About this property
Escalante Escapes Barrel Cactus Tiny Home
Summary:
Beautiful inside and out! Escalante Escapes Barrel Cactus tiny home offers you luxury and the chance to truly feel like you've escaped from it all. This modern loft escape is located just minutes away from Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and some of the most scenic hiking in the world. It's ideal for couples, families and groups of friends.
The Space:
Tiny, but full of amenities! Barrel Cactus Loft Escape is our original tiny house model. It sits at the top of the hill and looks out across the property, surrounding mountains and beautiful canyons. This is our largest home at 570 square feet, with 400 square feet on the main level. The 12' ceiling and open loft add an additional 170 square feet and a feeling of openness.
The master bedroom features a queen bed, a flat screen Smart TV, a small desktop workspace that's convenient for working on a laptop or getting ready for the day, a place to hang clothes, additional storage space under the bed for luggage, and a thermostat for individual climate control.
The loft area is open to the kitchen and living room and has two XL (extra long) twin beds. This is a great space to play games, store extra gear, or just stretch out and relax. The ceiling height is just under 5 feet, so you big kids don't plan on running around up there.
The kitchen and living room feature an open floor plan with a sliding glass door that opens to the deck, where you can sit and take in the incredible views. The living room has a queen-sized sofa sleeper, two lounging chairs, a hand-crafted coffee table with extra bedding storage, and large Smart TV. The kitchen is well stocked with kitchen essentials, beautiful stainless steel appliances, a convection microwave oven for cooking and baking, a stovetop, a large refrigerator, a Keurig coffee machine, granite countertops, farmhouse sink, dishwasher and a table/prep island with seating for four.
The bathroom has a large glass shower, sink, toilet, hair dryer, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap.
Deck and exterior features include a propane BBQ grill, four large Adirondack lounge chairs, private fire pit, astounding views and breathtaking star gazing.
Each unit also has a small washer/dryer.
Guest Access:
You'll have full access to your tiny home. A code for the keypad will be sent prior to your stay.
The Neighborhood:
Escalante Escapes is new tiny home neighborhood located in Escalante, Utah, with 9 homes. You'll be within walking distance of dining, shopping, etc., in this small town. You'll have easy access to both scenic drives and hikes. Escalante has lots of restaurant options- Nemos, Escalante Outfitters, Big Bubbas, Chihuahua Garcia Mexican Grill are some local favorites.
What Makes The Grand Staircase Escalante Unique? The Grand Staircase Escalante is remote and less explored than all other national parks and monuments in Southern Utah. It offers some of the most breathtaking views of the state's colorful sandstone cliffs and narrow slot canyons. Escalante is also well known for its prehistoric rock formations and decades-old abandoned movie sets.
Getting Around:
Just 10 minutes from the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.
Here in southern Utah a vehicle is required to get around in town and beyond. We recommend a 4WD vehicle with high clearance if you intend to go off-road to out of the way places. Need a 4x4 vehicle? Rent a Jeep and explore the area with peace of mind. As our valued guest, enjoy a special discount on any tour or rental exclusively for you during your stay with us! "The Trio of the canyons" Peekaboo, Spooky & Dry Fork Slot Canyon ADVENTURE This trio of canyons is a must for your Southern Utah bucket list. This incredible hike through the Dry Fork area of the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument is a breathtaking loop we’ll tackle in one afternoon. The remote nature of The Grand Staircase and the sun-drenched Utahn backcountry means you will be off-grid when exploring these wonders. Pro Tip: Looking for the best way to explore Escalante and the Grand Staircase? Our favorite spots are the slot canyons. You can explore them on your own or book one of our canyoneering and rappelling tours. Need a 4x4 vehicle? Rent a Jeep and explore the area with peace of mind. You choose how you ROAM.
