About this property

Romantic Nordic Log Cabin near Poulsbo and Bainbridge

Enjoy a getaway to an 820sf log cabin with vintage-inspired touches such as push-button light switches, furniture and artwork. Relax with a beverage on the back deck or in the landscaped front yard.

Cabin has WiFi but no TV; no smoking in or outside premises.

Suquamish is a ferry ride away from Seattle; and this property is best suited if you have a vehicle.

The log cabin, built in 1980, has a living/dining room with a lofty ceiling, which adds volume to the interior space. Enjoy the morning sun on the back deck with peekaboo views of the Puget Sound where you may see eagles and cruise ships. The front of the cabin is enveloped in sunshine -- hang out in the small garden and greet the passerby neighbors who may be collecting their mail.

Note that fireworks are legal in Suquamish and the times around 4th of July and New Year’s Eve will most certainly be celebratory! I do provide earplugs.

The full kitchen has a four-burner stove, oven, sink, microwave and fridge.

Bedroom #1 has a queen bed and a narrow dresser. Top down, bottom up shades have been installed for your privacy.

Bedroom #2 has two twin beds and a vintage metal dresser. Top down, bottom up shades are there for your privacy.

The cabin has WiFi and a bluetooth speaker, but no TV.

Washer, dryer and detergent included.
Fire logs are provided October - April, one log per night; max 6 logs.

Lovely and well appointed

The cottage has been beautifully updated and is quite well appointed. Lizabeth has done a wonderful job of making it feel very private. Neighborhood is quiet and was exactly what we wanted in order to be able to both relax and get a little bit of work done.

The final days

We spent the last 2 days of our 6 day trip at the cabin in Suquamish. It was AMAZING. The location was perfect by both water and hiking in the mountains. We did everything from enjoying food and drinks by the water to spending the last day hiking and taking pictures in waterfalls. Lizabeth's cabin was perfectly clean and set up. She had literally everything a group traveling could ever need!!

Lovely little cabin

The cabin was cute and quaint. Even a little view of the water! Owner was helpful and check in was easy! The cabin was well stocked with very nice linens and comfortable beds! Kids and we had a great time! This city is off the beaten path, more relaxed and less traffic than Bainbridge Island. We loved touring Broedel Reserve and watching the fisherman catch crabs off the pier! Enjoyed our stay and appreciated having the sweet cabin as our home base!

Suquamish Cabin stay

We stayed for nearly two weeks at the cabin. It is clean and comfortable with lots of fun touches, and it is thoughtfully equipped with everything one needs for cooking. Plus there are great outdoor spaces. We loved sitting out on the back deck for breakfast, and relaxing in the beautiful front garden in the afternoons. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, and nice to walk around in. And importantly, Lizbeth is an excellent host—she was always reachable and very responsive to our needs and requests, which was much appreciated. We’ll no doubt be back again.

Great location, cozy and fun space, peaceful surroundings!

Suquamish is quiet, with beautiful walking around the neighborhoods and down to Sully's, where the food is varied and tasty, then on to the peaceful waterfront. It's an easy drive to Bainbridge, hiking, and small charming towns. The cabin is spacious and super clean, with everything you need. Huge windows let in the light, over a big deck. The new renovation was done with love and imagination, with decor evoking many times and places. Made us smile. The host provided thorough information and responded quickly to texts. The place invites people to enjoy each other's company and take in the beauty.

Cozy and quiet

This is a perfect experience if you are trying to get out of the busy city life but still want to be close enough to Seattle. The location is great, the drive to the Ferry is really short. The home itself is cute. We got there after dark but when we did there was a nice little card to greet us with some of Lizebeth's bay leave from her garden. The home had anything we could have needed. The beds we're comfortable and clean. The whole cabin was comfortable and clean. There are even great suggestion for local tourist activities. :) We enjoyed our stay and will be returning.

Living in the PNW for 12 years. I'm an avid gardener and volunteer/board member with a Norwegian organization in Poulsbo. These two hobbies take up much of my spare time, and it's quite fulfilling work.

Why they chose this property

A log cabin in a somewhat urban setting -- how cool is that! The cabin has a Nordic-influenced theme, since my parents immigrated from Norway. I couldn't resist sharing my heritage.
