Didn't get to stay:( Bad communication
I brought my daughter to MAUI for her 21st birthday. At first the communication was good (with Anthony). The day we got into MAUI we arrived an hour earlier at 9:45am, so we emailed and texted Daphanie and Anthony (their point of contact). Check in is at 4pm. We were exploring the island since then and asked Daphnie and Anthony if we could check in at 3pm (1 hour earlier).To my surprise they said there was a mix up from the owner, who did not communicate there was another booking. So they said the condo would not be ready until 5pm. I called Daphanie to let her know that this is a inconvenience and on the phone she she was defensive and blaming the owner. She was clearly also at a family gathering and was clearly irritated by my call of inconvenience for her. In the end, after Daphnie, hung up on me I get a text from her at 6:10pm that says, "U can try going to the unit n seeing if it's done". Her text messages, communication and emails are all written slang and super unprofessional. Through this ordeal, mind you it's my daughter's 21st, bday, we called VRBO since it was then 4:45 and we have no place to stay. VRBO kept calling them and an hour later we are booked for a resort paid for 2 days by VRBO and my refund for the condo refunded back. I wish I could comment on the condo, but we did not get to stay and it was a terrible experience not knowing if we were going to have a place to stay. Kudos to Mae and Ivan from VRBO for rectifying the situation.
