Hakuba Powder Cottage is a beautiful 3 year old self-contained unit. The cottage is just under 100 square meters of functional space, the unit was designed by my wife Hiroko Kowal. This cottage features a functional modern kitchen in a wide open living room area with a large dining table, sofa and TV. Upstairs you will find 3 bedrooms with space for up to 6 guests. Located in the heart of Echoland Hakuba’s main après ski and dining area.

We are a Japanese Canadian family. We are very active and love Hakuba very much.
We have lived in Hakuba for 15 years and know a lot about the area. I love to ride my bike and ski just about every day that I can, even if it is only for an hour. My wife loves Yoga, hiking and house design. My kids are very active and play almost every sport that they can.

Why they chose this property
We designed this house to be simple and easy to use. The house is floor heated and is very well insulated. You will not be cold. We have packed the house with just about anything that you will need for a vacation.
