GUEST HOUSE 1.5 miles to OU CAMPUS

Spacious casita that sleeps 2-4 opens up to a beautiful pool (opened year round but not heated), spa and courtyard area (shared with homeowner.) This paradise retreat tucked away in the beautiful addition of Smoking Oak will make you forget you are in Norman until you discover it's proximity to campus (1.5 miles) Discounted weekly rates apply. Parking spot available. His and her bicycles available for guest use. The casita has one bedroom, one full bathroom, large living room area, kitchenette with microwave, 4 burner stove top, toaster oven, full size fridge, and Keurig coffee maker. Includes pots, pans, blender, and dining essentials. The living room has a Queen sofa Sleeper and is equipped with a large 62" HD TV with full COX cable service, Blu-ray player, and an X-Box original.

If it's an OU game day, we are most likely hosting a before/after gathering out back, come join us! If it's summertime, we will most likely be in the pool. Occasionally neighborhood friends/kids come to swim. This is our home but we are happy to share pool and patio areas with our guests. (2-4 guests max) We do have 2 friendly family dogs, that we let out back. They are usually outside in the backyard when we are home. If we are not home the dogs are inside.

Can assist with what to do, where to eat, where to drink, and how to get around.

We have a very friendly family dog named Piper that will likely greet you if she's in the backyard. She's only out when we are home.

SPRING & FALL are WINDY in OK. This allows leaves to collect quickly in the pool during these seasons. We are prideful of our property and its appearance, but we both work full time and will skim leaves after work in the evenings. This is not a resort and we do not have a pool boy skimming leaves every hour :)

(NO PARTIES OR EVENTS. NO SMOKING anywhere on premise. This is still our home in a quiet neighborhood. Please ask if you are wanting to invite additional family or friends over.)

Cute & friendly

We stayed a couple nights while in town for a volleyball camp. We really enjoyed our time at the cute guest house. Loved the hosts, the hospitality and of course Piper and Keeley.

Annual OU Football trip

Me and a few others travel from out of state at least on time a year to watch an OU football game and tailgate at Lloyd Nobel. I always try to get a place close to where we park the bus to tailgate. This place is perfect, and the host are amazing folks. The place is very clean and the OU atmosphere is awesome. This place is perfect for a quick trip to Norman. Highly recommended it. Special thanks to Shannon and Katie for letting us stay at their beautiful guest house.

College World Series

This was the perfect place to stay while we visited Oklahoma for the Women’s College World Series. Our daughter also played in a softball tournament during our stay. The host family was extremely friendly and helpful. The house was very clean and met our needs. The pool and the dogs were a huge bonus!

Perfect getaway!

We were in town to see family. The cabana was in the perfect location for us. The Cabana was clean and had everything we needed! My kids loved the backyard and getting to play with the kids too. We will definitely book here again for our next visit!

Great retreat

We loved the pool and jacuzzi. The guest house was great also. Very clean and comfortable. The shower was nice and so was the furniture. The owners were very communicative and super nice. We enjoyed talking with them. If we are back in the area we would stay there again for sure.

What a great place! The backyard is such an oasis and the casita has everything I needed and more. The owners have every detail covered all the down to the adorable pumpkins at the entry of the casita. I’d love to come back!

Beautiful Cabana

This property was beautiful and felt like a very safe place for our young adult children to stay without out. The pool and hot tub were prefect as the pictures. The house was well stocked with essential things you don't even think about till you need it, like aluminum foil, salt, and other little things. Hosts were great, and the family dog was the sweetest.

Perfect spot to stay while visiting our son at OU, only 1 mile from the house he's renting and campus. Hosts Shannon and Katie were great and have the casita set up very nice, weather didn't allow for use of the pool or hot tub this time, but were able to use the dart board and patio/deck areas to relax and visit with our son and his girlfriend. Nice, quiet neighborhood setting, literally minutes from everything in Norman and OKC.

The Perfect Cabana!

The Cabana is the perfect place to stay. The backyard 'resort' is beautiful and love the homage to the University of Oklahoma on the inside. The best part was having the opportunity to meet the sweetest little family that owns the property. Thank you Shannon and Kate for being so awesome! Already have it booked for our next trip. Yay!

Great Spot in Norman and comfortable

Would definitely recommend…Host gave us privacy but when we communicated they were always quick to respond…Enjoyed relaxing and got to use the hot tub all the nights we were there. It was Clean and up to date and kitchen was functional for our needs. We will go back in the future.

Perfect little cabana

My daughter and I stayed here when she was at the OU girls Bball camp. It was the perfect size for the two of us. Quiet, safe neighborhood, close to campus, close to great food options. Hosts were nice and had great communication. Their dog came to say hello. :) Hotel pricing was similar and it was so nice to have our own space.

Delightful Experience

The online photos of the casita and the backyard setting capture your attention but the reality is even better. The neighborhood is beautiful and conveniently located. The host family is gracious. We were travelling with our dog. He had a fun time playing with the resident dog and the hosts were accomodating about making her available for playtime. We would definitely book again.

The private guest house was great

We loved our stay in Norman. This home is close enough to bike to campus, and it's proximity allowed us to easily tour the campus with frequent stops to enter familiar buildings such as the magnificent library and administration building. When it came time for a meal, we enjoyed looking theough the menus of favorite locations provided by the homeowners. Our favorite time, however was sitting in the beautiful backyard oasis at the end of the day. This home is a wonderful alternative when planning a stay in Norman.
