janette, who went out of their way to make us comfortable. Very neat Lifestyle. With a warren nearby even the rabbits entertained us on the lawn, not forgetting the sheep and the Lama. A very enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.
We were made incredibly comfortable and welcome. The alpaca and lambs were adorable, and friendly hosts, dogs and cat added to our experience. A cosy and clean cottage, and everything we could possibly need was provided, including freshly baked bread upon our arrival!
This is an excellent holiday home. The surroundings are interesting and the bach very well-presented in a lovely homely way. The hosts were wonderful with great personal touches like homemade bread and fresh free-range eggs, they were very friendly but not in-your-face.
A wonderful place to stay, we will certainly be back and have already told lots of friends and family.
Amazing place to stay. Janette and Niels are amazing hosts who went way beyond our expectations to make sure our stay was great. The fresh home baked bread was delicious. This is a great place to stay and recommend it to others.
We went for a short winter break and found it very cosy. It would be stunning in spring or summer. Jeanette and Niels are wonderful hosts and her home made bread is delicious.
Highly recommend this place.
