A great home on a wonderful piece of property. We stayed for a long weekend and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts are communicative and have provisioned the cabin very nicely. The location is great; close to town but tucked away along the river on a less traveled section of water. We brought our young children and the hosts had a water table and some other toys for them to enjoy which was great. There is some fishing access that comes with the home but is otherwise limited in the immediate area. We would recommend this home to anyone that is looking for a comfortable getaway in a picturesque setting.
This is the second time we stayed at this beautiful cabin. We love the location, the view, the open floor plan, the comfortable beds and seating areas, the quiet!!!! Owners are lovely and very responsive. Looking forward to our next stay!
Owners were helpful and responsive. Would absolutely stay here again!!

Serene and secluded
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cabin and the surrounding area. The home was fully equipped with all amenities and the property is well maintained and clean. Our only criticism would be that the beds did not have good pillows and it made sleeping a little less comfortable than it could have been. Considering that everything else with the property was first rate, this seems like an easy problem to address. Thank you for having us!

Welcoming and serene
What a lovely cabin--really so much more than a cabin, they thought of everything, leaving us cookies and fresh towels and great books and even a collection of DVDs. The home is beautifully, cozily furnished, our hosts were gracious, we had a wonderful time. Our 6-year-old son LOVED the bunk bed best! Highly recommended.

Clean and quiet - great rental
A group of 5 stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding in a town nearby. The owners were not around to meet us personally but made sure that our "check-in" was seamless and without issue. They were communicative throughout the process. The house itself is very nice. The photos on this site do not do it justice. It has a pretty sizeable setback from the road so it is nice and quiet (not that the road is very busy anyway). I would recommend.

perfect hideaway
Our experience could not have been better. This rental exceeded all of our expectations. Laura was an incredible hostess, everything from fresh baked cookies to the bottle of wine waiting for us. We have rented a lot of houses over the years but none can compare with how well equipped this one was, nothing was overlooked. The setting is picture perfect and so peaceful. If you are in to long walks, fishing, swimming in the river and escaping this is the place to go. The wildlife is spectacular, baby deer and mother, bald eagles and lots of cows to just name a few. This definitely brought together my husbands passion for the outdoors and my passion for comfort. We now want to visit again during the Fall for the foliage, the Winter for fireplace snuggling and the Spring for the great trout fishing. If you are ready to decompress this is the place for you.

We had a wonderful stay. The check-in procedure was easy and convenient. The cabin is located in a peaceful setting and has a nice river view. We appreciated the home made cookies and bottle of wine that were waiting for us when we arrived. The owners are easily accessible and responsive. The cabin is a short drive from town.

beautiful and serene stay
My family of four stayed in this beautiful cabin for three days at the end of June. The owners were so very kind, helpful, and available to any of our questions regarding the home as well as the area. This beautiful log cabin home sits up on a hill with a view of the river from the back porch, and an endless view from the meadow to the mountains on the other. We spent a lot of time on the porch, just gazing at the beauty of upstate New York. The home had everything we needed- comfortable beds, linens, kitchen essentials, spices, DVDs, Wi-fi (essential for my husband who needs instant access to work), lots of hot water, and a great place for all of us to relax together as a family! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us, and we hope to return next year!

All That We Expected and More . . .
This was our first VRBO rental, and we were not disappointed. Hosts Pat and Laura Wilson started our visit off with a bottle of champagne and homemade chocolate cookies, and it just kept getting better . . .
The one feature that attracted both of us to the cabin was the series of pictures (they were all very accurate) and especially the ones that showed the glassed-in sun porch. My wife and I couldn't wait to use it. "She" used it for part of virtually every day, just relaxing and reading, while I was fly fishing nearby on the nearby West Branch of the Delaware River and the Beaverkill. I finally got "my turn" on the next-to-last day of our stay, and it was worth the wait. The room is exhilarating and relaxing. The house was immaculate, and everything was in perfect operating order. The furnishings were first-rate (we especially LOVED the art work throughout the house) and our hosts were very accommodating, even to the point of meeting us at a hastily-arranged spot, off site, when our GPS failed to locate their property properly (there's a tongue twister!). The Wi-Fi was solid, and the kitchen (where I spent a good deal of my time preparing food for my special diet) was fully equipped and then some. I had no problem finding everything and anything I needed to prepare my meals. We didn't have to buy a thing; everything (right down to paper towels, napkins, and garbage bags) was all there. We saw loads of deer and other wildlife, and even sighted an American Bald Eagle on the last day of our stay. As we watched it soar over the river it seemed to say "Come back soon," and God willing, we certainly will!
Becky and I rated our vacation rental at the Wilson cabin a five-star experience, and we highly recommend it to anyone who wants to stay at a "home away from home," which is exactly what the Wilsons' wonderful cabin turned out to be. Thank you, Pat and Laura, for allowing us the privilege of spending a week in your beautiful log home. We will never forget it.
Note: Two small "glitchy" things: First, although the flat screen TV was as large (or larger than) advertised, it was housed in a furniture unit that hid about 6" of the picture on either side; Second, we could have used a pair of night tables with lamps in our downstairs bedroom. However, if that's the worst thing you can say about a vacation rental . . . well . . . you get the picture.
Our advice: Make "your" reservation now! You will love the Wilson house!

Great Place to Relax
Four fishermen, looking to try their luck on the classic Catskill trout streams. The cabin was the perfect spot for our headquarters. Situated on the banks of the East Branch, it was an idyllic location, Laura and Pat have furnished the cabin very tastefully and thoughtfully, and we enjoyed the cabin as much as we enjoyed the fishing nearby. Our hosts were considerate and gave us many tips for getting the most out of our stay. Among our fishermen, we all agreed that we want to return next year. It was such a pleasant experience!

About the host
Hosted by Owner / Property Manager
Pat and Laura Wilson have been coming to Peas Eddy for over 35 years. Laura grew up on the farm that is adjacent to the property. We live in Memphis, Tn. and frequently return to New York for rest, relaxation and family vacations.
Why they chose this property
The beauty of the farm and surrounding property is simply stunning. The seclusion of the cabin makes one feel as if they are all alone. Deer, turkey, bald eagles, ducks are always on display sometime during the day. The night time sky is breathtaking. Whether sitting in front of a roaring fire by the fireplace or in front of a campfire, the serenity and solitude is something you'll forever cherish. That's why we chose to buy the home and our wish is to share this wonderful place with all who enjoy a true country setting
