Lovely, historic home in a beautiful rural setting. The house is 6 miles to downtown Saratoga Springs (Broadway). 15 minutes to Skidmore College and 20 minutes to Saratoga Racecourse. Lyft and Uber are available at this location.
We do require a 3-night minimum.
The house, built in the 1830s & 1920s, has both the charm and quirks of an old home. The house is great for large groups with two master bedrooms (with attached baths) and a separate playroom behind the garage. There is a large screened in porch with lovely views of the property.
The house stays cool in the summer, we have never needed Central AC. We do have window AC units and fans if it is unseasonably hot.
Notes: - There is a nearby pet boarding facility but the noise is minimal. We do not hear much living there and we have not had any any complaints. If you are sensitive to noise we recommend ear plugs.

A group of friends and I stayed here for a weekend. The house was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The covered porch was great when it rained! The property was lovely and you’re a quick 10 min drive into downtown. We had a great time and would stay again!
This rental was one of the veey best VRBO experiences we have ever had, and we've stayed in a number of places. The house is very historic, very clean, very conveniently located, and a little quirky. There is a dog pound ip the road, and sometimes we heard the pups, but we are dog lovers, so yhe barking was always brief, and did not bother us at all. The owner was very responsive, and communication was excellent. Highly recommend this lovely old home. Our stay was fantastic!botherus one bit. I h
The home is very unique and as advertised. Owner
contact was excellent always with quick response and
helpful. The home has everything any group staying would need from kitchen necessities ,comfortable beds, bathrooms and plenty of room for 7 to 8 people and beautiful well kept grounds.
One of the most historic, beautiful homes I have ever stayed in. Has a lot of character and has everything you need!
Arica was an incredible host and made sure our check-in, check-out process was as smooth as possible. Downtown Saratoga is a nice short drive from the property, and it was nice to retreat into a more country vibe by the end of the day. If you’re looking for a peaceful property to wake up at on a weekend morning in any season, this is the property for you! Would 12/10 stay here again!!
This home and setting is so special. The restoration and preservation of the home’s historical architecture and decor is outstanding. The second you walk in you feel at home. It has so many spaces to enjoy either large gatherings or intimate corners to just take it all in. We were a group of 6 friends who came together for the Travers Weekend. The home is 10 minutes from Broadway and all the action and close to the track as well. So glad we selected this home as our base.

Issues at the Country Estate
To start this conversation, I would like to say that this group of us travels all over the country together. This estate showed very well online, and the house is beautiful.
But, there are some major issues at this old house.
The plumbing in the upstairs bathroom needs work. The showers did not drain and the mold is all over the one bathroom in the Blue room. The owner did bring Drano after calling her to fix the toilet and the lights above the vanity. The toilet fixings were old and needed to be replaced because it ran for awhile. She did come and tried to fix things. The mold is not going away. I took numerous photos.
The entire house smells musty and the large black ants in the kitchen are plentiful.
Don't look at the pillows. They are stained and yellowed.
The grass was not cut, and parts of the property are extremely overgrown.
I looked at this house from the photos online and the estate could be fantastic.
Private location, almost hard to find. Kennel was listed as a potential noise disturbance but we didn't hear a single dog bark. Perfect for a guys chill getaway, foosball, cornhole, darts, etc. Likely a great spot for a family gathering. 5 separate bedrooms with 1 bedroom having 2 beds. Plenty of room in the house, multiple places for groups of people to hang out. Spacious, well kept yard. The only negative was no central air but each bedroom had it's own window unit. We just happened to be there during a heatwave & very humid, otherwise everything was perfect. Thank you!
This house was perfect for our large group of family and friends. We particularly enjoyed the patio. The house has so much character! We loved it.
Easy drive into Saratoga Springs.
The home is incredible and was perfect for our weekend getaway. Some friends decided to go to Saratoga Springs for a 30th birthday celebration and honestly, we spent most of our time at the house because of how lovely it was. It was close to golf courses, and a quick lyft to restaurants, but definitely secluded to where you feel like you’re on your own farm! The yard was great for playing some yard games or just strolling around, and the labrynth was an unexpected, but very much enjoyed feature of the property. I cannot recommend this home highly enough and would definitely love to return in the future!
My friends and I (coming from NYC and Boston) rented this place as it was conveniently 3 hours away from both locations. The house was large and perfect for our needs. Had plenty of room, a great kitchen, nice outdoor space, plenty of room to sleep everyone. It had all we need. We also love old homes and all the quirk & charm they provide.
Our stay with a family of 6 was perfect. Beautiful old, farm house with lots of room and great outdoor seating too. Kitchen and pantry well stocked up. Recreation Room with darts, TV and lounge seating was perfect for the kids. Just 5-10 minutes drive to downtown Saratoga Springs. We plan to come back again next year. Thanks.
My friends and I spend a wonderful July 4th weekend at this lovely home. The home is a large old farmhouse secluded surrounded by some beautiful land. There's so much to this property it's difficult to sumvit all up but it has just about everything. A enclosed outdoor patio, seperate game room building, big kitchen, doing room, large social spaces, big private bedrooms.
Only 10 minutes from downtown Saratoga and about 40 minutes from Lake George. It's a great location and great for families or larger groups of people that want a shared space together.
Very nice owners and very accommodating! We were allowed to have the full checkout day at the home without having to rush out early in the morning. So nice!

The property was as advertised, and perfect for what we were looking for. The property is secluded, with a nice screened in porch. Quirky old (and very big) house with plenty of room and amenities.

This is my mother's house where I grew up. I help her with the online reservations and she takes care of the house rentals. It's a beautiful historic home with the oldest part of the house from the early 1830s.
