Snappers Inn was perfect for our stay. The view from the living room window and deck are Awesome---although the property across the street does have equipment in the view---not a deal breaker though. The beds were a little hard. Easy walk to town. Rate a 4 plus for sure. Owner very friendly. A barbecue would have been nice to cook the fresh fish we purchased in town. Love Haines we will be back to explore up into Canada.
This property was clean, well equipped, close to everything! The bikes were a plus to have to get around. Communications with Randa were great while we were there and while setting up our stay. The bed was comfortable, kitchen worked out well for cooking, laundry facilities too! Enjoyed Netflix and the provided movies. We would rent from Randa again!

We loved the proximity to town and the great view. Just the right size for 4 people. Simple to clean and yet space to spread out. Very pleased with it.
Our home away from home! Great house, great location, beautiful views-always a pleasure to stay there!

Beautiful view every morning
Snappers Inn was a very nice place to stay for our time in Haines. It was very convenient to downtown. It had everything we needed. The check in and check out was very easy and we had no problems at all while we were there. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone who is going to Haines.

Relaxing! Quiet! With a view of the water.
Good location and had everything one would want...well equipped, new, clean, enjoyed the deck even in the cooler weather with a hot coffee in the morning spotting the eagles. Well heated for that cooler morning as well. Patricia saw us out on the deck one morning and stopped by to say hi. Owners are very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again. We walked each night to supper but the kitchen has everything you need if you were to cook and eat in.

A Real Winner, Folks!
Snappers Inn was a very wise rental choice for us. The house sits in a hard to beat location. It is right by the water and has great views. The location is also quiet and relaxed. Many afternoons we enjoyed sitting on the deck and soaking in some sun while listening to the waves and smelling the fresh, clean, salty air. That being said...the house is also only 3-4 blocks from everything downtown. So you have quick access to shopping, restaurants, the Skagway fast ferry, and grocery stores. The best of both worlds! We also enjoyed picking the salmonberries that grow right on the road that the house is on. Fun!
Randa was very quick to respond when we had a question and got in touch with the owner, Patricia. Patricia was also pro-active in making sure we had everything we needed and was such a friendly lady. Really enjoyed meeting her and talking about the area.
There are a couple of negatives to consider. The couches were clean but pretty worn out and had boards under the cushions to keep them from sagging. That was pretty uncomfortable. Then again...you're in Haines! Get off the couch and get outdoors! But it would be nice to have a more comfortable seating arrangement in the evenings when winding down. The other thing is the pillows. Personally, I had a difficult time with them. Some are super flat. Others are lumpy. They are standard pillows, not down. So if you are used to a nicer pillow, I suggest bringing your own.
The house was well stocked with household items and also some extra cooking items that you might need (salt, pepper, vanilla, etc...). Other things we liked about this home were the washer and dryer and also the dishwasher. Very, very convenient!
Overall, I felt like this house was a good value for the price. While there were some drawbacks, the positives outweighed them. And the price was great. Combine those things and we have a winner, folks!
