Cons:
1. Listing misrepresented pool access. Listing said “small fee” which is actually $8/pp for every time you swim. Person on rental contract HAS to swim with group.
You can ONLY swim between 1:30-4:30pm. NO exceptions.
We rented this house for the quiet and the pool access. We intended to explore the coast and then swim before dinner. Well, 1:30-4:30 is when we were out driving around visiting places. We WISH the above information had been clear in the rental description; we would have made other plans.
Pros:
The house is located in a quiet area over the bridge from Waldport; you have to drive to town.

This property needs some upkeep and cleaning inside and out, decent pillows (felt like rubber mats), instructions on the cooling/heating, and a little bit of a warm welcome (eg some coffee and tea and a thanks for staying here note). Given the rate and photos we expected something a lot nicer. The living room furniture is worn out and there is not even a headboard in the main bedroom. There was no foil or plastic wrap, which is basic. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, cutlery, cookware etc.
Comfortable, well stocked kitchen. Beds in 3rd bedroom definitely for children - not comfortable for adult. A long 2 blocks to the beach. Easy check in/check out, great communication with rental company.
Overall we liked the house. The fees were astronomical. The shower head was not installed properly and water was gushing out onto the wall which should be checked before dry rot sets in
The home had a lot of what we needed to make our stay perfect. It was unusually warm when we were visiting, so the house was hot on the first night. The property manager is wonderful - they brought over two large fans the next morning. My only complaint would be the beds/pillows. They really need a refresh. I’d definitely stay again and would recommend the home to others, in particular if the beds were replaced.
Comfortable home. Many amenities. Two bathrooms, one shower. Very nice that they contacted us after we moved in to be sure that everything was okay, but when we told them about a broken shade, they didn’t fix it. FYI-Could have used a can opener. We enjoyed our stay. Great beach.
Excelente lugar, casa muy cómoda, con todo lo necesario para una estadía y experiencia maravillosa.

Comfortable rental
Comfortable home with a well stocked kitchen with exception that there are no potholders. House exterior, baseboards and window casings could use a good cleaning but overall it seemed fairly clean. Neighborhood was quiet. The entry code for the back lock box did not work.

Not As Described.
I rented this house because it was stated that it was a 2 block from the beach. It was not. The Rubin House is a walk down a steep hill and then a 2 or 3 block to the beach. My husband has walking issues, so if he was with us, we had to park at a friend’s rental (which was 2 blocks from the beach) and walk from there.
In addition, I have rented many properties at the Oregon coast, and this a strange one. The kitchen was very small, but was missing a lot of stuff. We had to go buy a can opener, if we hadn’t brought our two pans from home, it would have been impossible to cook two large meals that we had planned. There is a laundry basket, but the handles were long gone. There were two brooms, but no dustpan. These seem like little things, but they add up to a bad impression.
I do a lot of travel and This has by far been the best weekend getaway I’ve had to date.
This is the first time I’ve stayed in a place where the photos gave it justice. Only time I’ve called management for simple questions and received such welcoming attitudes.
The place was clean and clutter free. Had a good amount of dishes.
Only annoyance was the secondary bedroom wheels wouldn’t lock so it kept rolling when bumped. And the water pressure in the shower wasn’t very strong.
I definitely plan to book again in the future.
We loved our time in this very comfortable house. It was close to all of the beach attractions we were hoping to visit. The furniture and décor were tasteful. The kitchen had good storage and every thing you needed to fix any dish. We would love to stay there again!
This was a great little place to escape to the coast. There was everything you needed to enjoy an extended stay near the beach. The shore was a short 5 min walk (well maybe 10 for the average Joe). When we went the clubhouse was closed due to Covid so we didn't get to use the extra amenities, however we had plenty of space to not feel cramped with our family.
Nice home, great location just outside of Waldport. Walking distance to beach and convenience store, less than 5 minutes from groceries and town. Seemingly-infinite hot water.
