Comfortable, Quiet, lovely home

The house was perfect for our group. Located directly across from Como Lake and a 5 min drive (or 30 minute walk along the lake) from the Zoo, which is really wonderful by the way. We didn't have kids with us but the location across from a large grassy area along the lake would be a perfect set up if we did. Lots of room to run around and the 2 mile walk around the lake is lovely, serene and highly recommended. The 3 bedrooms made it perfect for our group which consisted of 2 couples and a single and the 3 bathrooms, 2 upstairs and 1 down, made that even easier. Nicely appointed and very clean, this house feels like a home, comfortable and relaxing. Easy communication with the owner, ample neighborhood parking, lovely area to walk around. The house has just about everything you would need but there are no real stores within walking distance with the exception of a gas station about a 15 minute walk away where you can buy snacks, sodas, etc. There are shopping areas though just on the other side of the lake where you will find a grocery store and some other small shops. Everyone in our group was very happy with this choice.

Wonderful house near Lake Como. Beautiful and clean. Nice walks around the lake 1.6 miles. Nearby restaurants and zoo. Will stay again!

Great reunion of friends

We really enjoyed the property. Nice space inside and out for small group hang outs. Very clean and comfortable space. Lovely old St. Paul home with charm. The location was great too.

Beautiful home in a fun neighborhood

We loved our stay here. The home is very, very tastefully done. There is a gourmet style kitchen that we thoroughly enjoyed as my sister and husband are gourmet cooks. We enjoyed the central area too for visiting and the view is nice. We loved the train that goes by a few blocks away. Walked to como park zoo and around the lake. Dao is a communicative host and was very helpful. I recommend this lovely place!

Long Festival Weekend

So clean, so pretty. Showers and beds amazing. Clean towels and bedding. Kitchen fully stocked with anything you need. Bring some firewood for the fire pit. We never found the hot tub, but would stay again. It only would have been a plus.

Lovely house in the beautiful Como Park area

We enjoyed this lovely house very much throughout our 5-day stay. The host was superb and responsive. All the necessities and supplies were adequately provided, which we really appreciated. The house is very close to Lake Como, which makes a nice evening stroll around the lake. There are many locals who go there for jogging, walking or dog-walking. Such a lovely neighborhood. The area is safe and peaceful. The house is beautiful and so is the garden. There is a large capacity washer and dryer on the main level, which makes doing laundry easy. The house was clean and well maintained. We would stay here again in the future if we are in town. Thank you for letting us stay at your lovely house, Dao!

Lovely lake home

Road trip to the Twin Cities

A beautiful home and neighborhood! I would highly recommend staying at this wonderful property. Great location near the lake/park, in a quiet neighborhood. The details of the house are upscale, tasteful, and homey. We are very grateful for being able to stay there.

Friends trip

Stayed in the Twin Cities over the holiday weekend with friends. The Lake Como house was perfect. 3 bedrooms and 3 baths fit our party of 3 perfectly. The house was very clean and equipped with everything we needed for the long weekend. I would recommend this property and will definitely stay at the Como house again.

Cozy house on Lake Como

This house was perfect for the week we needed to stay in St. Paul. A few of my friends and I rented this cozy house and it was nice coming home each night to a “feel like home” place to relax. The owner’s hospitality is above and beyond. The yard is well kept with beautiful flowers that the owner takes great care of. The house is across from Lake Como with a beautiful walking/running path. Such a great find!! We will be back!

Wonderful home

The house is gorgeous and very well appointed. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The bathrooms are newly renovated. The kitchen is gorgeous. There are 2 nice outdoor spaces - a fire pit in the front and a table on the back deck. We loved it!

BEAUTIFUL HOME, PERFECT LOCATION

Location is minutes from MPLS/ST PAUL Airport. Pictures don’t do this house justice. House is GORGEOUS & VERY CLEAN🤩. All showers have been updated with glass doors. Beautiful yard with tons of flowers & plants that the Host waters daily & she did forewarn us she would be by daily to water. Her diligent care to her property shows!!! She was very responsive to messages. We enjoyed fire pit at night and morning walks around Como Lake. I also recommend pontoon boat rentals on White Bear Lake. When visiting Minneasota again this is where we will stay!! THANK YOU DAO!!!!

Great home but Host does not respect privacy

I was excited for my family vacation at this property since there were so many raving reviews but my family and I had an uncomfortable and creepy experience. The host showed up unannounced several times claiming to water the flowers as they peered through the windows at us. They live close to the property and would often walk over in the mornings. There was also undisclosed surveillance equipment outside and there aren’t any curtains on the windows of the public areas of the first floor so people can easily see inside. When it was time to check out the host and her relatives arrived around 9am even though checkout was at 11am. There are a lot of indoor plants so expect to be annoyed by gnats. I am not sure if the other people who stayed here had the same experience or not and just chose not to write about it or if my family and I were targeted because we are Black. If you book here just keep in mind your privacy may or may not depend on the color of your skin.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Location provides easy access to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. House was very clean and all bathrooms had ample towels. Kitchen equipped with very nice appliances and full complement of pots, pans, utensils and even a spice rack. We met Dao who was very helpful with suggestions of places to visit. One of the best VRBO properties we have rented.

Beautiful home, beautiful location...

We had a perfect stay at this lovely home. It was beautifully furnished and thoughtfully remodeled, in a quiet St. Paul neighborhood next to Como Park. The owner had amazing flowers and plants, even blooming orchids in the bay window overlooking the lake; she was also very responsive to our questions and made us feel welcome. We enjoyed walking around Lake Como, golfing, and sitting out on the patio in the evening watching the sun go down. The beds and linens were clean and comfortable, and the kitchen had brand new appliances, quartz countertops, and all of the utensils and cookware a serious cook would want. During my stay, I needed to work remotely several days, and the WiFi connection worked perfectly and was very fast. I should also add that the house had a grand piano; since I am a pianist this was a big plus! It was hard to say goodbye at the end of our stay! I'd highly recommend this property, it was perfect.

Excellent house~excellent location~excellent owner . . .

Very impressed with the upscale feel of this home. It is right across the street from Lake Como, which has a walking/biking path encircling the lake. This home has an extremely well furnished kitchen, with upgraded appliances. Be advised there is train that runs in the distance. Fortunately, no crossings so no whistles. A pair of ear plugs and/or a white noise app. on your phone covered the sound nicely at bedtime. The owner, Dao, is a gem. She is very responsive. I had the pleasure of meeting her when she stopped by the house to water the plants. Speaking of plants, the outdoor decorative plantings and indoor plants and orchid "grove" were just wonderful.
