Escape to our charming one-bedroom studio unit, just steps away from the sandy shores!

Perfect accommodation for a single or couple here to get away to the beach or a great stay of attending any of the weddings in the area.

Pukehina Beach is one of the classic kiwi beaches - you unpack, walk the beach, have BBQ'S and enjoy making memories with your loved ones.

Pukehina Beach is the place to come and relax, or a great base to do some exploring around the local region. Located 30 minutes from Mount Maunganui, 45km from Tauranga or a 2-hour drive from Hamilton not far to travel for a weekend getaway. We are also not far from the Old Forest School, and the local Estuary Events wedding venues.

This comfy Guest Studio is on the beach side with access to the beach. It however does not have a beach view, but you can hear the sound of the waves! The owner's house is in front, so you need to walk past it to get to the beach. We have a dog on the premises. She won't be allowed in your studio, but she is very friendly and will love it if you would like to give her a pat.

The unit with one bedroom features a separate bathroom, a small kitchenette including microwave, toaster and jug, and a bar fridge to keep your snacks cold a microwave and toaster.

The studio has it's own private entrance and access away from the main house -On site parking in front of the double garage.

Please bring your own beach towels - all other linen is provided.
Bring your own food and toiletries - basic washing and kitchen items supplied.
The local dairy has some supplies with great fish n chips if you feel like taking a night off from cooking. The new and popular "Monty's" Cafe in Pukehina is a must do during your stay just a walk form this property.

Great stay!
Awesome place to stay for a couple of nights - we were there for a wedding which suited perfectly. Cleanliness & the comfortable bed were the two highlights, plus easy access to the beach!

I had everything I needed for an overnight stay. Loved the floor tiles. The kitchen area was however awkward. Not very user friendly really. Just needs a bit of bench space and the kettle was tricky to turn on at times. Other than that a lovely place to stay. Thank you. Judy

Very bad experience
Poor communication. Not replying to emails. Not making clear they are not owners but a management company. Didn't tell us where they left the keys until 11pm! on the check-in date after hours on the phone with book-a-batch support. Snails in the unit. Dust. Found something looking like rabbit's faeces in bed.

Lovely Stay
The place was lovely and tidy, but it hadn't been aired out so it was super hot all night from being shut up. We were under the impression from the description on Bookabach that we could walk past the house down to the beach. However, it was blocked on both sides of the house and didn't appear that we were allowed to go down. Although there was beach access further down the road, it was disappointing :)

Wedding weekend
Hi the room was as it seemed via bookabach. We were given instructions and keys which were easy to follow. Was a little disappointed in the pressure of where the car had to be parked while getting ready for a wedding in pouring rain and asked to move it🤷‍♀️. The bed was the best and most comfortable we have slept in so full points there. Thanks

Just the little things
The bed was good, my partner and I like a firm mattress and it was firm and comfortable. It got very cold during the night and there was no extra blanket to put on the bed. I looked in the drawers under the bed base and found some flannette sheets which we used as a light blanket. The door between the bedroom and the bathroom was clear glass and had no curtain or covering for privacy.

Disappointing
The unit just seemed to be thrown together. Pictures not hung on walls. Wall unit cluttered. Small.. fridge. Nowhere to eat apart from outside. Thank God it didn't rain. Very hot humid weather and very poor cooling facilities. The room was Boiling. As the unit was attached to the garage the roof ceiling was not completely sealed so when you walked in it was like 40 degrees. A bit of work required on this property. One thing I must say the bed was very comfy.

Joy's place was a great base for exploring Pukehina. The space had everything we needed and it was super close to the beach.

Simple but nice
I spent a couple nights there as a quiet getaway and everything was good. It is easy access to the beach and I could easily hear the waves rolling when the windows were open. Recommended to someone who wants a relaxing time or someone just using it as a base to spend their days running around.

Dont be fooled. No beach view or access like photos would lead you to believe. Your view is a concrete driveway and the other house on property which u have no privacy from as there arent even any net curtains

Cosy little getaway for a lazy weekend hop n a skip to the beach n a short walk to the local Hippy Pipi n the best fish n chips ... Some shade at the outside table would be nice n it was hot in the room so a better n bigger fan is what we missed n a little table otherwise lovely location 🌞
