Wonderful but not suitable in hotter months

This unit does not have ac. It was not advertised in the listing correctly and the owner has since updated it. It was too hot for my one year old to sleep. The house is beautiful but being on the second floor also wasn’t great for my mobile child wanting to go for the stairs. Highly recommend as long as the weather is going to be nice. The host was very pleasant and they have a cute dog in the main house.

Just Right in Rockport

Perfect little carriage house apartment on a quiet, residential side street in Rockport. The place was immaculately clean, well equipped, and private. 10 minute walk to the Rockport Marine Park and the center of Rockport. Maude is the ideal host, friendly and a good communicator but not at all obtrusive. We had a great stay and definitely will be back.

Awesome Place to stay with kids or no kids.

This is a very well appointed apartment over the three car garage that is separate from the main home. Two good size bedrooms with comfortable beds, good size bathroom, and large open floor plan living room, dinning room, and kitchen with everything we needed. This was perfect for two adults with a 6 & 4 year old. There is also a nice patio deck with gas grill and patio furniture. We used this location as a home base and did day trips every day north and south along the eastern coast which worked out great. Maud and her family are great people very helpful and friendly. The town of Rockport is beautiful and close to other towns of interest. I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you Maud! Jeff

Another great stay!

We've enjoyed all of our stays here immensely and this one (our 3rd) was no exception. It feels like home away from home and the area has so much to offer that we haven't come close to seeing it all. Guess we'll just have to come back! :)

Amazing place!

We recently stayed 4 nights and had a lovely time! The apartment was perfect for my little family - 2 adults and a small child. The apartment has everything you need and allows for space to relax etc. Having a washer/dryer was handy! We LOVED the location! In a beautiful neighborhood close to the playground/waterfront park, and a quick drive to Camden and many other sights. We loved it!!

Welcoming Rockport Retreat

The guest house is a bright, well-appointed, and welcoming spot to enjoy Rockport and nearby area. The guest house is ideally situated to enjoy the beautiful harbor (easy walk), parks, and Main Street restaurants. The little deck out back is the perfect spot for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening! The guest house is in a quiet neighborhood but centrally located to area “attractions.” Maud was eager to provide recommendations or activity suggestions. Just a great place to enjoy all the beauty Maine has to offer! Highly recommend!

Perfect spot!

This is the perfect little spot to call home while you enjoy the beauty of Maine's coast. From Owl's Head to Bar Harbor or just spend the days in Rockport and Camden. The apartment is full of natural daylight and so clean. Our family of 4, 2 adults and 2 teens, had plenty of space to chill and stash our stuff. Maud is super friendly and helpful, gave us a few sightseeing tips and was willing to offer anything that we might need. The location is great if you want to stay local and walk to breakfast and to the nearby parks. Also a great central spot for day trips up the coast.

Home away from home in charming Rockport

This was our second consecutive year staying at the Lupine Guest House, and we're already talking about our next one. The neighborhood and grounds are beautiful, and the owners have taken great care to ensure the apartment is comfortable and well-appointed. It's the perfect size for our family of 3 to stretch out, with plenty of space for our young daughter to have puzzles and games out without them being underfoot. Rockport has what must be the most picturesque harborfront main street in America (enjoy the view from Seafolk Coffee!), and it's also an ideal launching pad for excursions to other fabulous towns along the coast. We just love the area and look forward to our next visit. Thanks, Maud and family!

Clean and quiet space in Rockport

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rockport and visiting the neighboring towns of Camden and Rockland. The space was perfect for me and my husband, loved walking around the neighborhood and visiting some outstanding restaurants. And the host family is terrific!

Absolutely perfect!

Maud's place is one of the best rentals I have stayed in! It is spacious, comfortable, clean and so inviting. My only regret is not being able to stay longer. We certainly hope to be able to return for a longer visit. Maud herself is really helpful, so responsive and really knows the area. I would highly recommend staying here!

I moved to Maine from the south in 2003 and haven't been able to leave New England since. The seasons are beautiful, each offering their own fun activities. In the summer and fall, the air is magical. The winter never allows enough time to sled and ski. I love living in small town Maine. Everyday, I am thankful I am able to live here.

Why they chose this property

Rockport Village is a lovely place to call home. We are so close to town, but tucked away for privacy.

What makes this property unique

The bright, open feel of the home really makes it relaxing.
