The home was located in a convenient location to Banner Elk and Beech Mountain. The beds were comfortable and the house had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay.
The house was perfect for a small family while visiting the mountains to see snow! The antique wooden furniture brings tons of charm to the house! Owner was very easy to reach when we were having trouble finding the house due to the wrong house number being listed. (Owner has tried to get Vrbo to correct but they haven’t.)
Comfortable beds and couch, great location close to restaurants and skiing/snow tubing. Loved the fresh baked bread that was there when we arrived. Cute stream for fishing at the bottom of the driveway. We’ll be back thanks for a great weekend!
The only downside was our stay was planning too short of a trip. We will definitely book this property again, but for a longer stay next time. It was a perfect location to town, and everything we had planned. The house itself was perfect, and the property was beautiful, with an amazing view from the front porch.
We originally booked our trip for September 27-29 Patricia was very helpful with suggestions for things we could check out in the area. We ended up having to reschedule due to the hurricane coming through, she was right on top of calling us to tell us it wasn’t safe we shouldn’t try to go and helping us reschedule our stay. throughout the whole process she’s been responsive and wonderful! Would absolutely book with her again.
Comfy and great location. Out of all the place I stayed the couch here was the best. Also lots of extra things you may or may not need. Even had dried fire wood to burn by the fire pit. The beds were good too. The homemade bread was yummy. Being close to town but feeling of secluded was peaceful and got to see deer each day was neat.
This house worked great for our weekend trip for 4. Very close to downtown Banner Elk, # of beds and baths worked well, and very quiet! Thank you for the yummy bread and apple butter!
The listing was exactly as described in the pictures. Everything we needed was provided including a wonderful loaf of home baked bread. We can’t wait to stay here again!
Phenomenal place. Just far enough away from everything to feel secluded but close enough that is not a hassle to get into town. The owner is a very nice woman that bakes homemade bread for her guests and makes you feel very welcomed. All and all, a wonderful experience.
This home is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the "world". It offers everythig that you would need, kitchen amenities, huge tv, TVs in every room, very comfortable bed even a lift chair that came in handy after my recent hip surgery. The best thing about this home is the God given beauty that surrounds you while you are able to relax and just enjoy the stream below the house, sitting in the front deck and watching the snow fall, listening to the birds, deer it was so relaxing and beautiful.
The hosts FAR exceeded our expectations - we were welcomed with a fresh made loaf of bread and apple butter that were delicious and we couldn't have asked for the communication of the hosts to be any better or asked for them to be any nicer.
We look forward to staying again soon.
Home was very clean and roomy! Perfect for what we needed. There was homemade bread and apple butter when we got there from the host it was delicious! We seen six deer outside the house it was beautiful! Snowed right before we left so we got to enjoy it for a few hours! We did snow tubing, gem mining, waterfalls while hiking, and a great campfire. Would stay here again!
This home was perfect for us! We were in town to visit family so did not spend a lot of time on the property but it was a great location for us, lots of space and as others have noted - amazing homemade bread and apple butter! Was such a nice treat after a long drive!
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL setting, especially in October! We were comfortable throughout our stay, had plenty of indoor and outdoor space and activities, and close enough to get to several nearby attractions. Also in our downtime, really enjoyed trout fishing just a short walk from the house!
