3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, 1 Office/Nursery, Sleeps 9 (5 beds - 1 King, 1 Queen, 1 Full, 2 Twins, 1 pullout sofa twin). Freshly remodeled in 2024 with new flooring, backsplash, all interior and exterior painted, new recliner, accent chair, washer and dryer, refrigerator, new furniture (queen room), bedding, grill and more (note, pictures won't be updated until May). Our home is only rented three months of the year.

Enjoy the 30A emerald beach by day and relax a large private back yard with an oversized back porch over-looking Hidden Lake in the mornings and evenings.

Newer to rental market, this 3 BR/2.5 BA home is located in Old Florida Village, Santa Rosa Beach; one of 30A’s most desirable rental locations. This community has 2 pools and is an easy walk to three beach accesses (Gulfview Heights, Spooky Lane, Ed Walline State Park) and nearby Santa Rosa Beach shops, entertainment and restaurants. This well-maintained home is newly updated. Additional features include tile floors in the main living area, open floor plan, and electric fireplace. The kitchen has upgraded stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, and breakfast bar. The 2nd floor includes the master suite which overlooks the lake and has additional enclosed bonus area that could be used office/nursery/sitting area. Also located on the 2nd floor are the 2 additional bedrooms and 1 full guest bathroom.

As part of the Old Florida Village community, you’ll have access to two community pools, one of which is right across the street. Walk to nearby restaurants and entertainment venues, or stroll along the 30A trail. A white-sand beach and emerald waters are within a short walk of the home.

ABOUT THE HOUSE
After a day at the beach, rinse off in the outdoor shower, then relax with a glass of wine on the front porch with two chairs. Or head to the back deck, where you’ll find an Adirondack table set with four chairs a wicker lounger, lake views, and a large gas grill. You can also enjoy the back yard paved patio.

The fully stocked kitchen is bright and spacious with its upgraded cabinets and stainless-steel appliances. Pick up local seafood from Goat Feathers and create a seaside dinner to remember. The dining room table can hold six and four more can be seated at the kitchen bar.

In the evening, stretch out on the new sectional couch with reclining chairs or accent chairs. Reminisce about the day’s adventures and watch a movie on the new Smart flat screen TV. A half bath is conveniently located off the kitchen area.

Upstairs, the master bedroom features a king bed, flat screen TV, sitting area, and suite bathroom with double-sink vanity and walk-in shower. There is also enclosed office/nursery bonus room that has a new loveseat with pullout twin bed.

There are two guest bedrooms. One has a queen-size bed and a flat screen smart TV, while the other has a twin over full bunk and an additional twin bed. The shared bathroom has a configured with a tub/shower combination.

Guest amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, a laundry room, and starter supplies for the kitchen and bathrooms.

THE LOCATION
This home is nestled in the charming community of Old Florida Village, where white picket fences, brick pavers, and lush landscaping create a peaceful feel.
When you’re ready to hit the beach, you’re a short walk away from the public access, which offers showers and restrooms.
Highway 30A offers 27 miles of paved bike trails, five state parks, and fifteen coastal dune lakes. Draper Lake is also just a half-mile down the road.
For a meal out or to grab refreshment you’re close to several walking distance restaurants and establishments.
Café Tango offers European fare in a vine-covered cottage.
Local Catch Bar & Grille is a seafood shack with live music. Goatfeather's Seafood is a fish market offering coastal classics.
Shunk Gulley Liquor & Wine features familiar brands such as Jack Daniels, Blue Chair Bay Rum, and Abita Beer, this new go-to package store will also carry a diverse wine selection and all of the extras you need for your next party or trip to the beach.

Great Time!

We stay in this neighborhood annually for the past 10+ years. Always at a different house. This house by far was our favorite. It was spotless, well stocked, and very comfortable. We plan on staying here next year as well!

Great house in an excellent location for Santa Rosa Beach

Excellent communication throughout, with no issues, just questions. This home is in a walkable neighborhood that is about a 10 minute walk to 3 different beach access points. We enjoyed the "private" access on Spooky Lane as it was much less crowded, but the only on where there is no parking. (Parking at the other 2 is challenging and short term at best) The house itself is a great layout. We had a party of 7 with young adults, teens, and parents and had plenty of room. Very comfortable king-sized bed in the master. Everything in the listing is as expected. Modern appliances, cold A/C, nice gas grill. The kitchen has everything needed for long stay. Fantastic water pressure for your shower at the end of a long beach day. Seven thumbs up from our party of 7!

Matt's house was perfect for our family vacation. House was super clean and had all the necessary amenities. Matt was also great. He was very responsive to a plumbing issue during our stay. The community is perfect with 2 pool very close by and 2 beaches within walking distance.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY!

This house was very clean, spacious, and was exactly as advertised in the listing. The neighborhood was very nice and the people were very friendly. There are two pools in the neighborhood which was great. My teenage girls visited both pools which are very close to the house. My girls loved riding their bikes to and from the beach. The distance to the beach was no too bad. Just a short walk or bike ride. Overall, our experience was great and we enjoyed our stay for the week. We will be back!

Family fun

My family and I enjoyed staying here very much. The house comfortable and clean. I like a rental house with tile/wood floors and leather/wood furniture. We cooked several meals at the house which was nice. One night, we picked up fresh seafood at Goatfeathers to cook on the grill. Most of the time we had one of the neighborhood pools to ourselves. Everyone in the neighborhood was very friendly. The walk to the beach was very nice, no need to drive and park. The ocean was calm and beautiful. My kids saw a loggerhead turtle swim by them.

Super clean, spacious, & convenient

We loved our stay at Stu's Seashak! The property was spotless and had plenty of room for the 4 of us to spread out. The pictures accurately portrayed the property: the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are clean and shiny. Additionally, the location was perfect for us. It's in a quiet neighborhood, but Gulfview Heights Beach Access is an easy bike ride to the east and Gulf Place shops and restaurants and Ed Walline Beach Access are an easy bike ride to the west. Lastly, the community is gated and cozy, so it's really easy to walk to one of the 2 pools (which we did more than once a day!). We would definitely stay here again!

Home away from home

It exceeded our expectations. It was absolutely beautiful and extremely clean and inviting and had everything we needed to feel like we were home away from home. Pool and the beach were in great locations. The back porch was a nice get away from reality. We will absolutely be back when we come through Destin again.

Perfect Place to ring in the New Year

LOVED our stay at this PERFECT beach house! The back porch was the perfect reading spot. The neighborhood was quiet with two great pools. The walk to the beach was easy. GREAT LOCATION in Blue Mountain, we walked to dinner, ice cream and coffee shop at Gulf Place. Owners were great to work with! Can't wait to visit again soon!

We are Matt, Kathy, Trent and Tyler Stuart from Kankakee, Illinois (60 miles south of Chicago). Trent a recent graduate from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville and Tyler a current Pitcher at the University of Southern Mississippi. Great friends from Nashville, TN introduced us to the Santa Rosa Beach area in 2013 and we feel in love with it. Growing up visiting beaches throughout the State of Florida - this white sand/Emerald colored water is by far our favorite. We purchased our first property (a townhouse) over at The Legends and rent it out. Now, we plan to stay here ourselves during the school year (to go watch baseball at USM) so decided to buy the house, but share it with others during the summer months.

Why Stu's Seashak II? - Matt's grandparents owned a small cabin in the Northwoods (Marcell, MN) for years and named it "Stushak" (for generations people called the boys/men "Stu" for short). When we purchased our first property in Santa Rosa Beach, we named it Stu's Seashak and now this home will be know was Stu's Seashak II.

Why they chose this property

Very up to date, great location to the beaches and all there is to offer in Santa Rosa Beach and along 30A. Love all the cottage style houses and two pools in this community. This is the first house of many we looked in and around the community. We just kept coming back to this one!
