We had a wonderful stay in Manomet with family and friends. Susan was very accommodating and responsive before and during our stay. One minor thing was that we couldn’t find the toaster and other items but Susan was responsive and helpful. Highly recommend this property!
We had a wonderful time in this home. There was plenty of space for us, and easy access to the beach. The check-in process was seamless and the home was impeccable upon check-in. What I liked most is that none of the bedrooms are crowded, there is plenty of room to lay out your suitcases and whatever else you need to do. Often times rentals will try to fit in as many beds as they can, leaving you with very little room to move, that is not the case here. There were ample towels and blankets and things like that, you will have plenty of what you need. In the washer and dryer are easily accessible should you need to wash anything during your trip. You don't have to go down to the basement, they are on the main floor, which is nice.
A few things to keep in mind, there is not much of a yard here so if you have kids and were anticipating playing around in the yard, there isn't much space but you don't need it because you can just go to the beach!! We wanted to do quite a bit of cooking, just to save money from eating out all the time, and I would say that many of the pans were not the best (several of them burned our food), but I had brought my own because this is not my first rental so I know how it goes, not a big deal at all, but just keep that in mind. Probably because we were all women and because we spent most of the time in and around the property, we ran out of both toilet paper and garbage bags well before the end of our stay. Totally not a big deal, we just went to the Dollar tree down the street and got more. Lastly, like almost all of the rental properties in this area, there is no air conditioning, they rely on the ocean breeze which 90% of the time is fine but if you get days in the high 80s or 90s with little breeze, the home will be very hot even with the supplied fans. We had one hot day where the bedrooms upstairs were quite brutal, but this is rare in Plymouth. I've been renting in this area for many years, and like I said, most of the homes do not come with air conditioning, so this is not different from most of them. Overall, this is a great rental, and you and your friends or family will have a wonderful time here!!!!
The house was lovely. Clean and spacious enough for two families to have plenty of room, with a well-stocked kitchen that was great for cooking. What really set this house apart though is the fabulous beach that is less than a two minute walk away. Beautiful and perfect for kids to play for days. We definitely plan to rent this house again!
Cedar Bushes was a comfortable place to spend a week with family. The direct beach access, ocean views and amazing sunrises were so good for us all. Comfy beds and great windows were appreciated as well.
We needed something, preferably on or near a beach and for just a few days, large enough to accommodate 6 adults and 3 children so our kids & grandkids could all be together under one roof while our daughter and her family visited from CA. It was our first reunion since the pandemic. This house was everything we needed, and it was fabulous. The views are so beautiful, having coffee on the deck overlooking the ocean each morning was magnificent. After we arrived, we all wished I had rented it for longer than we did! The only "surprise" was that the access to the beach is via a VERY steep ramp, something my semi-invalid husband was not able to do. But he very much enjoyed the deck and the views. Thank you for making the home available, and we sure hope we can go here again!
I've stayed at a lot of rental properties and this by far was the best. The owner communicated address and contact info well in advance which gave us a chance to locate property and plan the stay!! 5stars all around!!
Great stay here. Close to all the Plymouth and lower Cape attractions. The house has a great view of Cape cod bay and alot of sunlight throughout . The rooms were huge and comfortable, a deceptively big house with a simple, open layout. It has a fantastic outdoor, two tiered patio area for eating and taking in the views. It was close to good food, markets, and short drive to downtown Plymouth. Cool spot for sure. I would definitely stay here again.
Very nice and cozy house! The view is wonderful! Direct access to a calm private beach! My kids loved it! Our family and friends had a great time hanging out on the house deck!
Our family had a fantastic time staying at Susan’s house. Plenty of room to spread out, and the house has everything we needed and more. The best part was the large deck overlooking the ocean and being a few footsteps to a wonderful beach. Beach wasn’t crowded even on a warm Saturday and was great for a stroll. The kids loved looking for rocks. Restaurants and other ammenties a short drive away. Susan was very easy and kind to work with. Great trip!
Wonderful layout of space for families - plenty of room to spend time together or apart. Children can have their own sleeping quarters and playroom. Many owners squeeze as many beds into a space as possible, the owner of this property actually underlists available space for sleeping or hanging out in. Owner of this property is amazingly nice, and super responsive. Wonderful property, wonderful vacation.

About the host

I grew up in New Jersey and have spent most of my adult life living overseas. My husband and I bought the house in Plymouth so we would have a place to call home when we are in the United States. We chose Plymouth because it is a laid back beach community but still close to Boston, where many of our friends live.
We love our time in Plymouth having reunions of extended family and friends. We spend several weeks in the house during the summer and during winter holidays. During the rest of the year, we make it available to guests to enjoy.
Why they chose this property
We chose this particular house because it has bedrooms on the first floor and easy access to the beach. We wanted a place that didn't require climbing stairs and was easy for young kids as well as older people.
