About this property

Hillcrest Olympic Beach Cabin on the Strait of Juan De Fuca

Summary:
Quaint and Rustic Beachfront Cabin

The Space:
Whiskey Creek Beach NW has exquisite views of the Straight of Juan De Fuca as well as easy access to the Olympic National Park. From the Hill-Crest Cabin you can walk right to the beach, view the Canadian Cascades, Mount Baker and spectacular sunrise/sunsets! Bring your kayak or boat for some of the best fishing and crabbing in the Pacific NW. You will never forget this place! Make it a family tradition!

This quaint Cabin is a real gem! You will love the rustic atmosphere and the view is just breathtaking. Private access, your own outdoor fire pit and picnic table. Features one bedroom with twin bunks and a queen bed in the main living area. Kitchen has cookware, utensils, coffee pot, refrigerator stove and microwave. Take a short walk down to the private beach, or relax on the covered porch and enjoy memorizing sunsets, beautiful tide flats, bald eagles, seals, otters and even the occasional passing whale.

*This is not a pet friendly cabin

Located just 25 minutes outside Port Angeles, our guests can enjoy the serenity and beauty of the Olympic Peninsula with easy access to town and some of the best hiking, hunting, fishing and exploring you will ever find. There is so much to do in and around the Olympic National Forest, so take your time and enjoy your stay!

Nearby Olympic National Park entrances like the Sol Duc, Hurricane Ridge, Hoh Rain Forest, Cape Flattery make this location an excellent "base camp" from which you can explore the Olympic Peninsula and towns like Forks, Neah Bay and beaches like Shi Shi Beach and Hobuck Beach. Explore the parks, walk the rivers (Dungeness, Elwha and many more), kayak on Lake Crescent or drop right in the Strait from our private boat ramp. During the Winter and Fall, enjoy the true nature of the Pacific Northwest: observe the high tides, storm surges and occasional dense marine fog from the comfort of your cozy cabin. You are going to love this place!

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the beach on this private property as well as to the boat ramp and other upland areas.

The Neighborhood:
Located just outside the quaint little town of Joyce, WA, Whiskey Creek Beach NW is a quiet and remote get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy all the best of what the PNW has to offer. Within 3 hrs of Seattle and Portland, this is a perfect getaway from the big city.

We are nestled in the middle of so many beautiful spots to visit here around the Olympic parks. Only 25-30 min to the breathtaking Lake Crescent. There are numerous hikes and places to explore there. Not much further from that is the entrance to Sol Duc. Going the other direction you’ll find the Olympic Hot Springs and be close to Hurricane Ridge entrance . Cape flattery or the Hoh rainforest are not to be missed if you’re headed towards Sekui or Forks area.

* There is a great little store only 8 min from our cabins , Joyce General, that closes at 8pm. We are only 25 min from Port Angeles so if you’re looking for more options be sure to hit Safeway or Walmart off 101 before heading in for the night.

* Blackberry Cafe is a nice option for a meal out that is only 5-8 min from us. Family Kitchen and the One Twelve are two others near our place. In Port Angeles you have everything from amazing burgers at the Next Door Gastropub, tasty BBQ at Coyote Grill, yummy seafood and steak at Kokopelli Grill, Pho that’s the best at New Saigon. For quick and easy on the pocketbook, Fast Burrito with fresh tasty Mexican food . Also Sabi Thai has stellar Thai food. New Day Eatery has breakfast and lunch only, and is very good! Off the 101 on your way to Lake crescent, try out Granny’s Cafe open during the summer season.

Other Things to Note:
Pet Policy: *No Pets are allowed here in Cedar Heights Cabin. We do however have pet friendly places here at Whiskey Creek Beach!

*Most GPS software is giving incorrect directions to our location. After you get onto the dirt road, you will come to a "Y" in the road. Follow the large red signs pointing to the right, and do not go up BeachComber drive to the left. Continue to follow signs to Whiskey Creek WEST. Our office is right after you drive through the anchors. We will be ready to check you in there.

* There is a great little store only 8 min from our cabins , Joyce General, that closes at 8pm. We are only 25 min from Port Angeles so if you’re looking for more options be sure to hit Safeway or Walmart off 101 before heading in for the night.

* Lights are very minimal. Making for a beautiful night sky’s. :) Stars galore! If you plan to arrive after dark be sure to follow the directions we give precisely and ask if you any questions at all. I’d bring a flash light along as well for getting settled in your cabin.

We live on the property and can be
reached by phone if you were to need assistance.
You will receive an email 3 days prior to arrival with full check in instructions so please be sure your email address and phone number are updated on this account.

Olympic park

Very clean and cute property. Small cabin, but room enough for 2. Everything you need, great view and loved the fire pit. Only drawback was no restaurants close by that were open for dinner.

Beautiful

Stayed for two night with two adults and two teens. Tight quarters, but I knew it would be when I booked… I wanted it for the beautiful views! Cabin was perfect location for the things we wanted to do in the area… Forks, Port Angeles, and Cape Flattery! Closest food store is 30 minutes away so bring some provisions with you, there is a small fridge and cookware in the cabin.

Great View!

Nice view, and very well located if you’re planning a trip to Olympic. Cottage was well maintained and very clean. Easy walk down to the beach, and a great view of the sea from the porch. We would definitely stay there again.

Immaculate Accommodations

Pleasantly surprised to see everything needed for a stay, fit into a small space. Very clean , attentive to all details. Owner gave clear driving instructions, place is remote. Awesome experience waking to sunrise and sound of the waves just feet away from cabin.Explored along beach at low tide. Bought farm fresh eggs from a neighbor's mailbox for breakfast. Owners only responded to text messages and were timely in responding.

A getaway with my husband

After spending a few days in Seattle we wanted to explore the outdoors. This cabin has incredible views and decent amenities. It’s about a 30 min drive from Port Angeles. The surrounding area has little for food or shopping so you will likely be going to Port Angeles for that just as we did. We had a few communication hiccups with me not getting emails due to their emails going to spam so our check in didn’t go smooth. Other than that it was was a nice stay. I can’t comment on the hosts overall because we didn’t see them nor speak with them in any way other than with the checking in issue. The bed slept well and had good pillows but it was a tighter to fit 2 adults on. The shower had hot water. The bathroom door does not stay closed 75% of the time. So if you need that privacy it is hit or miss. The outdoor area was great. Nice to sit on the porch or have a fire. Walking on the beach was awesome. We would stay again and would recommend.

Great location, great cabin

This place was amazing! A cabin right on the beach! A small cabin that could comfortably sleep four was very clean inside and out. Beautiful decorating inside, bed was soft and comfy with lots of blankets and pillows. Mostly complete kitchen but no freezer. My biggest (and only) complaint however is the bathroom door is on rollers and didn’t roll completely closed and subsequently rolls back open which can make it awkward in a cramped space. ( towel pushed under will keep it closed, but maybe owner can provide a door stopper) Outside, cabins had quite a bit of room between them but also allowed for camp and rv setups. Beach is within easy walking distance and the view from any spot was spectacular and we saw wildlife in the campground! It was really a perfect spot and I’ll be back again.

Peaceful, comfortable, and beautiful!

Amazing tiny house cabin with beautiful views of the water. Very quiet. Had all the amenities we needed. Perfect for my husband and I and our young teen son. We came to see all the wonderful things on the Olympic peninsula. It was a lot of driving to see everything but the cabin was a wonderful resting place.

One of the best stays at any VRBO we have ever had

If you are considering staying on the Olympic Peninsula, this is where you should stay. It's a large "resort" owned by a family rather than a large corporation. The hosts are INCREDIBLY responsive. The cabins are gorgeous, and the property is secluded and incredible beautiful. We will be staying there again.
