The property was beautiful. The room was very nice and clean and up to date. When looking at the pictures online I thought the rooms looked outdated. The pictures do not do the resort or room’s justice. Everything is absolutely beautiful, it is a perfect Marriott and represents their standard's perfectly. One of the comments about the listing talked about the price change once they arrived, I did not have that issue. When I booked the property online I was given a price but within 24 hours when Ken contacted me to confirm and pay for the booking he let me know they only had Mountain View available and the price was a little higher. But I knew that well in advance and it was my choice to pay a little more and complete the booking. There were no surprises and everything was fantastic. I would highly recommend this property.
After booking I had a few questions and Ken was very responsive and easy to communicate with. The room was clean and stocked with dish soap, laundry soap, extra blanket and pillows. It was just my husband and I and we enjoyed our time. This is a very family friendly resort—hope to bring the kids back one day.
The studio room was in a perfect location for a view of the garden, pools and lagoon. We thought we could fit a third person using the pull out sofa. The room did not have enough space for luggage. It was too tight. Perfect for a couple. Our grandson ended up switching to a large suite our son had reserved through MVCI.
This is our 4th time staying at the Marriott Ko Olina. We enjoy the facilities and the staff. It’s not close to Waikiki which is fine for us. We’ll make one day trip to Waikiki and then spend the rest of the time visiting the North Shore or other nearby towns. 3 of us stayed in the studio unit. It was cramped but adequate. It was nice having a frig, microwave, and coffee maker.
Marriott Ko Olina is a very nice property with lots of amenities. Would definitely stay again.
Pools, beaches, grilles and the many amenities were very nice. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The downside would be how widely expensive everything is on this property, from just basic necessities at the store to drinks and food at the on-site eateries. A short walk to Island Country Market, although still slightly high priced, made purchases more affordable. I would recommend a quick shop at Costco in Kapolei for all your grocery needs before arriving.
Overall would recommend!
Spacious, clean and well maintain property. My family enjoyed our stay there.
The only concern that I had was, we were given a mountain view instead of partial ocean view (we paid and booked partial view)
To avoid disappointment, I'd rather book mountain view during the reservation and ask at the reception for room upgrade.
Ken is a fantastic host. Timely responses, great room. Ko Olina per usual is breathtaking. The grounds are beautiful, the service is amazing. We will be renting through Ken again.
After fees, taxes, parking fees and resort feee in Waikiki, it was refreshing to get our bill at the end of the trip with just a $10 daily tax. Better property and ended up being cheaper than downtown.
If you are hesitant, don’t be, this was a perfect stay :)
Everything was great except our view was looking at a parking lot. Hotel could not help us but we spoke to Ken and he helped. Other all I love everything about the visit to koolina

*BEWARE*
We just completed our 5 nights stay and we were sooooooo disappointed. We stayed here last year with our infant son and loved the lagoon pool as the water was warm and very shallow. The Lagoon Pool is undergoing renovation and has been closed since Aug, 2023 and will be closed until March 2024. We booked our stay back in July 2023 and we’re not notified of such pending closure, had we been notified, we would not have booked as our top reason for booking was access to the kid friendly pool. I reached out to Ken immediately after check in and his tone was more or less, too bad since he’s not responsible for notices posted on Marriott’s website. I’m sorry, but an 8 month closure of a major facility would warrant a notice to the owners of the properties. We definitely were scammed because he didn’t want us to cancel the reservation. Not as advertised! Terrible!!!
The Marriott at Ko Olina has a relaxed outer-island feel on the main island of Oahu. Perfect combination of peaceful resort paradise and/or Honolulu nightlife. Marriott does a fantastic job maintaining the luxury resort. Will be back.
Beautul resort! The only negative was no ocean but we knew that going in. The view of our green surrounds, and beautiful palm trees was nice. Definately going back. Loved everything about the resort!
