We stayed here for a week between Christmas and NYE to ski with family and friends. This house is about 10 min to Stratton so perfect location. Very quiet and beautiful area. The house was awesome and perfect for kids since there is a lower floor with games and a bunk room. Wonderful fireplace. The owner was very communicative and helpful. We had a great time and would definitely rent again.
Every thing was smooth working with Frank! The place was exactly as advertised and was very close to Stratton Mountain where we skied two days. Will try to come back again next winter!
Our family rents a place to ski every New Year’s Eve, and Lubbie’s Landing was perfect for us this year. The rustic log cabin architecture, large living room, stone fireplace, and big TV were everything we needed and the location was only a ten minute drive or so from Stratton. It was a great place to ring in the new year.
I stayed here with my 2 daughter's. We loved the place. Its warm spacious and inviting. The grand fireplace was amazing. Frank is freindly and great at communicating and the caretaker was also attentive. We liked the feeling of being a little secluded yet so close to Stratton. I'd recommend this home anytime. Its a home away from home Thanks again for sharing.

ski trip
cabin was cozy and comfortable but needs a little TLC
absolutely need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get to the cabin. because of all the rain, the 1 mile road had deep muddy ruts
We can’t say enough about this rental. The house is welcoming, extremely comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, the sleeping areas were great, and the main room with the fireplace, amazing couch, and TV made for a wonderfully relaxing time with family and friends. Stratton is 10 minutes away, so we were able to go back-and-forth whenever we wanted. The owner was extremely attentive, detail oriented, and clearly cared about us having a great experience at the house. No doubt about it, we will be back!
This property exceeded our expectations the photographs are nice however in person it is amazing. It was only three of us but this house could accommodate at least three families comfortably. Frank was great we arrived after midnight and I sent him an email that I did not even expect a response until the morning however 2 minutes later he responded to my question. I would highly recommend this property.
Very nice & comfortable ski cabin only about a 15 minute drive to Stratton. The highlight of the house is definitely the main familiy room/kitchen area with the big wraparound leather sofas fireplace and wood beams (even nicer than the photos). Great communication from Doctor Frank. p.s. - bring shampoo as it was not provided.
Strategic location for those of you who want to try different ski mountains. A 15-30 min drive to 4 different resorts. Charming log cabin in a safe, quiet neighbourhood and hands-on owner available to help.
My family and I stayed at this property over the Christmas to New Years holiday week. Its a great location with a short drive to Stratton Mtn. As listed, the house had plenty of room and was very comfortable and my family was able to spread out and enjoy the TVs upstairs and downstairs. The exposed beams, large sectional couch, and large working wood burning fire place make it very cozy and great spot to relax as a family. We even played a few of the board games that are on site! Overall very clean and comfortable and we would stay here again.
We booked this house for Christmas week. When we arrived to start our rental, the house smelled like sewage and dead mice. In the kitchen, there were dead flies all over the floor, table, and countertops. Upstairs, there was an unflushed poop in the toilet. The smell was the deal breaker for us, so we turned around and drove home. We were in touch with the owner, who told us we should have called the maintenance person to fix the situation. We didn't think it was our responsibility to make sure the place was clean and livable. The owner insisted that the cleaning crew had been there a few hours before we got there, and in his communications with us he said we were being inauthentic and essentially accused of lying. It was clear to us that the cleaning crew had not been there that day, or even recently. If it were my house, I would want to know that the cleaning crew wasn't doing its job and that there was something wrong with the septic, but the owner was combative and thought we were the problem. This whole thing was a bummer because we spent a lot of money on the house rental and ski passes, only to use neither of them. We tried to get our money back through VRBO, but all we got were people in call centers overseas who were reading from scripts and had no interest in helping resolve the situation. We otherwise have had great VRBO experiences.
My family had a wonderful time at the Ski Haus! Super close to Stratton Mt. The drive to Okemo is about 35 minutes which was very easy. The house is clean and can sleep about 10 people. Frank is a great manager. Super responsive. Would definatley stay again!
The house was awesome, nice size for myself, my 3 children, 2 of their spouses and 6 grandkids. There’s plenty of room to spread out. The kids were able to go downstairs and use the game room and not be underfoot upstairs. It was very warm so no snow yet. We took some great hikes, lots of trails nearby, while some went skiing at Killington. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking large meals. Lots of seating too for dinners. We were a little disappointed that the jacuzzi was not working, it would’ve been nice after hiking and skiing. It’s also very dark, the stairs and hallways are very dark, very few overhead lights but that’s a very minor issue. Everything else was wonderful. I’d definitely stay there again.
- Property was great
- Frank, the owner, communicated everything clearly and made the stay and check in/out process very easy
- There were actually some more beds than advertised: some extra bunk beds
- Very close to Stratton/Bromley/Snow as advertised
We had an amazing experience at this property. A beautiful log cabin styled space, a lot of room, and a large yard for sledding in the winter. Highly recommended.
Our stay at Our Cozy Cabin from December 31st to January 5th.
Everything was as shown. It was clean and inviting, the only complaint would be the repairman never came to fix the washer after he was contacted. Other than that everyone had a wonderful time, and would gladly go back again.

Awesome spot and great place to stay!
Frank was awesome, his place was great. Clean and he was a great host. Awesome location to the best mountains in VT. We were 4 adults and 6 kids and there was plenty of room for us. Great to have 3.5 baths as well.

Nice but not kept up.
We stayed for a long weekend in February at this property. We loved the cabin look and rustic feel of the house but were disappointed in how unkept it was. There were areas in the house that were not cleaned very well. We wiped down and vacuumed up what we could but in the extra pullout upstairs we were unable to vacuum the droppings. There was also small issues that included loose door handles and a wobbly toilet. We fixed what we could instead of calling the handyman and we did email the owner to let him know. And as just a heads up, we noticed that the kitchen/bed/bath supplies were very scattered & scarce. We searched all cabinets and closets to find what we could use. But there was barely any starter soap, no dish/hand towels, an old dirty sponge, few cooking pots and the spices looked to be expired. The owner emailed me back and said he was going to talk to his cleaning people and handyman and hopefully they will fix the issues.

Our family of 9 had plenty of sleeping space, bathrooms, and seating in the living area. The cabin is warm and cozy. We enjoyed the picnic table style dining and space to play board games. The big island in the kitchen was a plus.
We did not realize there was no shower in the lower level bathroom. There were no towels in the main level bathroom used by 6 of the 9 people in our family. We hunted and found clean ones in the laundry room. The driveway is a challenge as was mentioned in another review. Two of our vehicles had 4WD, but our Toyota Sienna did not. We had significant snowfall the morning we left and some difficulty managing the steep and curving driveway. It takes more like 20 minutes to reach the parking lot at Stratton Mountain. The caretaker was responsive and helpful with any problems or questions we had. The weather couldn't have been more perfect and the skiing and tubing at Stratton were outstanding. Thanks for a wonderful winter get away for our family!!

Great stay at a classic Vermont cabin
Our group had a nice long weekend here. Roomy place, great cabin ambiance, a short drive to Stratton. Awesome fireplace with wood provided and a big outdoor deck were fun luxuries. The kitchen was well stocked. There was an extra full sized bed upstairs we weren't expecting, I believe it is a converted pull-out couch. So you could really sleep 12 here in a pinch. The bottom halves of the bunk beds didn't have much head room, so having that extra bed was nice. The driveway was a little steep/icy - not terrible, but 4wd is helpful. The owner was very relaxed and a pleasure to work with, and returned the damage deposit in a timely manner.
