Lovely quiet spot in the farmyard...farm activity going on nearby...dogs, sheep, utes, whistling, and a verandah in the sun to oversee it all or stroll off down the paddock. Very special.

Farm stay
Accommodation is quite nice, but disappointed we actually never met the host. The road to the property (from state highway) is 8 km rough and very dusty and 8 km is to long for my liking.
secluded and close to an impressive nature reserve
sharon is a sympathetic, interesting host and offers a very good service with the maintenance of the cottage. we have the impression that this is above the normal average. the cottage is furnished with natural materials. it is cosy and small. we enjoyed the view of the hills here and were able to relax and drive down very well. we stayed for 3 weeks and think that this was a good decision.
Loved staying in the wee farm cottage at Kyeburn. The instructions for getting there were great and there were wee treats in the fridge when we arrived. It has a nice open feel ,stylishly decorated, a good selection of crockery and cooking utensils and is super clean. Would definitely stay again if we are back in the area.
Great views, quiet and tranquil.Clean, tidy and everything you need in a cottage-(holiday home).Sharon and James are friendly and helpful.Great place to recharge your batteries.Thank you for sharing your paradise.
This was great, one simple email from our hosts and we had directions and contact details if needed. We arrived to find a beautifully clean, tidy, and surprisingly spacious wee cottage that was tastefully decorated, packed (not cluttered) with all the mod cons you miss when not at home. Featuring a full length covered deck looking over a working farm if your looking for a taste of NZ this is it. Happily recomend to all.
Lovely stay in a beautiful warm and cosy bach on a working farm but still super quiet. Great location and comfy beds with a good shower. Only thing for us is we missed not having a table to sit out and eat dinner on, they did provide a tray for your lap but we're really not couch eating people and was particularly difficult with our chosen meals. Some bigger bowls or extra mugs or plates would have been helpful but a very well serviced little bach,. Thanks for a wonderful stay and base for our biking break.
This little cottage was perfect for our getaway for two people (and two dogs). The location is absolutely stunning, the big sky and impressive hills and mountains of the Maniototo never fail to impress. The accommodation itself is beautifully decorated with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Thanks so much for the stay and for being dog friendly!!!
Peaceful location. Definitely worth the drive to the accommodation for a few days away from all the hustle and bustle. Clean and has everything required. Hosts we're very attentive.
Rented this cottage for three nights as a base to exploring the maniototo district.Situated on a working farm the cottage was well presented superbly clean and well appointed really comfortable and warm.
Throughly enjoyed the peace and quiet and was a great place to just relax.
Will definitely like to return in the future and would highly recommend it as a place to stay
Follow the instructions and you will have no problems
We needed rest and we were given everything we needed and extra treats made our stay.loved that we could walk around the farm and to the river, we will be back loved it all . Great family very happy to chat and help if needed.❤️
Beautiful country farm cottage, Welcoming host who went way way beyond what we expected. We felt treated as family.
Thank you Sharon and James for wonderful stay.
I came with intention to do some sight seeing but the properly was so stunning with view that took yourbreath away it was hard t leave. Just a stunning place, if I had the tim I would hve happily stayed longer.
We had four nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hosts were friendly and helpful and the cottage was warm and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the feather duvets made it nice and warm on the cool nights. The kitchen had everything needed to cook all meals. The location, on a farm with wonderful mountain views, was peaceful. Well off the beaten track yet there are many places to visit that are quite a close drive.
This delightful cottage is clean as a whistle, tastefully accessorised and well equipped. The view is beautiful, and we felt miles from anywhere even though it was only a short drive along a safe gravel road. Rosebud and I loved every moment and are looking forward to being return visitors. A big thank you to Sharon, James, Ben and Olivia!
