Nice place, very clean and exactly as described in listing. Right next to highway so had a bit of road noise but not too bad. Overall really liked the place.
Great little cabin right on the bank of the Sol Duc River. This little gem has everything you need…kitchen that’s full stocked so that you only need groceries, a grassy area for a fire pit, bbq, and quick pathway down to the river. Great WiFi and tv were a bonus for downtime. It’s not big but it doesn’t need to be. For a couple with kids or a couple of friends on a fishing trip, this is your spot.
We love this property. We have stayed there about 4 times now and we love the location. Close to local area sightseeing. The property is right on the river which was enjoyable to watch and hear the water running. Inside the cabin is very pleasant and rustic. 5 star cabin!
We totally enjoyed our stay at this beautiful place. The Cabin is very clean and uncluttered. Just the right amount of everything provided. The wood stove was a great thing for the very cold and snowy stay. Additional wood provided within 2 hrs. of request. Best accommodations we have ever stayed at. So much to enjoy in the area, we will be back for sure.

We had a fantastic time. Was able to hike multiple trails in the area and once they open the road back to the hoh next year we will be staying here again. Made our trip perfect.
We really enjoyed our stay… thank you! It was clean, organized, and comfortable. We really enjoyed the location for excursions into the park. As the owners note, there is some road sound. We didn’t need ear plugs but they provide them if you do… it didn’t bother us :)
Lovely little cabin for a short weekend stay. The only challenge with it was the visibility coming out of the driveway onto the highway is poor, so just be aware of that!
Hidden Duc is a fabulous place to stay! The cabin is very clean and has everything you might need. The Sol Duc River runs through the back yard, and the cabin is in close proximity to Forks, La Push, and excellent fishing on several coastal rivers. We had a great time and will definitely be staying again.
We had a great stay at this place. It’s small but really efficient and in a great location—conveniently close to everything we wanted to do. The highway noise was a little louder than we expected, but it wasn’t too bad. The mattress could probably use an update, but it was still comfortable enough. Overall, a good spot for a short stay!
The furnishing throughout the cabin were high end. From the bed to the couch to the kitchen everything was top notch. Unit was very clean and had everything we needed. Only negative was the road noise can be distracting.
We have stayed here many times and it is perfect location. Very peaceful and when the coffee maker was not working they brought me a new one right away. We will stay here
We really enjoyed this little cabin. The only down side is the loud road traffic close to the cabin. My husband enjoyed Salmon fishing on the river right behind the cabin. The light above the sink didn’t work which made it hard to see in the evenings for cooking and cleaning dishes.
This is our second time staying at this cabin and it is always a pleasure. The hosts are very friendly and respond immediately with any questions. The cabin is well stocked with cooking supplies. The location could not be any more perfect. It is just far enough out of town to be private, yet it is such a short drive to get to all the festivities. We will be back!
This was a really lovely stay (the pictures don't do it justice)—the big windows let in so much light, the cabin is cozy and spacious at the same time, the kitchen had everything we needed. Location was super convenient for our Olympic roadtrip, just off the main road. There is some noise from the road, but it dies down a lot at night. We slept well both nights. Nick was very responsive and helpful when we had questions about check-in/out. We highly recommend!
This accommodation is a couple of miles from Forks, easy to reach and is very comfortable. We enjoyed staying there to visit the west parts of Olympic NP.
Cute small cabin just outside of Forks, we used this cabin as a base for day hikes around the Olympic Peninsula. Fully equipped, we would've loved to stay longer
I had a wonderful stay at this cabin! Super clean and well laid out. The backyard looks out on a tranquil river. I saw two river otters while I was there :) I highly recommend this cabin for a peaceful getaway - it’s close to Forks, and a short drive to beaches and hiking trails.

About the host
Hosted by Nick & Sheri Larson
My wife and I have both lived in the area for over thirty years and we still love it here in spite of all the rain. We have a large family with six adult children and eleven grandkids. There is never a dull moment around the Larson house.
Why they chose this property
We lived across the highway from this cabin over twenty years ago and rented a small cottage that is no longer standing. During the summer months we can walk downstream to the next river bar where we used to roast hotdogs and marshmallows with our kids over twenty years ago. One family of our old neighbors still live there.
What makes this property unique
We can see the Sol Duc river flowing by without going outside. There is a beautiful view of the river from the living room window and the kitchen window as well.
