House was awesome. We loved the large space, the fire pit and the large outdoor patios. Home was clean and fully stocked with everything you could think of from indoor and outdoor games for all ages. We would definitely stay there again.
We really enjoy the set up of this property. Perfect location on the lake and a good layout of the house for a bigger group. It does need a good deep cleaning (think windows and baseboards) but the basics were clean (sheets and floors). We will return again!
Fantastic property we thoroughly enjoyed our week. After we got thru the dirt road (phew) the bathroom drains need to be better but everything else was fine.
We all loved this house! It has a great kitchen, and the yard is amazing with lots of parking. The dock is very nice and the yard has a beautiful view of the lake on all of the front and one side of the house. It was very well stocked and comfortable.
The downfalls were minor, such as it being an older property, but well-maintained, so we would definitely visit again. The other negative is that it was hard to get the refundable deposit back. The owner did get it processed with it posting back to my account 3 weeks after our check out. Seems like a long time when the property was left in great condition.
All in all it was a property that we would book again. Many great memories were made here and we appreciate the opportunity to stay.
We really enjoyed our stay at Lake Sinclair! The house was great and the property beautiful. The roads getting there were a blast, but unexpected….hahaha! Oh and take the owners words to heart! Pack food before you get there as grocery stores are 45 mins away. But such a great place to relax, unwind and spend time with family! Highly recommend!
This was the 2nd time we have stayed here. It’s a beautiful place. Flat front yard that goes right up to lake. Walk ways are concrete which is wonderful for people in wheelchairs. The only set back is that there is not a ramp for handicapped people. Other than that, it’s a great place to go for a family get away. We love it.
Each year, all our family votes to stay at your house in June. They love the location, the house and dock. I love the big kitchen and dining options which accommodate all of us.
Each year we see improvements to the house. We will continue to stay at your house as long as we can. In years to come, they will say,
"Remember when......, it was so much fun!!"
We had a great time staying at this lakefront property! There was ample sleeping space and the view and outside area was phenomenal. We had so much fun playing corn hole and sitting by the fire pit and fishing. There were plenty of dishes, silverware and kitchenware for our big party. We needed a few supplies that were missing and the owner was so prompt and kind and got us what we needed. One major inconvenience was the trash situation. There was no outside area to put the trash to hold for disposal and the place we were told to take the trash to for disposal was very far away and inconvenient to bring the trash to on the day of our departure. Putting trash in your car upon departure is not ideal or convenient with all our belongings. The cleaning fee was higher and should accommodate trash bag removal. Overall, a pleasant stay.
3 families of 6 adults and 7 kids! We absolutely LOVED this lake house. We had so much space. The pictures really do not do this place justice! The property is stunning. I love the big open grass area for our kids to run around and plenty of shore line to fish. The kitchen was HUGE and loved having the space with so many people. Our favorite vacation we have taken with our group of 3 family friends. I have a feeling this won’t be our last trip here!
We were 6 adults and six kids ages from 6 mos to 16. All enjoyed. Lake was great, room to kayak and fish. Wi-Fi for game breaks and great kitchen to accommodate all. Only downside was remote location and taking trash to dump.
This lake house has everything! It's in a beautiful area to go boating, jet skiing, paddle boarding, etc... Our family did all of those things and had the best time! Great yard for console games and fire pit nights! We absolutely enjoyed ourselves and are so thankful to have stayed here.

The Lake House
This is my family's favorite vacation house - on the lake or in the mountains. We have stayed in your house several times now and the vote is always the same......return to your house! Many good memories have been made at The Lake House. ⚓
Our group had a great time here. We loved tubing on the lake and swimming off the dock. The large porches hosted great card games and bonding time. The house easily fit our group and Lauren was amazing to work with. Thanks for a great stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at this lake house. It was our first time getting together with family for Christmas in over 10 years and we couldn't have chosen a better place. We played games out on the lawn, built fires in the pit, brought our own kayaks and all of the young adults got to experience kayaking for the first time. Such great memories were made. The kitchen has all of the items you could possibly need to cook for a crown including slow cookers, hand mixers, and tons of pots and pans, dishes, and silverware. The bedrooms are clean and a nice size, especially the master. The common area is a bit small, but this is a house you go to in order to enjoy the beautiful outdoors! Our only complaint about the house is that it is definitely time to replace the mattresses. Otherwise, the house is in great condition and comfortable for a group.
Had a great time this weekend - lots of room for all of us to spread out! Great space both indoor and outdoor!
Only issue was coffee was left in the coffee filter and it was moldy.

Great View! Plenty of room
We had 6 adults and 4 kids.. kitchen fully stocked so don't pack your kitchen like I did!
Great lake view and quiet area. Good fishing from dock & bank. Like ad says.. off dirt road but not a big deal.
I loved this house. It is 100% the best house on the lake in the area. There is plenty of room inside and outside. I wish the pictures on the listing were updated to show how much better the house is than what it looks! The island in the kitchen is huge and is a great focal point!
This is a great house for a big family. We had 15 people. There was plenty of room to sleep, cook, eat, and play. The yard is huge and there is tons of seating to hang outside. Although there isn't a shore, the water is shallow at the steps, so little ones can play.
Everything was there to support a relaxing experience

About the host

Hank and Ginny were raised in the same town in south Florida, but did not meet until moving to a small a rural town in Georgia during their high school years. They have two daughters who both attended school at Georgia Southern University. Hank is an airline pilot for Delta and is the manager of the local airport in their hometown. Ginny managed rental property near the Georgia Southern Campus for over twenty years and was a stay at home mom. Hank and Ginny Maierhoffer purchased the home is 2005 with the plan to renovate and sell. However, plans changed when they fell in love with the home. Since then, they have opened it up to family friends and church groups. Now, we have hosted military reunions, family reunions and more!
Why they chose this property
We love our home for view and secluded nature of the home. We have the privacy in a quiet neighborhood with the view of the lake!
What makes this property unique
Our home has all of the amenities for a wilderness retreat with out the camping bag! Our view is outstanding and gives a view of the lake from almost every window. The large grassy area is perfect for corn hole competitions or family football games.
The deepwater access provides opportunities for boating, floating and fishing!
