About this property

Short Term Rental-Moving to Austin and need a temporary place to hang your hat?

We are offering to short term lease this property for 3-12 months. We have rented in the past when people have moved here and their new home construction was not complete. The house comes fully furnished and ready for immediate move-in. Monthly rental is $5000 plus electricity.

As you are pulling through the gate and start up the winding hill begins the journey of fun and relaxation. The winding driveway opens up to a gorgeous house on the hill with a relaxing pool out back overlooking the Texas Hill country. The longhorns will be grazing on hay or grass in the pasture. This is where the relaxation begins.
On your right is the main house featuring 2 Master suites along with 2 other rooms with their own private bathrooms. Two full living areas for entertainment and out door patio space around the spectacular pool. The kitchen is a commercial kitchen with Subzero refrigerator and Thermador 6 burner/ double oven for preparing for the largest of gatherings. Gorgeous Hill Country views with amazing sunsets!

Family Gathering

We rented this property for a 90th birthday celebration in July of 2021 and again for a family get together in July of 2022. It’s a beautiful property with plenty of room for activities and relaxation. Lisa and Kenny are wonderful hosts.

We enjoyed our stay “at the ranch”. The house was very nice and was even better than the pictures. Kenny & Lisa were very easy to deal with. There were 11 of us ranging in age from 9-76. We had a great time. I highly recommend this house.

Amazing views!

The pictures of this property don’t even come close to touching how beautiful it is. We enjoyed a few relaxing days, playing in the barn and relaxing on the second story patio where the views are breathtaking. Watching the longhorns meander in the background is a cool extra. No detail was missed on this property!!!

Annual Family 4th July

Property was excellent for family gathering. Everyone enjoyed the pool. Brando had poker table, pool table etc. which Kept the whole family entertained. Long horns, donkeys, horses added to the country feel. Rain showers in distance added lightening show from 2nd story porch. Overall Awesome!!

Fantastic and Fun Family Gathering Spot!

Our group of extended family and friends had an amazing time at Vista View! Gorgeous home, such a wonderful pool, and incredible game and party space! Such a well equipped kitchen, comfy bed and bath linens and towels, everything beautifully decorated and so comfortable! All of us enjoyed long and relaxing days at the pool, beautiful sunsets from the upstairs porch, seeing the Longhorns, and grilling and eating together! We really recommend this location and would love to come back! Such a unique and fun place! Kenny and Lisa were great at being in touch and also telling us about the house and the cattle. Great Texas experience and so close to Austin too!

Love the Longhorns!

Our family of 17 (ages 2-65) had a wonderful time. Kenny and Lisa are terrific to work with, very responsive and professional. Our grandkids loved Kenny, he let them “help” him do some of the chores. That may have been the highlight of the trip for them. The house is every bit as advertised and more. We particularly enjoyed the party barn, playing cards, listening to music and impromptu line dancing. Our whole family recommends this property and hopes to have the opportunity to go back soon.

Fantastic Place

Stayed at the ranch for an large family reunion. The pictures cannot do justice to the beauty of the setting, the outstanding Hill Country views, and the gorgeous sunsets. The bedrooms are quite comfortable (including a couple with very large closets, perfect for Pack and Plays and sleeping babies), the living areas are spacious, and the separate "apartment" works well for a small family. Kenny was so gracious in taking care of whatever we needed, including the super-nice pool, where we spent a lot of time. The kids loved seeing the longhorns and other nearby animals and playing pool, and everyone had a blast. The location is quite convenient -- you feel like you have the Hill Country almost to yourself, but it's a 15 minute drive to great grocery shopping and 5 minutes from excellent carry-out options. Could not recommend this place more enthusiastically!

This place is awesome!

One of the best places I have ever rented. Gorgeous views in all directions and the house is top notch. The party barn was fantastic and our group had just a spectacular time. Will rent this place again for sure!

Amazing!!!

I mean I just don’t even know where to begin with this fantastic house and the amazing weekend we had. Every single person in our group was entertained and happy including the dogs. The teenage kids spent all day in the pool and the adults loved the barn with all the fun games! The toddlers loved the Longhorns and even spotted some horses. The layout of the house is perfect with a large kitchen for cooking and serving a large group. there’s also even a kitchen in the barn house where two of the bedrooms are, which was perfect for the families with young kids so they could put little ones to bed and still be involved in the barn with the pool, shuffle board and poker! The master bedroom is amazing with an extremely large closet where toddlers can sleep. The views of the Hill Country from the main house and balcony are spectacular. This house is absolutely a five star resort!!! It was an amazing weekend all around and Kenny and Lisa were so helpful through our time there and even before. Even left us a bottle of wine upon our arrival. We cannot wait to stay here again!

Perfect Vacation Home

We had the BEST time at the ranch! Everything was perfect. The kids had so much fun playing in the pool and playing at the barn. We were celebrating my Papaw’s 90th birthday, and he had the best time too. We played cards and dominoes in the evening and hung out by the pool in the afternoons. Mornings were so peaceful out on the balcony. 4 days wasn’t enough! We hope to be back soon for another visit. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!!

Impeccable Ranch with Longhorns!

This is a fantastically maintained ranch. The owners are friendly and accommodating. The house is enormous and has hill country views for miles and miles. Highly recommend.

Best wedding ever!

My husband & I rented this gorgeous home for our small reception after our wedding. This house is perfect! It had everything we wanted & more! Gorgeous sunset views from the balcony, a pool to cool off in, the comfiest beds! A definite recommend! Lisa & Kenny are the best!

Wonderful experience!

From start to finish this rental experience was a dream. The owners were very responsive whenever we sent them communications. The pictures of the house don’t do it justice. It is spacious, well appointed and easy in which to feel comfortable. The kitchen was not only well supplied with quality kitchenware and high end appliances but with supplies that save another trip to the grocery store. There was ground coffee, coffee filters, paper products, laundry products, popcorn and much more. We were greeted with a bottle of wine, corn chips and dip. I can’t say enough great things about the pool, patio and upper level porch. Even in the heat we could be outside enjoying the refreshing breezes during the day and stargazing at night. We look forward to using this house again in the future and would recommend it for family reunions, girlfriends weekends, special events or just taking a relaxing family vacation.
