About this property

GETAWAY LOG CABIN with 2-ACRE POND FOR REST AND RELAXATION

READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BOOKING
This is a no-frills, simple log cabin surrounded by pastures interrupted by patches of trees and brush.

BOOKING CONSTITUTES AGREEMENT WITH THE FOLLOWING:
Driveway is rocked but last 1000 feet NEED TO BE WALKED! LEAVE your vehicle on the rocked section. Walk from this point. Violation can result in vehicle getting stuck which will be your responsibility including the repair to any ruts caused.

Violation of any of the rules WILL FORFEIT the ENTIRE DEPOSIT.
No outdoor footwear in the cabin; you are welcome to wear socks or clean indoor footwear.

Please, no pets nor service animals; my son is allergic to hair and danders. And please do not remove anything from the property. Any missing item will be charged against the deposit.

Due to a previous guest who booked for 3 but secretly brought in 25+ more guests who stole, caused massive damage to the cabin and trashed the surroundings, WE DO COUNT the number of guests at check in. We then lock the gate. Just let us know if you need to exit and return so we can unlock.

I UNDERSTAND that rules can be off-putting, but due to previous violations by DAWN S., MARC A., TOPACIO F., I must emphasize these rules. Our extremely clean place is for the enjoyment of every guest, including you, so please follow the rules for the benefit of others. "Leave it in the same condition that you found it."

Be careful
Mark has so many rules and he watches everything you do. You can’t leave no mistakes you absolutely have to clean up behind yourself cleaner than he left it or he’ll complain and try to charge you extra. Please don’t have ANY accidents because he WILL charge you extra on top of his cleaning fee. No shoes are allowed in the home neither is house slippers must be barefoot or he’ll charge you again please bring YOUR own everything pot pans kitchen utensils bedding towels etc because if you use marks he will charge you again!.. there’s only ONLY one exit can’t use back door at all can’t leave door open for a breeze of fresh air or open windows there was mold in the refrigerator and it wasn’t clean. There low water pressure & water doesn’t get very hot. A/c works good but has a smell when used also when flushing the toilet there is also a smell. The lake is nice and the view is pretty & relaxing

Relaxing & peaceful
Great hospitality from the host. The cabin is very nice. Our family had a great time enjoying the pond, kayak/canoe, fishing, the scenery, the farm animals around. Truly relaxing and peaceful stay.

A very nice cabin !
This is a very nice and clean cabin. My family truly enjoyed it and the pond. There were large mouth bass and catfish in the pond and the fishing was super good. Mark was super helpful and offered much needed help to unload our stuff when we arrived (because it just rained so we couldn't drive to the cabin). We have stayed in many vacation homes before and this cabin is definitely one of the nicest. We highly recommend it to anybody and we are actually considering to rent it again soon.

Amazing place and an even better host!
Mark, Mathew’s dad, was a phenomenal host. Property was even better than it looked in the pictures. There were snacks and water in the fridge upon arrival! Mark was very responsive and helpful for any questions we had. Just an all around great weekend at this property. Definitely will go back again!

Very nice and peaceful
Loved this property and would highly recommend it. The host was very nice - even left us roses and some snacks! It was a beautiful log home... totally different from any cabin we have ever stayed in! My husband would have liked a cooler a/c in the bedroom and one of the beds was a little soft for him - other than that we were totally happy withour stay! Thanks!

Beautiful piece of paradise!
Honestly this family of upmost southern hospitality should be charging way more for this slice of heaven. From the awesome cabin we literally spent several hours just staring at to the amazing property it sits on. This place will leave you wanting more. My fiancé and I spent our late valentines day here and I can say it was more than worth it. The best way to summarize it is by stepping foot on this property. Fresh country air, great pond, just everything about it was amazing! Dont get discourage by the one review of a poor misguided soul that doesn't realize you have to respect someone's property and wishes to their full extent. After all the work this family put into this beautiful place the best thing to do is leave it as you found it. Thank you for the welcoming stay Mr. Bitara we will be seeing you soon!!

Wonderful little vacation place
This a beautiful little place. The owner is very respectful and easy to deal with. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a greeting card, movie tickets and wonderful selection of breakfast foods. Including cereal, fresh fruit, muffins and coffees. We did request coffee cups that were brought to us by our host immediately with sincere apologies. We had total privacy. The views were gorgeous. It was very clean. The fishing was outstanding. We enjoyed the canoe and kayak so much we came home and purchased one of each. I enjoyed the wildlife and the cows, very peaceful to watch. We were permitted to have a fire by the pond and it has a grill also that we used. My husband and were ready to leave the suburbs for a little slice of heaven like this. We will definitely be back many times.

2/10 Terrible

Worst experience I’ve ever encountered with anyone I’ve ever rented a home from. I’m shocked !!
I have never been treated as badly as The owner of this property treated us. First, he failed to mention that you have to walk 3+ minutes through a muddy cow pasture to get to the cabin, so i ruined a $275 pair of boots walking in the rain carrying my bags to my car. He has now updated his profile page, stating the things he has accused us of not following the rules on. My husband drove to the cabin at 3am after working 26 straight hours and left tire marks on the ground but nothing that would be noticeable once it dried up. He wasn’t going to walk in the dark while it was raining and cold outside after working 26 straight hours. The owner is now threatening to sue us for damages caused to his cow pasture which was not damaged. He also accused us of taking two hand towels and harassed me about staining another one that was used to clean the kitchen because there were no dish towels in the cabin. I was back at home after our terrible experience at this property preparing for Thanksgiving Dinner and He kept texting me asking about the stained towel. I didn’t reply after the 4th time of going back and forth. He Never mentioned anything at this point about ruts in the pasture. I even went to the store and bought a swiffer mop and a regular mop along with cleaning supplies to make sure it was clean so he wouldn’t have to clean it himself. And this is how he treats someone who went out of their way to make sure his place was taken care of. So now he’s kept my deposit because of a Dirty hand towel and 2 supposedly missing hand towels. This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. Had i known i would have to walk through a muddy pasture in the rain for a lengthy walk i would have thought twice before i rented this cabin. He portrayed himself to be a very kind and hospitable person but in fact, he has been a very argumentative and threatening type of person. I will never rent from this individual ever again due to this awful experience we had with him.

Nice, quiet, relaxing
We had a great time watching the Lightning Storm and listening to the midnight rain on the metal roof. The cabin itself is beautiful, the pictures don't do it justice. Great place.

Relaxing and Picturesque
Mark was such a hospitable host. He was a great communicator and met me at the gate to make sure I knew how to get to the cabin and then gave me a tour of the cabin and the property. The cabin itself is open and nicely designed and the outside is private and beautiful. Rent this cabin if you can!

Our family really enjoyed the hospitality of the owner along with the charm of a cozy country getawa
Our family enjoyed the cabin. We were looking for a getaway that was close enough to College Station to attend the football game. We couldn’t have been more excited about our choice. Our kids enjoyed the fishing and outdoor activities and the owner made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We would recommend the cabin for a place to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city.
