Excellent location

3 Dodds place has excellent views and is within walking distance of a wonderful quiet beach. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get a nice quiet getaway to PEI.

Lovely location. Upstairs bath is just a powder room, but good enough. Kitchen is big .

Good place for a family. Not great for really little ones, since the railing on the upper level seems low.

Quite Retreat

Lovely views from the back deck. Access to the sandy beach was difficult depending on the tide. Needed to drive down to beach where parking was limited. No dishwasher as advertised.

Great location!

A great cottage with wonderful beach access. Fairly well equipped with sufficient space as a family. Our 2-year-old daughter really enjoyed her time here and started to refer the place as "her cottage" by the end of the trip. Thankfully, the weather was great -- spotty internet and satellite TV -- so no urgency for indoor activities.

Enchanting

This was the perfect location for our exploration of Prince Edward Island. My mother, my sister, my daughter, and I were enchanted by the breathtaking views of French River from our back deck. We were there to see the Anne sights, and this lovely cottage was very centralized so everything was within about a 20 minute drive but still far away that we were away from the bustle of the more touristy zones. We absolutely loved it. The home itself was well stocked in the kitchen, laundry room and bathroom. And the owner was very responsive and helpful, and the restaurant recommendations she gave were wonderful. We would absolutely stay here again.

Quiet Location, Really Nice Week on PEI

We loved the peace and quiet along with the views over the French River and New London Bay. It is down a narrow lane, but we loved being away from the busy Cavendish area. We watched eagles, cormorants, great blue heron, ducks, and many other birds from the property. It was also fun to watch the fishing boats and other boats pass by. Though it is in a quiet location the Anne sites are only a short, easy drive away as are many of the North Shore beaches. The waterfront along the property is not well-suited for swimming, but it is great for evening strolls with the kids looking for snails, crabs, and other creatures plus you get the river and bay views. A nice sand beach and the New London Lighthouse are only a 20 minute walk away either by road or along the waterfront at low tide. Everything worked well at the property and it was nice and clean. The kitchen (well equipped), living area, downstairs bathroom, and one bedroom are nice and large. The upstairs bathroom is tiny (fine for us) and two of the bedrooms are on the smallish side, but are still nice. The property management company communicated well with us. We didn't ask them to do anything for us, but we pointed out a few items that would benefit future guests. Our impression was that they were appreciative and would make those small improvements. We had a wonderful week on beautiful PEI and were blessed with great weather and a nice base for our family vacation. We'd love to return sometime in the future.

Lovely experience

The cottage was well equipped, tidy and suited our 4 adult group very well. The location is superb if you are looking for a beautiful setting in a quiet location. Our 5 night stay couldn't have been more enjoyable.

Great place to stay

We loved the access to the water and beautiful beach. We also loved being in the country. Close enough to stores. It says it sleeps 6, but difficult for us as we have 2 teenagers that are 6’2. Beds are small, we bought an air mattress to accommodate the 5 of us.

Hidden gem

Lovely clean and well kept cottage . Loads of kitchen supplies. Beautiful views, but the hidden gem is the beach. You can go to the public marked beach, or you can go where the locals go. Approximately 500 yards from the entrance of our road , you can turn left at a field that is marked ( private, use at own risk) . Go to the end of the road, your sand bar beach awaits. ( your welcome)

Picturesque and cosy

What a lovely spot. The house is comfortable and has everything you may need. The walk to the lighthouse and the beach is beautiful and only takes 20 minutes and so many Lupins everywhere! The spot is conveniently located just a short drive from stores, restaurants and historic sites. Loved our stay and live PEI. We will be back for sure!
