An elevated floor shaded from sun and rain but still open to an airy jungle. Looking out to open nature, watch the moon rise through a pristine night unbothered by city lights, feel the sunrise break over the treetops. Early mornings full of roosters, perfect early starters 100% BIO
The space
a redú of the traditional ha-tó shelter once commonly found at this lattidudes as mayan people would use as temporary jungle housing. Built from stone, wood and palms utilizing local craft and techniques with idea to provide the visitor a the experience of sleeping out towards the open nature. As the rest of the house and gardens, this bedroom is candle lit for an unsurpased ambient. This rather spaitious shelter can easily acommodate 5 people, perfect for independant groups looking up to enjoy some time on their own.
Guest access
You will be sharing with other guests the bathroom facilities consisting in an roofless shower with no hot water supply, an open garden sink and separate composting toilet room. You will have access also into the gardens, hammocks, lounge areas, pond and common areas. Also you can have access to our art workshop and gallery. In the same premises we host an artistic residency program so chances are you meet one of our guest artists.
Interaction with guests
We will be glad to add to your trip and maybe point you to places that do not appear in guides or magazines.
We extend dinners and breakfast service by request, served in between the garden if weather allows. Menu with vegetarian orientation cooked on wood stove. Reserve with some ahead time. Prices moderate.
As the day starts early in this town it also winds up down early. It becomes quickly quiet and mellow around here afterdark: ambiented by cicadas, frogs, distant cumbias and other rithms of the mexican jungle, you will find a tranquil and peacefull night up to the first hours of the new day. As idilic as all of this is, the morning soundtrack is provided by our neighbor fighting cocks team!, so no need for an alarm clock as this birds start their cacophonic performance first morning lights... 100% organic and the perfect choice for travelers that want to take full advantage of sunlight.
