Nut Point Cottage is the perfect place to escape for a few days, a week, or even longer !!! The grounds of the cottage are magnificent, and secluded, ensuring you taste the best of New Zealand's tranquillity.
Nut Point Centre is located on one side of the grounds, while Nut Point Cottage is at the far end. With a generous lawn to play games, run around, or simply just relax, you can do all this without a care in the world.
Nut Point Cottage is perfect for families looking to cater for themselves, without having to travel miles for groceries.
With quality furnishings to make your stay as comfortable as possible, Nut Point Cottage is excellently located for exploring Christchurch, Mt Hutt and Porters Pass ski fields, and its surrounds.
Unique charms of Nut Point Cottage include viewing the multitude of art work, attending Music events (By annual programme) or just wandering and enjoying the grounds that combine developing native flora and bird life. Nut Point Delights
A lovely retreat loved by all including our dog. Clean woth good water pressure (hot water) and efficient heat pump for the chilly nights.

Lovely little cottage
Lovely little cottage, which was perfect for our short stay, suitable for animals and we loved that we were able to bring our dog with us. House was suitable, however could do with a really good clean, is very sheltered so gets minimal sun which contributes to a dampness feeling and spots of mould that come along with this. Had everything we needed and the general feel of it was lovely. We would stay again.

Perfect Location
The location was spot on for our stay. It was an easy drive into Christchurch or West Melton which had everything we needed. The situation was quiet and private and the property had all the conveniences for our stay of 8 days. A relaxing and pleasant outdoor area was very welcome. Communication with management was prompt and clear. I will definitely be booking this accommodation again.

Communication with the property manager was clear and concise. Easy access. What was extremely disheartening was the building itself. Not a Cottage but a placed prefab building. Green moss covered the majority of the exterior. No garden unless you clarify it as a native garden. Also we booked for a 3 bedroom cottage as we were a group of 3 separate adults. We arrived to find one queen bedroom and a second bedroom with 2 singles. The final bedroom was locked. We booked the property for 3 bedrooms not to share. Otherwise everything was well maintained if not dated. So in conclusion great people but poor property.

A slice of paradise
Beautifully presented quaint three-bedroom cottage with stunning gardens only a 15min drive to Christchurch city centre. Friendly and welcoming host that left extra treats that were appreciated by us all during our stay. We enjoyed having cups of tea and coffee in the garden while the children warmed to the beautiful horses next door.

Comfortable, warm and all we needed for the two nights stay. The only comment was perhaps the steps into the main entrance could have a rail to help especially for those with mobility as an issue.

This was a great place to stay on our recent trip to Christchurch. The cottage is modern and warm on the inside and located in lovely grounds that we would have loved to explore more if the weather was better. It’s not in town but still close enough to enjoy all the Christchurch attractions while visiting.

Out of the city but close enough with a car
A great peaceful country spot but not too far from he hustle and bustle. A good place to chill and a good place to base for exploring. We'd definitely return.

Great and relaxing break. Spent many a day talking to the horses next door and having breakfast or dinner out on the grass in the back yard. Great comms with the host. Had everything we needed. We will be back!

Long weekend getaway
I had an amazing time at the place, it was so quiet and peaceful, the host John was excellent, property was beautiful, modern and self contained. The stay was very comfortable and location was local to rivers, farms and restaurants. Best part was that my doggies were also allowed! Definitely will be back :)

Great spot to hideaway
Very well appointed 3 bedroom cottage. In the country yet easy travelling distance and roads to places we needed to go. We needed somewhere that we could take our puppy with us and this was perfect, although he was totally fascinated with the horses and chickens and myriad of farm smells!!Definitely an on the lead place. Super quiet and peaceful, set in fabulous funky grounds.

Nut Point Cottage - a wee paradise
Whilst unassuming on the outside, Nut Point cottage is clean, warm and comfortable, as well as being fully equipped and tastefully decorated. Waking up to bird song was fantastic and refreshing and we especially enjoyed meeting the beautiful four-legged neighbours. Thanks John.

We are country people having a 10 acre lifestyle block. Youre place had everything. The atmosphere there is great like being at home. Easy to find very clean very well equipped. Has everything you need plus more. Will definately be back great place.
