Not quite Vrbo quality
We stayed at Elena’s unit for 1 month. The apartment is in a nice building, well located, friendly and helpful doormen.
We were disappointed with multiple issues during check in. We were not provided with any check-in instructions, and found out through the doormen that that there is a 30min+, weekday only, orientation to get key access to the building. Owner agreed to early checkin but ultimately unit was still in use by the cleaners until 1.5hrs after check-in. When we received the keys, the owner instructed us to direct the cleaner to do additional cleaning if we were dissatisfied with her job, which is a bizarre and uncomfortable request as a Vrbo guest.
We left the unit while cleaning finished eventually retuning as she was headed out. Unit floors were still dirty, stained carpet, and strangely found multiple soaking wet towels and blankets stacked up in the linen closet and on top of the dresser. When we attempted to contact the owner about these issues, we were unable to get in touch as she had left town. We did eventually call Vrbo support who was able to get in touch with her quickly, and the owner responded with multiple berating messages that I should have managed her cleaner more effectively.
Ultimately giving 3 stars for location and building quality. The unit was fine but furniture is quite worn and tired, and kitchen understocked. Disappointed.
