Peaceful and Pleasant
I spent Monday through Friday here for my spring break. It was a lovely change of pace from all of the noise in the city and campus. I did have a fair bit of homework to do, so I spent much of my stay here inside. I took frequent breaks to become mesmerized by the bubbling of the Peggy Run and enchanted by the abundance of wildlife. I will forever cherish the moment a pair of mallards took flight to the other side of the river after a harmonized decrescendo directed toward the sparkling reflection of the sun. I shopped for a few things on Main Street and drove around 30 minutes north and south of Narrowsburg, just exploring. There is a nearby NPS passport stamp location for National Park patrons that like to collect stamps. Iris and Mary were lovely hosts. Their property is thoughtfully curated and so homey. The bed was so comfy. Waking up every morning in that bed to the spectacle of the sparkling Upper Delaware was just divine. I wish I could have stayed longer.
