Come enjoy "Dogwood Haven", a beautiful 1906 sq. ft. furnished log cabin located in a wooded setting in Hidden Mountain West. Conveniently located close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, "Dogwood Haven" features 3 large bedrooms with king sized beds (1 on main level and 2 upstairs), sofa bed in great room on main level, 3 full baths (1 on main level and 2 upstairs), Jacuzzi tub in master bedroom, and large loft with bunk beds, pool table, and sofa. Also, there is a fully equipped kitchen with new stainless appliances including stove, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator with ice-maker, pots and pans, dishware, glasses, etc., separate dining area with large table, 4 flat screen TVs with DVD, Dish TV and Wi-fi, stacked stone gas fireplace in vaulted great room, rear screened porch with hot tub (installed January, 2016) and outdoor dining table, open side porch, covered front porch with rockers and swing, and in-ground outdoor charcoal grill. All linens and towels are provided along with hair dryer, iron, ironing board, and a washer and dryer, which make it easy and convenient for you. Pets are not allowed, and smoking is not allowed inside cabin. "Dogwood Haven" comfortably accommodates up to 8 adults and 2 children and whether it is a family or couples sharing the cabin, there is plenty of space and privacy. "Dogwood Haven" is in a serene mountain setting with an easy walk to the community lake and provides you with all the modern conveniences of home, while maintaining the rustic decor and get-away you are looking for. There is easy access to the cabin from Highway 411 - Chapman Hwy. or via the Pigeon Forge Parkway. It is located just 5 miles from the parkway giving easy access to Sevierville, Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg, where you’ll find all the activities & attractions, including Dollywood, restaurants, outlet mall shopping etc. When you're not taking advantage of all the activities in the area just sit back and relax on the large front porch or back screened porch. Enjoy the fresh mountain air, singing birds, and all kinds of wildlife around you.

My husband and I live in Chattanooga, TN and have always enjoyed visiting the Great Smoky Mountains. My husband and I both attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and I grew up in the Knoxville, TN area. We both spent a lot of time in the Great Smoky Mountains/Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area (me as a child and both of us while at UTK). We both enjoy the Smoky Mountains and love the beauty of the area. We have been married for 43 years and have three grown sons, two daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren.
Why they chose this property
We chose Dogwood Haven (formerly Ava's Place) because we liked the proximity to the national park and area attractions and the ability to access the property via less traveled and/or backroads thereby avoiding many of the high traffic and frequently congested areas. We like the privacy, wooded setting and nearby community lake along with the variety of cabins instead of all of them looking cookie cutter. We also like the spaciousness loft, the interior of the cabin along with the king sized beds and the screened porch and front porch are great places to relax and forget your troubles. We now own two other cabins (Stars On The Water - VRBO 1916605 and You Are My Moonshine - VRBO 1184168) close by and having three cabins so close together makes it easier to provide services to the properties. My husband and I both attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and I grew up in the Knoxville, TN area. We both enjoy the Smoky Mountains and love the beauty of the area.
What makes this property unique
One of our favorite things about '"Dogwood Haven" is the diversity it offers with the peaceful wooded setting and opportunities for shopping and other activities close by. Time spent on the porch swing, walks to the lake, etc. help one forget the stresses of home and work and find the joy and calmness a getaway to the mountains can bring.
