Built in 1896, Cecil Mansions oozes with historic charm and takes you back to the turn of the 19th century with it's beautiful aesthetic and historic location. With easy access to Norwood Parade and the Adelaide CBD and Parklands, there are many great opportunities to spoil yourself with shopping on your holiday stay. Great Coffee and Hotel restaurants are only a 3-minute stroll away.

Beautiful suite located in the unique historic building Cecil Mansions, situated in the historic suburb of Kent Town. Explore the vibrant city of Adelaide from this fantastic location close to CBD and the wonderful Easter Suburbs.

Wake up to a fantastic view of Rundle Street from the Beautiful Jacarandas from the Northern balcony. A view that truly makes you feel relaxed and decadent. To the South, there is a rear balcony that has a wonderful view of the local vines and trees, a truly special sight.

This first-floor suite has 4 main rooms, a bathroom, kitchenette and work area.

Featuring reverse cycle air-conditioning and openable windows, you will have great climate control or feel free to let the soothing summer breezes flow through the Cecil Mansions Suite.

Wonderful stay
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect location within walking distance to the city. Rooms are large and spacious and beds are comfy. Air con is great (although would be good to have a list of the zones so we can turn sections off). Only negative was there was only 2 rolls of toilet paper and 1 small soap for a family of 4 staying 3 nights. Have already booked for next year!!

Unrealised potential
While the unit has all the facilities and could be a real gem, it was disappointing that almost every little thing that could be wrong was wrong. A half-used shampoo in the bathroom and a dirty child's sock in the main bedroom showed the cleaning was less than perfect. The fridge had not been turned on. Every bedroom door has glass panels, which doesn't allow much privacy even with the louvered blind on each door, and the stained couch and empty cushions in the lounge were not really satisfactory for a unit that was not exactly cheap. And while we recognise that the kitchenette has been set up on top of a large boxed in area that must be covering some infrastructure for the place below, it is on top of a large boxed-in area and therefore out of reach for the average person (I am 198cm tall and could only just reach the powerpoint to turn on the fridge). Please spend more time getting this old office space really ready for people to stay in. And one last thing. Finding the parking area was a real chore. The address given on the check-in letter does NOT take you to the parking, and it would be better to give physical directions since no address I entered into Google brought us anywhere near it!

Great for a short getaway
We loved staying in this old cottage. It had a great feel to it. All toiletries and linen were provided. Plenty of toilet paper you didn’t run out. It is great for a family who wants to eat out lot. As only a kitchenette. It was perfect for us as there is so many places to eat in Adelaide

Very comfortable beds with quality linen. Immaculately clean. Quiet at night, security gate on stairs. Parking spot. Easy 15 min walk into the cbd. Nice cafe and pub on next corner. We’ll happily stay again.
