Welcome to Summer-time Bliss!

A short ride from NYC ( 75min;) just over the Westchester County Line, you will find the private and tranquil neighborhood of Kirk Lake.
Smaller and quieter to its bigger neighboring public Mahopac Lake, Kirk Lake has all the accommodations and features of a private get-away. A Fully furnished, well appointed 600sf/Cottage with open floor plan, living-dining room, kitchen, full bath, two bedrooms and a sun-porch plus fireplace awaits our next guest.

Summer is all about the outdoors!
Maximum fun and minimum fuss, barefoot, bathing suits and paper plates........!!!

Perfect get-away and great location

We really enjoyed staying at the Kirk Lake front cottage which is a super convenient if coming from NYC. Moreover the indoor/outdoor spaces are set up in such a way that you can enjoy a work remote set up. We enjoyed kayaking, canoeing, the fire pit, the grill was in excellent condition, and puggle Dexter loved the fenced in yard. We plan on re-booking in the Spring/summer time :)

We went for quiet, short drive to destination and a water view. Got all that and beautiful foliage, places to hike, and a serene neighborhood

Magical place

The cottage was fantastic! Right on Kirk Lake - I had friends and family for short visits - all enjoyed lakeside meals outside!! Even my cat who has never been away — fell in love with the house. I strongly recommend this as a perfect getaway!

unique experience

We spent our lake front vacation with tropical storm Isaias. Our stay turned into a unique glamping experience. We lost power for a few days but after contacting the owners our stay became much more comfortable. They provided a generator which gave us enough power for everything we need. The location is beautiful. Looking forward to another great stay.

Lake Life at its finest

I had an incredible extended stay in this charming cottage. The Lake is beautiful and clean, and the perfect size to kayak around or just relax on a floatie! I look forward to staying again in the future, as a much needed escape from the city!

Delightful stay

We stayed in the lake cottage for 2 weeks. We were concerned it would be too small for our family of four -- with two teenagers, two cats, and both parents working remotely during the week. However, it was perfect. The wifi was strong, reached all the way to the dock, and we didn't have a single issue with it -- and that's with 5 laptops, 4 iphones and 3 ipads hooked up to it. :-) Nothing like having a zoom work call with the lake as your background. Kayaks are in great shape, the lake was clean, and the fish were biting! Lucien even dug around in his garden to find me some worms. This was the ideal location to unplug from city life. Close enough that we could travel back to the city as was needed for work once or twice, but yet still felt completely remote. Local grocery store was quaint and had everything we needed. Plenty of take out options, too. We had a plumbing issue in our second week, but the owner was there the next day, snaking the toilet and fixing the issue. Stuff happens in life, and how you respond to it is everything. Lucian and Lillian earned an A+ in our book. They are delightful people and very easy to reach. The house felt like home after just a few days ... we miss it already and we will 100% book with them again.

Enjoyed our time here

We enjoyed our stay at the little cottage it was right on the lake and my husband caught a lot of bass. We enjoyed the fire pit . We felt like it was a safe area to be in , also close to restaurants and things to do

We will never forget our time on Kirk Lake!

The pictures of the outside area do not give it justice. This house is loaded with everything you would need to have a fun week at the lake! House is equipped with 2 Kayaks, a canoe, two rafts, hooked fishing poles (all you need are some worms), BBQ, outside fire pic on the lake, and great outdoor seating right on the lake. With worms from the bait and tackle shop all you need led to do is drop your line in and the fish came running. We caught small mouth bass and sunnys. Fishing is always more fun when you catch fish! The lake is incredible and if you are looking for a nice spot to escape from NYC I do not think there is a better option! Overall great place to stay.

Wonderful getaway!

I want to thank Lillian and Lucian for a wonderful experience. The home is so quaint and clean. The property has everything you may need. We fished off the dock. Went out in the canoe and kayaks. And swam the the beach which is short stroll from the house. It was a very memorable experience for our family. We cant wait to do it again.

Perfect lakeside retreat house!

The owners are very friendly and thorough with providing amenities you would need from fishing gear to wood for the fire as well as anything you may want for the lake. The house is cozy and feels bigger than the square feet noted (great sundeck on the lakeside help). A couple of strong AC units help keep the places cool as could be expected for what was a 95 degree weekend. The lake level patio/dock is what really sold us as you can enjoy sitting right at the edge while eating or enjoying a campfire. Would recommend/book again!

Lakeview meditations

Great property! Beautiful indelible tranquil view. Decor is beautiful. Charming throughout. house was a little smaller than I thought but cozy enough for my party of 5. Owners super nice, go the extra mile, came by to teach my 12-year-old how to fish and brought worms! We never would’ve figured out all of that since my kids had never fished before. We caught a 12” bass and ate it that night. That is priceless in my opinion.
