Ideal Stay

The property was excellent. Roomy, comfortable accommodations with a great view of the park. Great location with a surrounding neighborhood that is fun to explore and has a lot to offer. More than enough parking nearby. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Most important, Ryan was an incredible host--communicative, caring and included little touches that added to the whole experience.

New Orleans Family Getaway

This was an adult family trip to run a nearby half marathon. The location was perfect, far enough from downtown but only a short uber trip to Bourbon Street. Parking was ample, the kitchen came stocked with some basics and the location, across the street from the park (where there is a Cafe Du Mond), was perfect.

Perfect stay

We wanted to be located across from City Park during a parade weekend so we could walk over and get the kids beignets/playtime and have some distance from the parade route (but still an easy drive!). The house is very clean and comfortable, nice linens & bathrooms, well-stocked kitchen with great coffee & local snacks, and excellent communication with hosts. They even brought us a non-essential item that we’d inquired about for the duration of our stay. Recommendations were excellent, location perfect, adorable and private backyard patio.

Amazing spot for a wedding party!

My bridesmaids and I stayed at this Vrbo and got ready for my wedding here and we couldn’t have found a more perfect spot! It’s even nicer than the pictures and is in the perfect location right across from City Park. The apartment is spacious and beautiful; everyone commented on how good of a find it was. The host was incredibly kind, communicative, and helpful! Would highly recommend this spot and definitely would return!

Typical old but well renovated/ modernized New Orleans home right on City Park. Excellent location and close to everything we needed. Fabulous and helpful hosts who live right next door. I recommend!

Beautiful apartment facing City Park

As two sisters and spouses in our 70’s, we stayed at this lovely condo for six nights. It is in a wonderful location across from City Park and has recently been renovated including an exceptional kitchen, three lovely spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds and updated bathrooms. The only negatives were first, a small shower in one bathroom which did not work for one visitor who needed some handicap support. Also, we found the table with stools in the kitchen not as comfortable as we would have liked for enjoying meals together. Overall, a beautiful renovated apartment with a very responsive and nice owner who lives next door. Since the apartment faces City Park, there are lovely views from the apartment and it afforded opportunities for daily hikes on the parks many trails. The neighborhood also has lots of interesting architecture to explore. It was a wonderful stay!

Great cozy home, location perfect for enjoying city park--we could watch the birds and the train go by from the front porch! Perfect for families or anyone who wants to enjoy New Orleans without being too close to French Quarter.

New Years Getaway

Property was very clean and conveniently located across from the city park. We were able to go on walks in the park and have coffee at Cafe du Monde every day. It was a very short walk. We really enjoyed our stay in New Orleans.

Perfect Family Stay

We enjoyed our visit - 3 generations under one roof - and the house was perfect. Easy access to all the things to do in the city. The park is right across the street and there are cute and easy to walk to restaurants and coffee shops. Hosts were communicative and the house was wonderful. We’ll be back!

This was home base for my daughter’s wedding in City Park, and no words will do it justice. Host is exceptional - responsive, accommodating, flexible, gave local recommendations and insight; Ryan was available the entire stay and made the checkout the EASIEST checkout I’ve ever had. And the location is unbeatable for anyone wanting to experience NOLA! Everyone that saw the place raved as well. Spent five nights and always had a parking spot right out front! This will definitely be my go-to place when visiting my son-in-law’s family!

Wonderful Home!

We had a great time staying at Ryan's lovely home! The renovations were beautiful and the place was very comfortable. The entre home was spotlessly clean and nice. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom towels thick and super fresh and clean. We appreciated the bottled water, coffee, and snacks the host provided. Ryan was awesome to communicate with and we appreciated him checking in with us to make sure all was well. We loved being across the street from the park and the location was perfect wether we were heading uptown, out to the lakefront, or to Kenner to visit family. It was an amazing weekend! We hope to be back soon and we will definitely stay at Ryan's lovely home again! Don't miss this gorgeous home with a great location!

Amazing, Beautiful, Safe Family trip

The home is even more beautiful and special than the photos show! The home is full of New Orleans charm from top to bottom. Our family greatly enjoyed staying here and would love to come back! We loved watching families walking thru the park that is literally across the street and the views were fantastic! The neighborhood is safe and we enjoyed multiple trips for beignets about a minute away from the house. The host was so communicative and helpful from beginning to end. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed---including New Orleans snacks, coffee and jazz music to greet us! Can't say enough good things about this amazing host and house in such a great part of New Orleans!!

We just got back from a fun family getaway, and this place exceeded our expectations! The location was wonderful right across from city park with a front porch to enjoy it! Ryan, the owner and Lonnie, the property manager were close by in case we needed anything, but we had everything we needed, and then some! I would definitely recommend this place!

Family wedding

My daughter got married at the City Park Botanical Gardens and the house was a perfect place to stay. This is our 2nd time staying at Ryan’s house and it was wonderful! See you again soon Ryan!

We care deeply about our neighborhood and City and have renovated multiple historic homes. We like to be generous hosts and provide guidance for an enjoyable time in NOLA.

Why they chose this property

This house and our neighborhood are literally in the "Middle" of New Orleans. There is so much to offer with restaurants, bars, coffee shops and cultural attractions all nearby. All of this yet still across the street from the 3rd largest urban park in the Country.

What makes this property unique

This is a a complete renovation of a 100+ historic property with high ceilings and original heart of pine wood floors. Our renovation was done with preservation in mind but modern amenities.
