From the large deck, the long-range southern views from this cabin are beautiful. Just sit back on the deck or in the hot tub and watch and listen to nature all around you. Inside there is cowboy style décor in every room. There are three bedrooms – king bed on main level and king bed on upper level. Downstairs has a King bed. A screened-in breakfast nook is just off the kitchen. The game room downstairs has a pool table, tv, and a separate exit to a covered grilling area under the deck. There are three bathrooms, large living room and dining area with sliding glass doors to the deck. You don’t need to be a “horse person” to enjoy this exceptional cabin but if you have horses, don’t leave them at home. They will enjoy the two stall barn and paddock areas and pasture. Brook Haven has direct access to two different trails which lead to over 75 miles of riding or hiking trails. You and your horse will love it here! Brook Haven is nestled in Leatherwood Mountains – a luxury resort offering horseback riding, swimming pool, tennis, fishing, tubing, hiking, and a restaurant with full bar. Come experience the mountain life from this beautiful cabin. 2 stall barn available for extra fee, $25 per horse per night.

Guests traveling with trailers or other long vehicles should be aware that the roads inside Leatherwood are narrow, steep, mountain roads that are not conducive to vehicles or trailers longer than a two-horse bumper pull trailer or a gooseneck trailer less than 20 feet long on the main roads. Brook Haven has a steep, gravel drive suitable for only 2 horse trailers and beefy trucks (4 wheel drive). Leatherwood is not responsible for any resulting damage.

This home is located in the 4000 acre, Leatherwood Mountain Resort in Ferguson, NC. Our guests are invited to enjoy our Horseback Riding program where you can experience the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains pristine wilderness by Horseback (reservation required). You will have access to miles of hiking trails, mountain streams, stocked fishing pond, community swimming pool, playground and tennis courts, creek tubing (seasonal), on-site restaurant with active live music & event calendar (guest advised to check hours when planning meals).

Leatherwood Mountains has surveillance or recording devices on the property. Our neighborhood is very safe and our property very secluded. For added peace of mind, we have security cameras by the gated entrance and common areas. Individual properties may also have cameras on the EXTERIOR of homes. Please be assured they are not directed at private areas, hot tub porches etc.
