About this property

4 Seasons Of Fun On Beaver Dam Lake!

Great Lake House located on Beaver Dam Lake. This Lake home is located on Norwegian Bay the "quiet side" of Beaver Dam Lake, and is fully recreational, providing the best water-skiing and tubing on the Lake. There is great year round fishing, skiing, boating, several golf courses and ski hills nearby. There is a dock/pier during the summer months that is available to you as well. ATV and Snowmobile trail-head less than a mile from the cabin.

The shoreline is a 'zero entry' lake, meaning that the water starts at the shore and gradually gets deeper. There are no drop offs and the lake shore bottom is sandy with a few rocks. Kids of all ages will enjoy the lake and fishing off the dock!

The home itself is spacious and rustic giving that cabin feel.. Whether you are a small family hanging out, a group scrap booking, or a larger gathering of friends and family, there is perfect space for it all. The main level has a large rooms to accommodate the whole family. When it's time to slow down, there are separate spaces for everyone to enjoy peace and quiet. No air conditioning. We have WIFI!

On the main level: Kitchen, large dining room (seats 6), living room (with fireplace), 3/4 Bath and Laundry Room.

On the Upper level: master bedroom, 2 guests bedrooms, bonus room with Futon and full bath.

When (or if) you decide to venture out from the Lake House there is plenty to do in town. Walk to restaurants/bars, the grocery store, go antiquing, enjoy the playground close by, or cruise in your car to nearby towns and attractions, including the Casino a quick 15 minutes away. Or, bring your bikes to get around on marked paths. Award Winning Louie's Meat Market is minutes away too.

Come enjoy our beautiful little town of Cumberland and all that it offers. We are located at 2318 7 Street in Cumberland on Beaver Dam Lake and in Norwegian Bay.

We do have a canoe, and tubes for guest use at no additional charge. Snowmobile Rentals at Seasonal Power Toys at 715-354-3886.

Thanksgiving reunion with adult children and grandchildren. Everything we needed to cook our meals and enjoy games and entertainment. Plenty of seating and amenities! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will use this beautiful space again! The owner is very responsive to all communication and very hospitable! Highly recommend.

2nd stay, will stay again

This is the second time I've stayed in this cabin and it has been great both times. The area is quiet and relaxed, there is a grocery store and a couple of restaurants nearby. The cabin is roomy enough for a large family or group of friends. Will happily recommend!

Beautiful cabin and lake!

We were delighted with our first time Home Away rental. This cabin is beautiful inside, and very well furnished -- everything we could ask for and more!!! The owners responded quickly to any questions and were very easy to work with. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a family get-a-way!

Great getaway

Overall was very happy with the stay! Great rooms, owner was very easy to work with and very quick to respond. The cabin was great and sleeping arrangements couldn’t have been better. A little dirty as far as cobwebs and outside goes but it’s a cabin and bugs come with the territory of being on a lake. Overall great stay and great owner!

Family Getaway

This place is located on a great area on the lake. It is quite, and beautiful. It was hot when we stayed, so would have been nice to have AC. Also wish it had wifi, and could get some local TV channels. Otherwise we had a great time. Will probably be back!

XX Skiing in Cumberland Vacay

We had a great time staying in this vacation home--clean, neat, WiFi, XX ski trails about 20 minutes away. Great groomed trails! I'd book this place again. A couple of items: it was difficult to find the WiFi password, but the owner responded right away. I would suggest getting new pillows for the bedrooms. Overall, a great place for our purposes! Thank you!

Always comfortable stay

This is our second stay at Coder cabin. Great place and more space then we needed. The beautiful setting was the perfect way to unwind after an emotional first holiday without a loved one. Hope to return during the summer sometime to truly put full offerings to use with beautiful lake. Enjoyed seeing the renovations since our last visit only enhancing this already great place. Only suggestion is maybe a few more sheets like flannel for cooler months.

Great place to unwind

The cabin is in the exact type of place I was looking for, quiet lake location for a mid winter unwind. Great accommodations, my only two comments were that I actually couldn't park in the garage due to other items being in there. This wasn't a huge deal because the weather was ok. The second comment would be the amount of mouse droppings in all of the utensil drawers, also I realize this is a cabin and I throughly washed want I used before and after. All in all it was a great place to unwind.

Fun on the lake!

Great stay on the lake for anyone that enjoys endless swimming and boating! The house itself was comfortable with the kids having the space they need to play and relax. The beach has a sandy bottom that the kids can jump off the dock and swim. Past the dock does have quite a bit of seaweed so not able to enjoy jumping off the raft. When you get deeper, the water is free of weeds and you can enjoy kneeboarding, skiing, and tubing. On Beaver Dam lake itself they have a really nice park that has a large raft and diving board with a big sandy beach for kids to play! Communication was easy and really fast responses! It was a wonderful week on the lake!

Orange sludge and rotten Eggs

house itself wasn't bad rustic in need of updating but the water and conditions of the bathrooms were horrible. Everything stained orange. The smell ,taste and film on the water made it unusable .you could not drink, shower, brush your teeth, cook or wash clothes in this water. The scent so strong it made your eye's water. The sheets, towels smelled of sulfer/ iron/ rotten eggs. Sad nothing mentioned of this problem or pictures of the orange stained bathrooms. I don't know how you are to stay at a property without being able to use the water. Owner knew of issues. He did refund some money but we ended up in a hotel with no place to have family visit like we planned. The issue could be many things. Beware no usable water at this property!

July 14-19 2019

We had an absolute blast on our vacation with our 3 kids and their grandparents. We are from NC but have family in Minneapolis, so this was the perfect way for us to trade our annual beach vacation for a northern vacation on a lake with family. The house is very spacious and we never felt crowded. It is right on the water with two docks. We rented a boat and there was everything supplied in the boat house for us to enjoy tubing on the lake. They have a canoe and paddle boat that our kids loved taking over to the lily pads close by. The kitchen had everything that we needed to cook dinner every night after a day on the lake. The lake itself was very quiet and perfect for a family with small children. Spending my summers as a child on lake Minnetonka, I can say the small lake was a nice change with hardly any waves. We had the lake to ourselves most days during the week. It was perfect for tubing with kids. I wish I could post pictures of how beautiful the sunsets were. The water was like glass in the evenings and the orange sunset reflected perfectly on the water. The only cons were that they no longer have a slide into the water. This was something our kids were SO excited about and disappointed when we got there. We also had issues with out water the whole time. It may have just been a fluke for our visit, but the water was very brown and constantly ran out on us (you couldn't have your kids shower and do the dishes within the same hour. We had kids with soapy hair and no water because it stopped working a couple of times.). Overall we would absolutely be back. We made some amazing memories :)

A great place to stay for a relaxing weekend

Close enough to Rice Lake and Cumberland to get supplies, but far enough from the big cities to still be relaxing. Plenty of beds available for all, and comfortable accommodations. I would absolutely stay here again.

Post-deployment reunion

This was the perfect spot for a quick weekend getaway to spend some downtime with family and friends with our son who is stationed in NM and back home from a recent deployment. The house was organized and clean. We especially enjoyed the late which was perfect for some boating and fishing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
