Family Matters is a 5 bedroom, 5 bath, oceanfront beach house. With 2 king master bedrooms, 6 queen beds, 1 twin bed & a queen sofa sleeper. It is great for family & friend gatherings. Many families that visit include several generations and many of our guests return every year! It is very well maintained & located in a family friendly area.

A fishing Pier is a short walk north & there are several restaurants within walking distance in Surfside Beach.

There is a private pool, hit tub, & a boardwalk to the beach. The porch is a wonderful gathering place & has a beautiful ocean view. Beautiful ocean views from the 2 master King bedroom suites. Lots of fun things to do are close by including a large flea market, restaurants, shopping, water slides, kayaking, surfing, beach combing, & more.

Enjoy beautiful sunrises, jogs or walks on the beach & so many others fun activities.

Family vacation
Has everything you need for a fun family vacation. No need to bring beach chairs, towels or kids toys. Pool was great. The kids had a great time. Beach access was great.

House was perfect! The pictures for living room are deceiving. It’s much larger than the pictures show. Any issues we had or questions, Eric took care of immediately and responded to my messages quickly! The proximity to the ocean is perfect and we lucked out on perfect weather our whole vacation! I would totally recommend the ice cream shop on the pier. It’s amazing! Thank you for your accommodations!

Spring Break Relaxation
This place was amazing. We had 16 people. Perfect location for all of us. We rented a golf cart, but its easily walkable to the Pier and the restaurants. The pool and hot tub were fantastic and made for a wonderful week! Highly recommend this place and the owner is extremely responsive and helpful! Love that this area is not super crowded during spring break.

Small Beach Wedding
The house was amazing. The pool and hit tub made for some great wedding pictures. We loved the house. Having a bathroom in each bedroom was great! The patio and short walk to the beach was perfect. We will definitely come back next year

Awesome time!
My family gathered together for a celebration of life for my Aunt who passed away the year before. We had a wonderful time and the house had all the amenities that we wanted. Thank you for making our vacation a memorable experience.

Great family beach trip
We had a great family beach trip! The layout and size of the house worked well for our family of 14 with plenty of space to spread out when needed but also allowed us to hang out together and eat together without being crowded. The bunk bed space worked great for the kids! It is a great location, right on the beach and close to places to eat. The beach itself was very clean with lots of soft sand, quiet, and wasn’t overly crowded. We also enjoyed using the pool almost every day. There were fun pool floats and some beach toys available for the kids to use as well. We didn’t use the hot tub during our trip but it was a nice option to have. The air conditioning was very effective at keeping the house cool! Eric was a very responsive host and quick to remedy any issues that arose. Overall we had a wonderful time and would definitely love to stay here again next year!

Family Matters is a great name for it. Great for all ages. Loved view of beach and easy access to beach. Pool was great and 5 bed rooms plus bunk beds in hall was perfect for our group of 14.

Amazing stay!
Our family had a fabulous experience at Family Matters! The property was well kept and had everything we needed for our stay. Traveling with two young children can be difficult, but the home had many accommodations for our kids (high chair, baby gate, etc.). We loved having a private pool and used it daily! You cannot beat the easy beach access and views at Family Matters. Our family enjoyed sitting on the deck each night and soaking in the views and sounds of the ocean. The owners were always very responsive and helpful with anything we needed; the neighbors are great as well! We hope to return to Family Matters in the future. It was a fantastic stay!

Myrtle Beach Family Matters
Our stay in Myrtle Beach at Family Matters was fabulous!! Our two daughters, a son-in-law, a 16 & 12 yr old granddaughter and our 14yr old grandson were with us. The waves at the beach were awesome for everyone and once we were beached out, we went to the pool & some to the hot tub. It was walkable to restaurants and an easy drive to anything you wanted. My husband and grandson enjoyed a couple of golf outings. Everyone had their own space and bathroom and the inside the house was open for dining and game playing. The owner was easy to work with and the neighbor was a wonderful help while we were there. I highly recommend Family Matters !!!

Great Extended Family Vacation Spot
This property worked out very well for our extended family gathering of 10 people. It has a great location right on the beach. The pool works well as a change of pace from the ocean waves too.

Beautiful House and Location
The house was awesome! The only negative was the pool/hot tub and surrounding area being unusable due to damage from Hurricane Ian. The owner Eric was in contact with us about the pool area and even refunded some of our money because of the inconvenience! You can’t ask for better than that from an owner. Having said that, my husband and I enjoyed the view and sounds of the beach so much that we barely noticed the pool area not being up to par. I went to sleep each night to the sound of the waves. It was pure bliss! I’m thankful that we were able to have a week and the hurricane didn’t do more damage to the house and to the area in general.

Great location In Surfside Beach!
Our family had a wonderful time staying at Family Matters. Having each bedroom with a private bath was great and the bunk bed on the upper landing was perfect for our 4 year old. The best part was the quick walk from our property to the beach, just a few steps. The pool and hot tub were well maintained and enjoyed daily. Would suggest adding an internet booster, like EERO, as we had many users and many of us lost connection, especially upstairs. Would recommend to any large families.

Great location, lots of space, pool and hot tub!
Property was very spacious for our family! We loved that each bedroom had it's own bathroom. Plenty of open space in the kitchen and living room to spend time with family. Great location, nice pool and hot tub --- everything you want for a week at the beach! The kids loved the bunk hallway. Overall, the house was perfect but just a tad tired. The walk way to the beach is peeling with paint so the kids were scared of splinters and there was a wasp's nest under the steps that stung two adults. A few beach chairs were broken at the pool, no gas in the grill when we arrived, lots of sand in the pool and hot tub. We also had to make our own beds with sheets which I wasn't aware of. Check in and out was very easy. Would stay here again.

This property fit the needs of our family well. The house was so close to the ocean and the pool entertained the younger kids. We brought our own pool toys but they had plenty available. We also brought our own beach towels but they supplied more than enough. Any complaints I had the manager responded quickly.

My wife and I love to travel (20 countries & counting), spoil our Pug Kiki, & watch HGTV together, so it is only fitting that we bought Family Matters in April 2019, so we could put our obsession with “How close can you Beach” to rest! Our favorite travels were always beautiful beaches (originally from Ohio & North Carolina, we even got married on the beach in Myrtle Beach, SC), and we fell in love with Surfside Beach, as you get the best of both worlds – close to the city with tons to do, but also remote enough for uncrowded beaches and a place to rest & recharge with beautiful ocean views & sunrises. We are so happy to be able to share our home, Family Matters, with you and hope you enjoy your stay here and make many memories with your loved ones to take back home with you!

What makes this property unique

Beautiful ocean views from the deck, bedroom windows, living room, & boardwalk to the beach. Spacious home, with an open floor plan, lots of natural light, and well cared for by both current and previous owners.
