Great Location

It is a wonderful little cabin at the end of a street so is very secluded. Perfect for a couples getaway.

Unclean/Not as described BUGS, BUGS. BUGS

Check in time was 4pm late by any standard but around 2:30 we were told cabin wouldn’t be ready until 4:30 due to cleaning standards imposed with COVID-19. We arrived at 4:35 to find the cleaning people still working they finished at 4:45. We enter with dishwasher running.. so are we expected to put away the last renters dishes? A/C was set at 78 it was so hot upstairs we had to turn down the temp and leave. Downstairs ceiling fan has one speed, slow. We return around 8:30 and thankfully it’s cooler inside. I go upstairs to unpack and wash my hands when I grab the one hand towel that is provided all these small red ants fall out all over the sink. I check the other towels two bath towels are laying on the bed so I move them to the jetted tub in case they to have ants. For a higher end cabin rental I would think towel quality could be better than one might expect at a cheap hotel, but thinner, scratchier towels may not exist. My husband goes out to the patio to check the hot tub when he lifts the cover hot tub is on and hot. Was it ever turned off by previous renter, was it cleaned? One side does not work. The jetted tub upstairs has black dirt or something coming out of all the jets so that will be a pass too. When we decide to go to bed I pull back the comforter and sheet to find larger ant like bugs crawling around. The blind next to the bed is covered in what looks like roach droppings ( I have pics) . Remember that extended cleaning time for higher standards due to COVID-19???? I think not! I will tell you that when you arrive and the cleaning team is taking the clean sheets and towels out of garbage bags in the back of a pickup truck that also contains many bags of actual trash you shouldn’t be surprised about the bugs. The cabin advertises a gas grill but it is filthy with remnants of previous food and because not cleaned, bugs. There is no brush to clean the grates so no cooking there. Came back into the cabin to find roach crossing the floor downstairs. No cooking or meals will be taking place here, simply to filthy. The king bed is bad and king pillows are so old and used they separate into two sections. The lamp on the bedside table is broken (have pic). We ended up departing a day early as cabin was to disgusting. I did message John he said he would get with the owner but received no response from anyone. This could be a nice cabin but owners obviously don’t stay here or care about the condition.

Overall great stay BUT...

1st I'd like to say this place was very nice and clean. Private hot tub with a small lake view. Had all we needed for a romantic weekend getaway. Shower was amazing with the dual showerhead... bed was comfortable. Would definitely recommend. My only complaint that the owner should look Into is the knob that locks to the back patio. Around 10am my gf and I go out in the patio to enjoy our coffee. We close the door behind us. A hr or so later weather starts to get cool so we opt to go inside only when we tried, the door would not open- it was locked. At this point we begin to panic slightly as we left our phones inside. We only have house shoes on to protect our feet and no way of getting off the patio as the drop was about 15ft on a steep angle to the lake. Jumping was considered but I didnt want to risk it. Our neighbors were all gone and no one around. Had it not been for a Bobby pin my gf had we may have had to break the window or door. We were able to get the door open however it either got jammed or mid locked when we closed it but piece of advise would be to either put an emergency key in the patio or a safety ladder for emergencies. Sounds silly but it was scary and dangerous. For anyone else staying just make sure you go out with your phones if this doesnt get fixed. I would hate for someone to get hurt being out there.

Beautiful Cabin in a perfect location!

My wife and I had a great stay at this beautiful little cabin! We loved that it was so close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but you still feel like your tucked away in the mountains in a little cabin community. The place was very clean and easy to find! I would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area!

Enjoyable.... But...

The property was nice. Unfortunately, when we arrived the cabin had not been cleaned yet. The management company did send someone right away to clean cabin, but after a 9.5 hour drive to the cabin we expected to arrive to a clean cabin. Other than that, our stay and experience as very nice.

Poor communication

Beautiful cabin with privacy and very clean! However, the fireplace did not work and there was no WiFi password given. When management was contacted, it took until the next day to respond and he did not offer a resolution to fixing the fireplace, nor did he ever respond to the requested WiFi that was advertised as being given once we arrived.

Lakeside Romance Cabin

Cabin was exactly as stated. Very private cabin at the end of the road. Cabin is located in the mountains amongst a group of other cabins. Perfect for a relaxing getaway. Road into the area of the cabin is pretty steep and could pose an issue if ice or snow present. Cabin came with everything we needed to utilize the full kitchen. Master bath shower had 2 shower heads. Washer and dryer located in downstairs half bathroom closet. The back patio overlooks wooded area and retention pond... we even saw a Otter. Would definitely stay again. The manager of the property John was nice and provided check in details prior to our arrival.
