We rented to be close to State College for a football weekend, celebrating a birthday, and reunion of family! It was very easy to check in thanks to our host and great communication! I wish we could have taken advantage of the trails and fishing, but hopefully we will be back!
My gf and I had a wonderful stay here. Craig is a friendly, helpful, and accommodating host. The home is beautiful and in a terrific location. I can’t wait to come back.
Great place to get away from the graduation bustle of State College and to relax in nature.
It was perfect for our family gathering.
Hosts were great!
Nice little town with a couple of restaurants and a good grocery store 5 min away.
Our stay at Coburn on the Creek was perfect. The house has everything you need, comfortable seating throughout and comfortable beds, a nice patio out back with lanterns, and an expansive front lawn leading down to the creek. The mud room is a great place to land and stash shoes, etc. We were in town for a nearby wedding and found the property to be a perfect home base.
Everything was just as advertised and Craig was super nice and helpful, checking in on us to make sure we had all we needed and hooking us up with great info on close places to swim, fish, tube and play. We all had such a great time we really didn’t want to leave and are already talking about returning next year. The house was cozy and comfortable and the outside spaces available to us were great as well - at the house and by the creek. Highly recommended!!
We had a lovely time staying at Coburn on the Creek. I wish we could have stayed longer because there were so many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Craig was a great host, very welcoming and chill. We found everything we needed stocked and ready. The outdoor spaces were marvelous! So many places to sit by the creek or back by the woods or in the garden. We would definitely stay again!
We stayed for Penn State Family weekend. We were looking for somewhere near the university that would allow us to bring our dogs. We found Craig and Marias property. It is a creekside jewel. There was plenty of room - multiple beds in each bedroom plus the common area and a patio. The house has a beautiful yard with a walking path along the creek. We were able to spend time with our son on campus a straight 30min drive away and come back and enjoy quiet nature. A visit with a built in mini-vacation. Thank you!
THIS IS OUR SECOND STAT HERE. THE WEATHER WAS IFFY. THE FISHING IS USUALLY AWSOME BUT THE HURRICANE LEFT HIGH WATERS AND THUNDERSTORMS KEPT IT HIGH. WAS STILL RELAXING AND WE GOT TO GO TO THE LARGEST FAIR IN PA. ..WE WILL BE BACK AGAIN
This is our second time staying at this property. The cabin is spotless, very well equipped, and so comfortable. My husband caught lots of 20 inch trout and was ecstatic. Unfortunately we had to leave early because of illness but Craig made it very easy for us. We will definitely be coming back, perhaps in the fall!
It was a bit hard to find at night. The small bridge that you go over is very narrow and you MUST turn a quick left after it. There should be a sign right there with the street sign or a street light or something to tell folks to turn. The house is adorable. It is a good 35-40 min from State College through a windy roads with lots of farms and amish buggies to dodge. It was a wonderfully appointed house with comfy beds and everything you need in the kitchen. We didn't get to spend time in the lovely grounds but if you have time, it looked great.
Accommodations are very well thought out including amenities. Beautiful location with well kept grounds and outstanding private fly fishing. The host is attentive and very helpful if needed.
We truly enjoyed our trip to Coburn on the Creek. Craig was friendly, helpful, and a great communicator. The house offered everything we needed, from the large mud room to well-equipped space. I will say that we have stayed in more luxurious places, but this cottage offered everything we were looking for from the fishing, to beautiful views, to healthy environment, to excellent hosts. Try the nearby restaurant and brewery, too!
Craig is a wonderful host. We had a great time. Very quiet and relaxing. The fishing is amazing and there are many small areas to explore and have a camp fire. Would recommend this place to anyone.
We had a great time at Coburn on the Creek. If you like to fish for trout, my husband says it is the best trout fishing in PA. The cabin was very clean, kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms were very comfortable. We will definitely be coming back next year
