Tons of fun!

This is the best property we have ever stayed in. The layout is ideal for a family with older kids as everyone had their own room and bathroom. I thought we wouldn't use the pool very often as the community pool is so awesome but we ended up only using the home pool. The property as well as the resort was spotless and felt very safe. The only way they could improve would be to add an umbrella to the outside table as it was way to hot to eat outside without one.

Only thing not so great, we were not aware that the kitchen didn’t have so many items. Like pot holders. If you’re planning on using the oven, bring potholders! Other than that, it was fantastic!! 5 stars across the board!!

First Negative Experience

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Margaritaville several times and this was the first not great stay. There were 2 dead rats on the road and sidewalk near our cottage, I understand that it's out of their control but you still don't like seeing it. Additionally, check out time is 10:00am, which I understand but we had a late afternoon flight so we were going to stay until check out time. At 9:30 we already had someone at the cottage telling us basically get out and at 9:55 they were waiting by the door to make sure. I get that they have to turn it over for the next renter. However, it made everyone feel like "we enjoyed having you here, now get out!" We visit Florida twice a year and this is the first time I've felt like maybe there's a better option in Orlando. I don't like leaving negative reviews and had emailed them just wondering if they could explain things further. Still waiting for a response...

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, the house was clean, and pictures were accurate that were online. Location was perfect for community pool and sunset walk. The only suggestions that I can give is more bath towels (ex. handtowels/washcloths/shower mats). I only had 8 people in house but there would not have been enough for 10 people. There were no dish towels neither. Also, a notice in house that states if you want the margarita pitcher, you need to ask front desk for it. We didn't know until towards the end of stay when we called front desk that ours was missing. Fitted sheets for the bed would make a huge difference also. Overall, I would stay at this rental again and would recommend to others.

Another Great Family Trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our second year visiting the Margaritaville Cottages and it didn't disappoint. We are a family of 6 adults. Everyone had their own space to sprawl out but still have meals together if we didn't feel like going out. The cottage had all the amenities we needed and if not we made a quick trip to Target or Publix. You can tell the cottages are very well cared for. From the kitchen to the bedrooms everything is tastefully decorated to make your stay feel like you're in paradise. The beds are very comfortable. The front desk is courteous and professional. We called ahead to see if we could check in early as our flight arrived in the early afternoon and since our cottage was ready there was no issue. We also asked to have the pool heater turned on and took advantage of the hot tub all the time.

Our home away from home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our 5th trip to Margaritaville. Aside from our wedding night (also at Margaritaville) when we stayed in the hotel, we've always stayed in a cottage. This was our first cottage with both a pool and a hot tub and I don't think we'll ever go without it! When the resort pool gets packed on the weekends, disappear to your private retreat at 7972 Shaker. All rooms, as typical of all cottages we've stayed in, were well appointed and extremely clean. In particular to this unit, it's location is wonderful as it's only a few minute walk to the resort pool. My only complaint, and it seems this would apply to all cottages, no matter how many bedrooms every single pillow is super thick. If you're a stomach/slide sleeper, bring your own pillow or prepare to use a throw pillow from the couch, as I've done all five times now. Overall, this cottage is perfect for couples, a group of couples, or a family with kids of all ages. I'll be booking this unit again next year when we return with the kids.

They came to flip the breaker and it flipped again and then had to have an electrician come out the following day. Frustration was that they wouldn’t move us, wouldn’t allow access to the breaker box to flip the switch, and after two requests, have still not heard from property management regarding my request for one night refund. It is miserable to not have hot water since we were here to meet friends and business. In addition to this , there were many items missing that you would expect from a rental, such as potholders, spaghetti strainer, missing backs of remote controls, and other basics. Management of Vstays, please return my call, it’s been a week now

Family Vacation

However, the shower in one of the bathrooms had not been cleaned. Hair was all over the tile. I reported it to the Vstays property management desk at the front office. I gave permission for the cleaning crew to enter the building to clean the bathroom. It had not been done and we went to the front desk again to inquire about it and we were told the manager said that no one could go in because the cottage was occupied. Thus, we were very dissatisfied with the customer service that we received concerning the matter.

Resort was rather packed and a bit loud on Saturday night only, the rest of our stay was rather quiet. The only odd thing is that I could not find margarita mix anywhere on property for the machine in the home, had to drive to publix to buy some.

Needs a good cleaning

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Margaritaville; we try to stay here at least twice a year. This property itself was nice, but, the cleanliness of it was horrible. It clearly hadn't had a good clean for a VERY long time. We got a shower and then within minutes are feet were brown from filth. There was dust just everywhere.. dead bugs all over the door to the pool.. (which I get its florida and that happens, but shouldn't that have been checked before we got there?) Bugs ALL OVER THE COUNTER in the kitchen.. so it could probably use a good spray for bugs as well. The front desk staff was AMAZING! Super friendly and professional when we checked in. My only thing was when we called for more towels and were told due to CDC guidelines we can't have anymore.. where is it in guidelines that guests can't have some extra towels? Or at least enough towels in the room to begin with so we are able to have a shower towel and a pool towel.. (also perhaps more soap for the washer since we have to do nothing but wash towels pretty much all day)When we stayed before covid, they always just put them in bags and left on our door step.. not sure how that can't be happening now? This was our first time booking through VSTAYS, and probably won't again. We did prefer to go through RENTYL.

Margaritaville cottage stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location with in walking distance of the main pool and shops. The cottage was spacious and clean. There was some mold on the sidewalk leading into the cottage and some on the outside patio furniture but the inside was spotless. I will be back in the near future.
