Yearly get away

Our stay at the Redwoods was amazing as always. We have been visiting for over 15 years and it never disappoints. The only thing is I forgot my secondary cell phone, I just got home from a 4hr drive😵‍💫 and don’t know what to do.

Excellent furnished cabin close to Yosemite

Our family if six has a blast hiking in Yosemite and relaxing at the cabin! Very nicely furnished, we were able to unwind at night and get ready for the next day! Check in was a breeze!

A charming cabin in such a beautiful area

We love wawona and keep coming back to the redwoods in Yosemite. The cabin was perfect with lovely views, comfortable with many games for the family. Just remember to bring things like salt and pepper that are not provided.

Darling Cabin

We had a fabulous time at the cabin. Very well Stocked and wonderful to have property management on site. Thanks for a great time. We would agree with previous review about the bed. Does need to be replaced.

New mattress needed

Great house, plenty of room and quiet location. But the queen size bed in room 2 was worn out, big dip in the middle and it was super uncomfortable. Hopefully the mattress gets replaced because we're looking forward to renting it again for a family reunion with a couple neighboring units.

Good Family Time Cabin

The cabin layout was really nice for our family including teenagers. Big dinner table and comfy living area. The big deck and nearby walking is great too. The master bedroom, I believe, should be upgraded with nicer bedding and have one big / queen bed, placed comfortably in the middle of the room versus how it is - up against the wall with a twin also in the same room The BBQ worked well and was easy to use. This cabin is within Yosemite - we visited Redwood Grove at the South Gate on our way to the cabin - then went on to Yosemite Valley the next day (about 30 more minutes further into the park). Bring what you need for food as the market nearby is cute but tiny and expensive.

Very Unhappy with Experience

The most upsetting thing was the dining and it tainted our experience overall, making this a big "NO" for future visits. Knowing we are a captive audience (especially during COVID) with zero other options available, you'd think you'd work harder at the guest experience. Theincredibly over-priced, poorly thought-out and painfully executed dining options are horrible and the service even worse! We ate lunch in the cold 2 days in a row after multiple requests for the heat lamps to be turned on. Our "special of the day" hot dogs were served cold. When I took them back the cook said, "What do you mean they are cold.. What do you want me to do, toast the bun?". After a long day of hiking, I wanted a glass of Pinot. Of course you were out. The "Antipasto" sandwich. COME ON! Cold bun, wilted lettuce, day old tomato and a couple of measly slices of cheese. We went to the Awahnee in Yosemite the next day. We spent the EXACT same amount of money and had a very well-curated meal. Delicious actually. I had a chickpea wrap on spinachflatbread, my nephew had a chicken caprese panini. There is simply no comparison. When I went to the front desk of your hotel to voice my concerns, I was met with a flat, rude stare and treated as if I was a problem. This hotel needs new management, training and a philosophy to be consumer/guest experience driven and not hotel/staff driven. We will not be back.

Fun family getaway

Summary of this property = Love! There was plenty of room for three of us, myself, husband & 21 year old son (plus our dog). The kitchen was well stocked & appliances appeared updated. Only interesting thing was no kitchen towels or a sponge, but we picked one up & there were paper towels to use. If you are driving, just bring those items & you'll be covered. The area was quiet & this location is back a little so you don't have cars or people driving by which was nice. BBQ worked great the first night & we used the fireplace often as there was a cold streak with snow flurries when we were there. Beds were all comfortable & there were plenty of blankets & bedding available, as well as closet & drawer space. I would 100% recommend this location & look forward to planning another stay in the future.

Comfy Cabin

The cabin was perfect for our family six. The beds were comfy and shower water pressure was fantastic. (Although, make sure to bring your own shampoo and conditioner, because it is not supplied.) The living area, dining room, and deck provide great spaces to hang out and play games. (There is a fully loaded games closet and bookshelf.) It is close to the creek and well stocked local market. It took us about 40 minutes to drive to Yosemite Village every day. There are also great hikes with trailheads just minutes from the cabin! We highly recommend!

Great 1st trip to Yosemite

This cabin is well equipped and comfortable. We did a nice waterfall hike close to the cabin as well as a hike to a swinging bridge. Drove into Yosemite Village both days for other hikes and activities.

Perfect combination of rustic and great amenities

Second time staying inside the park but first time at this location. Great ambience and amenities. Nothing overlooked especially during COVID 19 as we had all our meals at the cabin. Everything we could have thought of was there for our use and then some. The cabin itself is the perfect combination of rustic and modern unlike our previous stay in Yosemite West which was much more modern but didn’t have the same charm. Will definitely consider for future visits.

relaxing 2 days in Yosemite

The cabin was great, and being in the park was very convenient. Despite 90+ degree highs and no A/C, the cabin stayed comfortably cool all day.

Spring break getaway

Perfect cabin for our family. Great location. Loved that we could walk out back and explore the Merced River. Only downside is the parking is tight if you have a larger vehicle. Otherwise I hope to return to this cabin in the future.

Home Base to Climb Half Dome

We chose Deer Creek as our home base for climbing Half Dome. Because it is pet-friendly, I stayed with the dog as the adventurous climbers headed for Yosemite. The kitchen was well stocked, and having a bathroom for each bedroom was really convenient. The home is located at the end of the road, no traffic whatsoever. The deck is wonderful and was perfect for eating amongst the trees. I do think the blankets should be replaced, though the towels were great. We have stayed at the Redwoods in Yosemite before and found it to be a quiet location with friendly employees. There are many new cabins in the area. (Love the popcorn machine in the lobby!) We stayed three nights during this year's Ferguson Fire. We had planned to stay an additional night, but because of the smoke, we left early. We were given a full refund for our shortened trip. The newly reopened Mariposa Grove is easily reached by shuttle bus and the trip to Yosemite Valley is a beautiful drive. The Redwoods at Yosemite give people an opportunity to relax in a beautiful setting with or without pets.

Peace and quiet in the middle of the forest

Stayed in this cabin for four nights after a hectic stay in Las Vegas, it was exactly what we needed. The cabin is very well stocked with everything you would need and is very comfy and homely.

Love the vintage charm

Quaint and homey. Such an awesome space for gathering while cooking and all. Beds were comfy! House was clean. Kitchen well stocked except Tupperware type containers or foil/saran wrap for leftovers would have been helpful. Also... watch your feet @ refrigerator!! Door is too low and caused some painful scrapes on bare feet. In general, a lovely, well maintained house and community.
