Thank you for looking at our charming vintage home located in the heart of Fryeburg, Maine, but so close to North Conway, NH. It's the perfect location to explore the western region of Maine and its lakes, the Mt. Washington Valley, the White Mountain National Forest, and the surrounding New Hampshire area. Plus, you're only about 1 hour from Portland on Maine's coast.

Your own private park-like setting on 1.83 acres! Beautiful views of Weston's farm and the mountains.

Secluded, but only a short 5 minute walk to the center of Fryeburg where there are restaurants, coffee shop, and pubs, the Reading Room, and Fryeburg Academy. Walk across the street to Weston's Farm for fresh produce or continue walking across the bridge to Weston's beach on the Saco River.

During the winter, go snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, or snowshoeing in the winter and for down-hill skiing check out Pleasant Mountain (10 miles), Cranmore Skiing (11 miles), Attitash Skiing (20 miles), Black Mountain (21 miles) and Wildcat Mountain (30 miles).

During the summer, you can pick up live Maine lobsters each Saturday at 10am in the campground area across from the Fryeburg Fairgrounds. Visit Storyland or take a ride on the North Conway train as you spend time with your family.

In October, watch the farm hands gather pumpkins from the fields behind the house or wonder through the Corn Maze at Sherman's Farms mid-September through October. Make your reservation for early October for Fryeburg Fair, Maine's Blue Ribbon Classic since 1851, which is just minutes down the street.

Our 1939 home features hardwood floors and lots of craftsman details and character.

There's plenty of room for you and your kids to play and relax with a huge lawn, basement, games, books, Ping Pong, free Wi-Fi, and Roku TV in the living room.

The house sleeps 6 in four beds with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The Master suite on the main floor has a 32" HDTV with Blu-ray in the sitting room, a king bed, and a private bath. First upper bedroom features a queen bed and a crib. Second upper bedroom features two twin beds and a 32" Roku HDTV for the kids.
All bedrooms have A/C units (seasonal). There's a second full bath upstairs and an extra half bath on the main floor.

The three-season porch is a great place to relax, and we have a day bed in the breezeway with a great view of Weston's farm. The living room has a 43" UHD Roku TV & Blu-ray and a video and book library with cable TV & free Wi-Fi included.

Our town water is the same water used by Poland Springs bottling company so enjoy a glass.

The extra-large dining room is great for a large family and has gorgeous farmland views. The kitchen features a 30" glass top self-cleaning range, full size refrigerator, microwave oven, dishwasher, and coffee maker. There is also a four burner gas grill in the garage.

Play Ping Pong on the full-size table in the basement gaming area.

There is a huge screened-in gazebo on the lawn with power and lights, table and chairs. Oversized attached two car garage (great for getting your car, motorcycles, or snow mobiles out of the weather), plus built-in ski racks.

We have a full-size washer and dryer located in the basement for your convenience.

We hope you enjoy your stay and return again and again!

Perfect Maine Escape

When we walked into this house we were pleasantly surprised by how charming it was. It had so much room for us 4 adults and 2 dogs. The house is located on a dead end street with a Christmas tree farm on one side and a huge yard yet it is only minutes from a main street with shops, gas stations and restaurants. The Master suite was very spacious with a sitting room, bedroom and private bath. We didn't have any children with this but there was a great playroom in the basement. The owner, Joe, was very responsive and provided detailed instructions for everything in the house. The yard was covered in snow while we were there and looked beautiful but we hope to be back in the summer or fall when we can use the 3-season rooms and gazebo and hike some of the nearby hiking trails. I strongly recommend this house for the perfect Maine escape!

Fabulous Place!!!

We had the opportunity to stay at this adorable home at the peak of foliage season. We were in Maine for my daughters wedding and could not have asked for a better place to stay! The house was so clean and well appointed. It has everything anyone would need for their stay. The property was gorgeous. The large yard and the view were priceless. Highly recommend stay here.

We absolutely loved this house!

Our group consisted of four adults and my 8-year-old grandson and we all had a wonderful time! There is plenty of space for five people. The beds are comfortable and the three bedrooms are all great sizes, as are the dining room (gorgeous views out the windows) and living room. Having 2.5 bathrooms was very convenient and the three-season porch has plenty of room. Cleanliness is very important to me when renting a house and this house was spotless. The house is at the end of a dead-end, quiet road but is just a few minutes away from a convenience store and several restaurants- I recommend the 302 West Smokehouse & Tavern, the food was delicious (especially the corn bread)! It’s a short walk from the house to Weston’s Farm and Market, (my grandson loved the hay fort) and to Weston’s Beach. This beautiful and historic home has every amenity you could possibly imagine. There is even a ping pong table in the basement and my grandson had a lot of fun learning how to play. The views across the fields are lovely. We enjoyed the yard and the gazebo, which has electricity and is screened in- the perfect place for us to play games. The owners were communicative, friendly and welcoming and we would love to stay again sometime in the future. Thank you, Joe and Christine!

Drift Road

What a find! Super clean, perfectly located for our need, so much room, comfy beds, great water pressure, and a lovely host! Very cool and eclectic and even better...a home with history! We all spent a great deal of time walking around the house checking out the pictures/photos and reading about the home and the area. The neighborhood is quiet, the grounds are beautiful and the view gorgeous! It was a very hot September weekend and the house was cool even without AC. Plenty of fans, towels, and literally, all the conveniences of home. 5star experience for sure!

Annual Mini-Vacation

Two Grandmothers with their respective Granddaughters go on an annual "Mini-Vacation". We chose to be a bit more rural this year and found this delightful home. Not only was it spotless and the location private, quiet and picturesque, it exceeded all of our expectations. There were 6 of us in total, and there was plenty of room to spread out. In the basement, the pingpong table was a total hit and rousing games were had. The basement is decorated and has everything you need for fun activities of all ages (not to mention washer & dryer, sink). The house itself was not only clean and decorated with such charm, the attention to detail and the little "extras" everywhere gave us a feeling of happiness. It is obvious that a lot of love has gone into the care and preservation of this home. We spent a lot of time on the porch, as well. It was still cold (upper 30's and 40's) while we were there, but those beautiful porch windows kept the wind out and the sun warmed it up just right. Many board games were played out there in the sun. That screened in gazebo did beckon us, but the wind and temp's while there kept us from enjoying that. Overall, everything you need is there - and again, it is spotlessly clean. We thank Joe and Christine for sharing their wonderful home with us. It was totally above and beyond what we expected. Thank you!

Property was as promised. Great location and charming decor. We loved that we were close to everything yet situated back off the busier street. Joe was very helpful and responsive to our questions. We highly recommend making this property a 'must-stay' when planning a shopping/hiking/snowmobiling/skiing vacation or anything else in the beautiful Maine/New Hampshire area.

Charming vintage house

What a charming vintage house! The rooms are large. Plenty of space. The owners tried to keep the 1939 theme. Beautiful hardwood floors with gorgeous area rugs. The master bedroom has a large sitting area with a king bed that is very comfortable. The grounds are very well kept. Lots of privacy . Enjoyed drinking tea in the early morning in the dining room, watching all the different birds(please bring birdseed!) The flower garden in the back is beautiful. Joe was always in contact with us if we needed to ask him anything. If you have young children, this house has plenty of toys and games for them. Plenty of hiking trails near. Spent all afternoons in the beautiful mountains. Thank you Joe and Christine for a wonderful stay. Know where to come back next time we visit Maine. Debbie and David Zanzalari

Perfect Setting

This was what we were looking for - a quiet place after the wedding festivities. One suggestion - please leave your guests blankets. It was very cold, I had to sleep in my bathrobe and slippers to stay warm both nights. There was only a sheet and coverlet on the bed. Checked the closet for blankets - only one balled up - didn't dare use due to covid. Otherwise - it was a very comfortable stay.

Amazing Property

We come up to the North Conway area every year with our children. Last year we tubed the Saco and ended up at Westons Beach and fell in love with the area. We decided to search Fryeburg for our following year vacation and I'm so happy we did. This house is perfect for a family with children. My kids loved all the toys, the ping pong table and all the movies and books that were available for them. This house is 10 minutes to North Conway and walking distance to the beach, farm stand and great food. We will definitely be back next year!

My wife is originally from Fryeburg and we still have family and friends there. She remembers this house as a young girl and always admired it. Now we own it and hope to share it with you!

Why they chose this property

We love the privacy and park-like setting of the property, plus its proximity to Fryeburg, North Conway, the White Mountains, the Saco River, and the Mt. Washington Valley. You're only a short drive to Outlet Shopping, Storyland, Franconia, and Portland. You can make the easy 600 feet climb to the top of Jockey Cap, just a 5 minute drive, for a 360 degree view of the Fryeburg area. Jockey Cap is a must!

What makes this property unique

Great space for the family. Great craftsman details throughout the house. Views of the yard and farmland and mountains are very tranquil. Early morning or early evening you might see deer grazing in the fields or chipmunks around the yard. See how many different bird calls you can make out. Walk to town or drive just 10-15 minutes to North Conway for outlet shopping. It's just a great location!
