Relax and enjoy the wonderful views from this sunny unit in the Quarterdeck complex. This very comfortable two bedroom unit is situated on the 3rd floor with lift access. Sit on your balcony and enjoy the fantastic headland and town beach views. The unit sleeps 4 people, is fully self contained with internal laundry and has security parking. All this and only a short walk to Town Centre, Town Beach, restaurants and beach walks.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Terrible experience.Online photos are deceptive. Real estate tried to help but unit owners cared little about people staying and their comfort.major issues with appliances and electrical issues( not working:vacuum , toaster,broken dryer,hotplates( ancient and dangerous with peices of metal pinging off it when heating- not enough heat to cook pasta) grotty old baking pans and cooking utensils ( again cupboards filled with non useable items so no space for foor storage)filthy mildewed lounge with fingernails and food under cushions,webbing/bracing broken so extremely uncomfortable and difficultto get out of( reviews from years ago had mentioned the mildew on them)broken furniture on balcony ripped our clothes(piles of mildewed outdoor lounge cushions stored in a big pile in the diningarea.cupbords full of unuseable old smelly moisture effected blankets,cushions and pillows.base of wardrobes falling to pieces and shedding particle board all over the carpet. We paid in advance for a long term stay while our home was having work done to it and expected at least a comfortable stay.owners refused to replace any items and withdrew work orders that real estate had generated( wouldn't even replace a cheap mop or broom) while the unit was a self contained holiday unit the expectation would be basic items such as these would be supplied( not consumables such a detergents etc)other items:tears in all flyscreens and issues with windows ,sliding doors and door locks ,poorly laid carpet with sharp tacks in entrances dirty bathroom ,toilets and kitchen floors with builtup in the corners( mildew in the shower regrew within 2 days)....and the list goes on.lovely veiw,but do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere .if I could give minus stars for this review I would.The owners should be ashamed of themselves accepting a premium price with no intention of keeping the property in a decent condition.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was beautifully presented but it is a little dated. Stunning views. Very clean. No ants or cockroaches present. All kitchen amenities were provided. No WiFi nor internet access which was a shame. Access to a lift was brilliant. The only real negative with the property was that the linen provided - bedsheets - were discoloured, maybe due to stains from tanning lotion someone had previously used which was off-putting. I was fully expecting linen provided from a professional service which would have been crisp and white. Towels provided were fine. Only one kitchen cloth provided. I would have liked more so they could've been washed and dried more frequently. I thought for such a nicely presented property there would have been a decent selection of coathangers.Could have done with more and not just ****** wire ones. Prior to arrival I emailed Elders with questions but they never responded. I didn't think they were that bothered about a holiday rental although they were friendly. I grew up in the area but for a visitor from overseas I think more information about the area i.e. what to do etc, and a little more interest would be more reassuring for them. Overall I had a pleasant stay and would stay again. Location was perfect.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Check in was easy ladies at Elders very friendly. The unit had a strong musty took 3 days to get it down to a acceptable level.Bathroom very dated eg cracked tiles. Bedroom window facing corridor so no privacy if rollerblind is up. Could not have the window open during the night because no privacy and strong outside light. Nearly all light switches and powerpoints had cracked cover plates.Kitchen hotplates full of rust. Key for gate stuck in lock and needed vigerouse pulling to get out. On the positive site location is good and ocean view is nice. Fridge in kitchen very good.

3 nights in Port Macquarie

Some of the reviews here are a bit harsh in my opinion. Clearly the unit has had a facelift since the 2014 review as the carpet is new and furniture was very comfortable. Good TV and comfortable bed. The unit is on the 3rd story but there is a lift. It is very slow so we walked except on arrival and vacating when moving bags and boxes. There is a dedicated parking bay not mentioned in the info for unloading luggage near the lift as the lift does not open into the garage area. We have a Toyota Prado and getting in and out of the dedicated garage was tight but we managed. The unit is quite large and very comfortable. The location was excellent, on top of the hill and only 3 blocks to the centre of town. The view is great with the pine trees adding character in our opinion. They certainly don't block the view. The kitchen design was well set out. There is no linen included though this suited us as it keeps costs down. Security is like fort Knox with keys needed to get into garages, lifts, stairwells and the unit. So many keys provided, but for day to day use, only 2 keys are used. The negatives: And these are not deal breakers as I would stay here again. The kitchen utensils, pots pans etc need a good spring clean and purge for many items. The cleaners need to get onto this. The kitchen was also lacking in some basic areas such as utensils, pots and pans. Its all very basic. The owner needs to look into this. Otherwise the kitchen layout is great. There is a musty smell in the unit once you arrive, but it quickly clears once some doors and windows are opened. Some rain may have caused some dampness somewhere not obvious to us. There is no WIFI and this is unusual these days. The large smart TV with Netflix etc all unusable except free to air TV. Overall this unit is great and I can recommend this unit.

Not impressed!

The apartment was on a noisy corner with the view blocked by large trees. Although large the apartment contained old and out dated furniture and the carpet was dirty and worn. The unit had a peculiar odour.
