Historic Newport house in heart of town

The house is a wonderful, historic house in a great location. Unfortunately the house was filthy when we moved in. We found a hair in the bedding and all the dishes were dusty and dirty. The grill was filthy . It was clear the house is rented frequently and not taken care of. We are now being charged for something we did not do - so beware and take photos of everything if you rent the house when you move in.

Newport house

Great historic house. Plenty of beds to accomodate our family. Awesome neighborhood -- plenty to do and see -- very walkable. Responsive owners. Would stay there again.

Cosy House, in the oldest part of Newport

Lauren De Gregory’s House at 36 Thames Street is part of the oldest historic and charming area of Newport. Streets are tight and narrow with small green parks and cosy squares... at the back of the house we often spend evenings in the beautiful garden with large trees that shaded for the sun. Kitchen and living areas are in close proximity to the garden and terrace. We were 8 people staying in the house and there was no logistical issues , as the three bathrooms were distributed on each floor . A cosy kitchen , dining room and living room furnished in a coherent historic style made it a space we all enjoyed. Our host was very helpful to our questions and sorted out issues swiftly . We can certainly recommend the house for future guests . Kind regards Morten Schmidt
