Our family had a wonderful vacation on Elmore Lake. The children loved jumping off the dock, swimming and kayaking. We loved riding our bikes into town to the Elmore store and playground. The blueberry bushes were a nice surprise. We picked fresh blueberries every morning. The house was wonderful and had all we could ask for!
The property and location were perfect. Very quiet and relaxing. The view of the Mt Elmore’s reflection on the lake is something you see on a postcard. The property had everything you and we just loved watching the hummingbirds with our morning coffe and evening meal. You couldn’t ask for for or need anything else.
Excellent stay with a beautiful view! Our family enjoyed our week long stay at this Lake house! It is positioned far enough away to enjoy nature and all of its beauty. It was only a 10-15 min drive to Morristown town center and the grocery store. We would love to visit again.
This property is in a beautiful area. The outside area is gorgeous. Ample parking, however, the area in front of the garage is a bit difficult if you have a larger vehicle.
This house is in need of some major updates, including furniture.

Quiet, restful and beautiful get-away on Lake Elmore
We enjoyed a few days on Lake Elmore in this lovely home. While we were there in very cold temperatures, we were very warm inside and enjoyed the snow covered yard and lake view in front of the home. Well equipped home that felt like home. Property owners were very responsive and helpful when we had questions.

Very responsive owners and well stocked home
Excellent lake resources and lake home features. A lovely vacation including fortunate timing for weather - considering June could be iffy in New England! Resources for toddlers was fortunate and a bonus. The home is quite safe for little ones with a super and simple swing set that rivals swings anywhere! We had delighted children daily
We had a nice and easy stay. Everything was as advertised and reasonable for the price. We spent our timing skiing at Stowe, which is a 30-minute drive. House has 2 bedrooms, which was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids), located on a quiet street on the lake with gorgeous views. Kitchen is well stocked and all equipment works well. The only concern we had was that the house was a bit cold. The propane stove heats it as much as it can, but we had to keep bedroom doors open to keep bedrooms warm at night as it was January and it was-9F outside.
Perfect location, for lakefront enjoyment (canoe, kayak, paddle board, fire pit, barbecue, picnic table, deck and lawn seating); walk to general store; services in Morrisville — Hannaford's, Price Chopper, Pleasant Street car repairs, Bijou movie theater; easy drives to Stowe/Waterbury, Montpelier, and cultural events, even classical music(!) in the Northeast Kingdom. All this plus a customary Fire Tower hike, and multiple Fire Tower Pizzas from the Elmore Store. More loons this year, but fewer ducks — something to ponder while sipping a beverage. More power-boating, too; enough to stir up the silt around the dock but not so much as to spoil the swimming. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!
A transplanted Vermonter, I try to return at least once each year and Elmore is my favorite place to stay.
The Bryant’s home is just terrific with great views of the lake and mountain. My favorite time of day is sunrise as the mist rises from the lake and the mountain is shrouded in fog. The location is great for easy walks to the General Store and church. The Elmore Sugarhouse was open, too!
We were two couples. Our Colorado friends wanted to see Vermont — and wanted to see it in the fall. The views from the master bedroom were ample evidence of Vermont’s beauty. They loved it.
Elizabeth was extremely accommodating and responsive when we had questions. The layout of the house makes for a gracious, easy stay. The beds are comfortable. We had everything we needed. I am so very grateful for the Bryant’s willingness to share their vacation home with others. Pure bliss.
The lake house is the perfect spot to enjoy VT. The house is clean, comfortable and very well equiped. We loved the dock, swimming and all the water toys, thank you for sharing this beautiful property w us. 5 stars across the board!
Upon walking into the space you could see the thoughtfulness the owners had put towards the details in the interior design. In addition, there are magnanimous views and a variety of seating to enjoy the lake scenery as well as a grill, fire pit, corn hole, paddle board, kayak, canoe and a humming bird feeder that does not disappoint. The owners conveyed through their information binder, their knowledge of Lake Elmore, the secret treasures of the local area and a multitude of activities within the surrounding towns thus ensuring many fun outings. After a full day of physical activity coming back to this home was a peaceful refuge.🌸
Amazing house with amazing views. We stayed for 3 nights and already miss it. Too bad it has been rented out for the summer already, otherwise we would love to come back!
Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home! We skied Stowe and hiked Elmore. Noting from the firepower where our VRBO was. The ice was super thick and we walked out there a bit as well, no skating though as there was too much snow. A positive problem! We loved the fireplace after our cold adventures. Thanks again.
The house was lovely and sits right on beautiful lake Elmore. We woke up to great views of the mountain each day. The house was as advertised and met all of our needs. Cross country skiing and snowshoeing available right on the property with lots of other options nearby.
We wanted to get a few nights away to break up the monotony of all of us not going anywhere for months. This place was perfect for our family of 4.
It had just enough space to not be crowded but not more than needed. I loved the front entryway and how spacious it was as a “landing zone” for snow gear.
The boys were able to play in the snow and make some awesome snow tube runs. We liked how the road was well plowed but not busy with only resident traffic.
We loved that it was only 20 minutes from Stowe as we love the town!
We only wish we had more time to enjoy it and also wish it was summer to enjoy the lake. Our boys have already asked to come back in summer so hopefully we can make it happen.
Ralph was very responsive to the two questions I had via messages and phone. Thank you for sharing your house with us!
