Location, Location, Location

Picked SanaView for the value and proximity to Hidden Valley and Seven Springs. Family and the kid’s friends/partners loved the old farm house character. Very similar to family lake cottage and shore house…not fancy, just well loved, cozy, and a place to play and have fun together.

Historic farmhouse with great access to Seven Springs

Historic farmhouse with great character. Plenty of sleeping room and great access to Seven Springs. Very cute barn next door with great pizza and tremendous service was an unexpected benefit. Property manager/owner was available for all questions and a great assistance.

Very quaint place to stay. Wi-Fi was a little spotty so had a hard time accessing my messages from the owner/manager but other than that our stay was great

Summer 2021 July Stay

Property was beautiful. Check in was easy and host available for questions. I would recommend and stay again. I did have issue with the ceiling lights in the Kitchen and Living room. Rooms did have other lighting but could not get the ceiling lights to work.

Great farmhouse for ski weekend

We have stayed here a few times now. It is an old farmhouse with a funky layout, but my kids live having an upstairs section for themselves and also having plenty of rooms and beds to arrange how they want. I really enjoy having a full kitchen with a large dining table and enough seating in the living room for people to spread out. Although it’s not the most updated place to stay, it’s close to both Seven Springs and Hidden Valley, it has plenty of sleeping spaces, and the baseboard heaters keep it nice and toasty while we are sleeping.

Great ski rental alternative

If you want to avoid the high prices at the ski mountains, this is the place for you. Very nice house with everything you need for all your meals, plenty of beds. We don't have kids, but I imagine a group of them would love the loft. Very comfortable master bedroom. Very helpful hosts. And an easy drive to 7 Springs.

Fam getaway

We had a great time at Janet’s farm. Beautiful fall colors, a wonderful swim in the pond, biking with kids through the fields and a bonfire for evening activities. Really close to nice trails as well!

Not great for families with small children

We were so excited to book this property during our first trip to Idlewild with our almost 2 & 4 year old this past weekend. That excitement rolled to a stop when we looked at the sleeping arrangements. The main bedroom is separate from the other sleeping areas. In the other wing, there are two bedrooms and a landing with beds. The stairs are extremely steep. So steep that we knew our almost 4 year old wouldn't be able to walk down them on her own. There was no way to section them off at the top of the landing either. The worst part was when you get on the landing area. There is an area of the floor that doesn't meet up to the railing. The railing is essentially 6-9 inches too far in creating a gap in the floor. If one of our kids were to walk in that area, they would have fallen through immediately and fallen 7-8 feet down. You can imagine what that would have led to. We were terribly disappointed with this safety hazard. We were looking forward to our accommodations, but the concerns we had with the house left us on edge anytime we were there. Due to this, we had to sleep in the beds with our kids to ensure they wouldn't walk out of bed in the middle of the night and break their neck on the stairs. The owner was very helpful with information before got there. I just wish she had told us that this property is not accommodating for families with small children.

The property was welcoming and cozy

The property was very welcoming and cozy. The house has spacious rooms and room for everybody. The big dining room table had room for 8 people and the furniture was nice.

Nice house, great location

Super cute house, great location. Nice size master, 2 additional bedrooms with twin beds and 2 additional twin beds on the landing. One bathroom but worked fine with 7 adults. Nice wrap around porch. Limited pots and pans(not enough to feed 7 adults.) limited seating in the living room (couch and one chair). Didn't have satellite/cable (only got one channel) BUT there is Netflix! Grocery store is less than 2 miles and 7Springs was an easy 6 or so mile drive. We would definitely stay here again!

Family Ski Vacation

The farm house was a great place for our annual family ski trip. we skied at 7 Springs and were no more than 10 minutes away. Very convenient. We had plenty of room and Janet checked in on us via test to make sure we had everything we needed. Very kind. Plenty of space for us. Only minor drawback was that the living room only had a couch and one chair. A couple more places to sit would be nice. Other than that, we enjoyed our time there and had another safe and successful family ski trip. Hope to visit again next year with more of our family.

Charming Farm House

My husband and I with our three adult kids had the pleasure of staying at the Sanaview Farm House. The farm house is very charming, nestled by a barn, greenhouses and short walking distance to a swimming pond. We were able to buy delicious organic tomatoes, greens and patty pan squash from Janet that was grown on Sanaview.

Beautiful farm, wonderful stay!

Our stay at the farmhouse was great and just what we were expecting. Janet was very responsive via text and Kevin the farm manager was able to assist us with everything we needed during our stay. The farm is beautiful! We explored, walked to the pond to fish, caught fireflies and used the fire pit to make smores and take in the night sky. I also enjoyed breakfast each morning on the back porch while watching hummingbirds in the garden. We would stay here again and recommend the farmhouse at Sanaview farms.

Nice property, good location, furniture could be improved

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at the historic farmhouse. The location was very quiet but also very convenient to the turnpike and local attractions. Good communication with the owner. Private master bedroom away from other bedrooms was nice, as were kitchen and dining room areas. Large family room area could use more seating, and mattresses could have been more comfortable. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Private Location with NO privacy. We also were told AFTER we left that we had too many people.

The farm is beautiful. My sisters and I wanted somewhere to take our children where they could run free in nature for a couple of days and all be together. Sort of camping without the tent. So we were expecting to sort of "rough it." We weren't expecting a 4 star hotel. Janet was nice enough to allow us to check in early. We unloaded our stuff and realized that she was working on the farm that day. Right around us. Then she informed us that other people would be staying at the other little springhouse and bunkhouse which are much closer to the farmhouse than it seemed in the pictures. The farmhouse wasn't the cleanest, but for the most part it was what we expected. The bathtub seemed dirty. We tried scrubbing it, but it was just stained. The kids were grossed out by it and definitely had to shower in flip flops. The upstairs bedrooms with the carpet smell like pee. Keep in mind there is NO microwave. The first day we were there the water stopped working, so the toilet wouldn't flush, etc. So she said she would take care of it. So we went off on an adventure since we couldn't use the facilities. She let us know when everything was working again, and when we came back she was gone. There was someone else at the springhouse which is right next to the farmhouse. A man. He would stand there and stare at us with the door open, or he would stand on the top of his steps. It made us extremely uncomfortable. We had little kids. The next day we decided to walk to the pond. It was so far and difficult to get to for littles. I enjoyed the walk to them pond, but it is a lot further than advertised. You have to go through the farm, through the woods, over the creek and then you arrive at the pond which was pretty murky and also too deep to stand in. But it was a fun adventure! When we got back, for the rest of the day, the guy that stays at the springhouse that "works there" just moped around the grounds looking at us. He would seriously just roam around or sit in his house with the door open. How is it appropriate to have this man basically babysitting a group of women and children? There is also a fire pit which we enjoyed. The wrap around porch is amazing. It is not the house itself that is getting two stars, it is more from the experience. When we were checking out, we made sure that the house was cleaner than when we checked in. And then apparently we got something on a blanket and it wouldn't come out so we were charged $100.

Relaxing country getaway on a scenic organic farm

We had a great family gathering at the farm! Janet was very responsive and helpful. The wrap around porch added a lot of space to hang out in the Spring air. The short trek up the hill to the pond was fun and the fishing was a success. Even though it was close to the highway, it could not be heard from the farm, which added to the peaceful setting. There was a Walmart about 20 minutes away and dollar stores even closer, so we were able to get supplies as needed.
