The cabin was very nice. The arcade machine and pool table were nice touches. The Weber grill unexpected. The security guard at the gate where we entered the grounds was not helpful and almost rude. I did not have cell phone connectivity to look up the cabin code, and he was unable and unwilling to assist me. But I would come again, and just take the cell phone lack of coverage into acccount.

Comfort
We had a wonderful time at this cabin. It met all our needs with the three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Rod was so nice to assist us and let us even check in earlier in the day than scheduled which worked out extremely well since our granddaughter needed a nap after lunch. There were a nice place to park and turn around and just far out of town enough for quietness but close enough to the main town. We will definitely stay with them again.

Just ok
Very disappointed . Downstairs bed was very uncomfortable. Downstairs bedroom had a king bed which took up the majority of the room making it difficult to get out of one side. Shower doors had visible soap scum and looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned very well from last guest. The pool table had a large L shaped rip in the felt. Walls and floors were very thin. When anything hit the ground upstairs it was extremely loud and startling downstairs. We could hear conversations in the roomAbove us. We had to cut our stay short and was only able to stay one night instead of 2due to severe weather alerts, snow. We received Alerts from The owner recommending not to travel due to weather, so we left the next morning. The following morning after we checked out, we received notifications that cars had been abandoned on the mountain and were unable to make it to the cabins. We requested partial refund for the night and days we didn’t get to stay and were denied. I feel like we should have received a partial refund due to the weather because it was out of our control. We apparently made the right decision to leave based on safety . The Cabin served the purpose but wasn’t worth 648 For less than 24 hours that we were there. Upon arriving at the gate we were given directions to the cabin. The recommended road was very steep &dangerous. We were visibly shaken upon arrivalWe were later told we should have followed GPS directions, not those provided toUs. No attempt toCompromise

I’m picky… and this is PERFECT
This cabin was everything I could’ve hoped for and more. It was absolutely perfect for our 10-person holiday party. From the cozy living room where we all gathered by the fire—some of us even crashed on the floor because it was so warm and inviting—to the breathtaking mountain setting, this place felt like a dream. It’s one of those rare spots that somehow feels better than home. The layout and atmosphere made it so easy for everyone to relax and connect, and the views? Unbeatable. I honestly don’t have enough words to describe how much I loved staying here. It felt like stepping into a postcard. For the hosts, just a couple of small things to think about: the water pressure in the kitchen sink was a little frustrating at times, and the steps to the hot tub froze over, which was a bit of a safety hazard. But honestly, those are tiny gripes compared to how incredible this place is.I would book this cabin again and again. I’m already dreaming about my next trip back. Thank you for sharing this magical space with us!

Great secluded cabin set in the mountains
We loved the cabin. The set up allows for privacy between guests/bedrooms. This was the most well stocked and equipped rental property I have ever stayed at. The owner goes out of the way to make it a true vacation for you. Plenty of paper products were supplied and the kitchen had more dishes and utensils than any rental I have used. Cabin was decorated for Christmas which was one of the reasons we chose it. The area is quaint and everything you think mountain living with a creek on property would be. We didn't get to see any bears (guess they were all sleeping for the winter) but squirrels and the largest woodpecker I have ever seen in my life did visit often. Just a note if it is important to you, there is zero cell service. You are at the mercy of wifi calling. The wifi is high speed and we had no issues using it for calls, etc. except when the power went out. It was a rainy week for most of our visit and we did lose power twice. It came back on pretty quickly so, no big issue for us.We will definitely stay here again. Directions into the cabin will send you up a steep, one lane incline. Scared me to death the first time and then we became masters. We also discovered an alternate route in and out but still used the shorter route/incline. I only mention it because we arrived late at night and it truly did scare me, but I promise it is easy to navigate and the cabin at the top is worth the ride! Thanks again to our gracious host for sharing your cabin!

We had the BEST time staying at this cabin. Rod & Julie were the most precious hosts - they were so generous! I also loved how it was stocked up with essentials. Most VRBOs I go to don’t have anything, but they had everything you could think of (including spices). Super hospitable and in a quiet and safe area.

Already planning our next stay
We had a wonderful visit. The cabin was clean and quiet. It had everything we needed. We were just minutes away from all that Pigeon Forge has to offer, but the back porch was the place to be. We actually saw more wildlife in the there than we did at Cades Cove. We even had a juvenile bear, known as Bernie, who visited everyday just before sundown. Rod was the perfect host. He let us check in early, leave late, and made himself available if needed. We can't wait to return.

Fantastic cabin in Shagbark
This is our 18th year to stay in cabins in the Fall. We have never had a cabin so well stocked.....trash bags, towels, kitchen ( there is a blender, crock pot, and mixer) pans and dishtowels. Toilet paper! The hot tub was wonderful. The cabin is private and Rod was the perfect host. He and Julie answered every question immediately. Highly recommend

Great Mountain Retreat
Mostly, we loved the bears who wondered through the property daily! Sitting on the porch swing and one would silently walk across the driveway. AWESOME! The cabin had everything we needed, for out stay and we used the Olympic sized pool and snack bar, that Rob pays for us to use. The roads were a little scary at first, but we got used to them as the week progressed. The hot tub was great after a day in town. Although we didn't have a clear view of the neighbors, their dog was loud at times. Overall, we did enjoy our stay and would consider going back and trying one of their other cabins.

Great Cabin
We loved this cabin it was perfect for our whole family. The kids loved the game room. We did see a bear multiple nights in a row. The incline up the road before getting to the cabin was a little intimidating but there is another way in and out of there to avoid it. The owner is very friendly and responsive to any and all questions. Internet speed was great. No complaints

Quaint and peaceful
Wonderful log cabin tucked away in the mountains. Beautiful hillside and wonderful visit by local black bear who walked right up the driveway. The pool table was popular for the kids and the hot tub was a relaxing escape at the end of the day for the adults. My only recommendation is to perhaps consider making one of the bedrooms into a bunk room with multiple bunk beds for easier sleeping arrangements for younger children or teenagers. Overall we had an amazing time and would stay there again.

Location is amazing! So close to the action in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Saw a fox, raccoon and ended the week with a bear! Rooms afforded privacy and the beds and linens were super comfortable. Kitchen had everything needed for a great week! Only downside was the floors could use a good scrubbing. Loved the privacy and tranquility and would recommend.

We had a wonderful time. The cabin was as stated in the description. The beds were comfortable as was the living room furniture. Kitchen had every type of pan or dish that we needed. Water pressure was very good and hot water is plentiful. Wi Fi worked well as did the TV's. Hot tub was great after a day out and about. The cabin is set back about 300 ft from the road and surrounded by trees so it felt very private. Check in was breeze. We did see 3 different bears on the property during our stay, but they were just passing through and caused no issues. Overall the stay was very comfortable for the 3 generations of family and we all agreed if back in the area we would stay at Smokey Mtn Blessings again,
