Nestled in the Animas River Valley surrounded by the San Juan Mountains, the breathtaking mountain town of historic Durango awaits.



With the Animas River—El Río de las Animas (River of Souls)—running through and just steps away from San Juan National Forest, this is the ideal getaway for outdoor aficionados with gold medal fly fishing waters, whitewater rafting, kayaking and canoeing. Durango is also popular for outdoor activities like hiking, mountain biking, road biking, backpacking, slacklining, rock climbing, hunting, off-roading, year-round fishing, and golfing. A visit to Durango would not be complete without a ride on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, with stunning mountain scenery and an education on the area's mining history.



The Durango Resort offers apartment-style accommodation with fully equipped kitchens, a fitness center and two outdoor hot tubs with breathtaking mountain views.



The resort assigns the specific unit around the time of check-in so your view may vary. Let us know if you have a preference to be near a specific location throughout the resort or if you would like a specific view. We will gladly notate your preference and send this over to the resort as your stay gets closer. Please notate that requests are not guaranteed.

For the entire construction period, there will be a one-lane closure to the main road leading to the resort and a full closure periodically. Additionally, construction noise will be ongoing from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. You may encounter noise, dust, odors, and work crews during this time. If you have any questions, please reach out to the resort directly

The online pic was a bit deceiving. It shows the building and a hill out side if it. Actually it is right up against the train yard in one due snd a hotel on the other side. Really not close to nature as the pic indicated. However you could easily walk to the historic district snd restaurants.

We loved these rooms! The bed.was comfy and room was nice and spacious. The location was.perfect for our stay. The staff was also very nice and helpful. We were disapoonted in oir balcony view. We were expecting a mountain view as depicted on the booking site. Instead we had a view of a.motel under construction. Also, we were i formed when we checked in that we had to pay for parking. They said we were notified, but we failed to receive notification.

The property was very clean and had a super comfortable bed. The balcony off the bedroom had a great view across to the mountains. The apartment had everything needed for a self catering holiday. There were building works going on immediately outside the hotel, however we were not disturbed by any noise. The only small complaint was the additional parking charge of $12.00 per day which we were unaware of. Otherwise we had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend this apartment.

We looked for a place close to the historic downtown area and train depot. We couldn't have picked a better location. The only negative things would be that the description of the property claimed mountain views and we couldnt see any from the hotel and the TV didnt offer much to watch but it wasnt a game changer. Overall, we loved our stay. any of thise from the hotel.

Walkable Durango Property
We loved how close this property was to restaurants, shopping and the narrow gauge railway. My husband kept remarking how nice the Wyndham property was. Comfortable and nicely stocked.

These condos are right near downtown and the train depot, so you can walk everywhere. Very close to the river trail too. The staff, especially Alex, are very friendly and accommodating as well.

The property is conveniently located in the heart of downtown, with easy access to shops, restaurants and the train station. Pricing was quite reasonable, beating the price of most hotels.

The location was perfect. Everything was within walking distance. My only complaint was the “wrestling” that was going on upstairs. I am not used to apartment living, so it was a bit loud. Beautiful property and pleasant stay.

Quick getaway to Durango, CO
Biggest complaint is that this is not what is advertised. It is an old, out of date, Wyndham. It was described as Mountainside Resort. The picture is also not accurate. Yes, the area is under construction (a little bit- didn't affect us) and is walkable to downtown, but it is overpriced for what it is. It's a bit dark and dingy. It does have a balcony and the bed is comfortable. The bathroom is unacceptable and the living/kitchen is underwhelming. I also prefer to speak directly with someone if I have questions. The property manager did communicate via their website, but it is very impersonal and ineffective. And lastly, they make it seem like some big deal with check in, everything must match or you will be turned away, etc,. It is literally a hotel. Laughable. We did enjoy our stay in Durango but the accommodations were the biggest disappointment.

Perfect location for Durango stay.
We spent 4 nights at Club Wyndham Durango and had a very pleasant experience. We were walking distance to train station and Main St which was so convenient. The hotel was clean, spacious and comfortable. Everyone at front desk was helpful, but Tom was a stand out, full of information and wanting to be sure we had all we needed. We would love to stay here in our next trip to Durango!

Location was even better than I thought. Only a few minute walk to the station for the DSNGRR excursion. Staff were great, from front desk to maintenance. Unit was small, but had separate bedroom, which was nice, but not what I saw when choosing it. I wasn’t disappointed, but just surprised.
